    I'd give 0 stars if I could.
I'm extremely unsatisfied and want to warn others out there who plan to go to him before they make the same mistake I did. The reviews are deceiving and I'm sure are friends of his trying to promote his business. I booked a touch up and decided to get my nipples pierced as well. My gut told me not to but I did it anyways out of convenience. When it came to picking the jewelry he picked a short curved bar. I asked him shouldn't it be longer incase if swelling? I also asked him i thought it had to be straight and if it would affect the piercing? He said "no as long as I didn't have large nipples" (which I don't) he also said "it doesn't make a difference if the bar is straight or curved." I asked him but what about swelling? He said "oh there will be little to no swelling you will be fine" I asked him isn't that too small shouldn't it be longer like the straight bar? He stated "the curved bar was the same size as the straight one" even though the straight one looked way longer. When it came down to the piercing he did it in the freaking break room.. that has to be breaking some kind of code.. my boyfriend looked at me like wtf.. I should of walked out then but I didn't because I felt some kind of obligation. He does the piercing with clamps, does the touch up.. he goes (which I have on video) the guy who originally did this blew you out so I'm going to have to fix this spot.. oh wait.. didn't I do your tattoo?" and I laughed and responded yes. As soon as he was done I noticed flaws in the lines immediately but I didn't say anything.. I just wanted to leave and be done with it. It looked semi a little better than he had done before it didn't look 10 years old anymore and I was over just over the whole situation. My boyfriend and I left for the weekend because I was my birthday. Well, I'm cleaning it as he suggested, 5 days pass and i notice the swelling starts to kick in and it pulling the ball into my areola... I wake up the next morning on the 6th day and it's pretty much entirely inside of my areola. I was not going back to him as he obviously did not know what he was doing. So I made an appointment at Alpha Omega because I know the piercer there worked in wound care and I've heard nothing but great things about him as well as had great experiences buying high quality jewelry from him. Let me tell you this guy was PISSED when he looked at my jewelry and piercing. For one, he said he'd never use the jewelry Josh used on me, on a mans nipple, let alone a woman's nipple. Two, he uses cheap screw on jewelry that literally cuts the skin and three, the bar josh used was half the normal size piercers use for a new piercing because of swelling and they never use a curved bar on a new piercing which shows his lack of knowledge when it comes to piercing. He changed the jewelry out for a longer straight bar after taxes and cleaner I spent $82 out the door. the next day, same thing the ball was going inside but my nipple was flattening. The swelling was going down because there was more room with the larger bar but this soon revealed a bigger issue. So I went back to Alpha Omega and because my nipple started to settle and the small jewelry was no longer holding it together we were able to see that he didn't actually pierce my nipples! HE PIERCED MY AREOLAS! It was so deep in my areola that the healing time would of taken even longer if I decided to keep them in which I was already expecting 9-12 months so I was looking at 12-24 months for areola piercings!! I did not want my areolas pierced. I wanted my nipples pierced. So I decided to take them out and to get them redone once they healed completely. He offered a “free” hour towards a tattoo and I said no I wanted a refund with no response so I gave him an ultimatum because eff him. I gave him the choice to either make this right by refunding me the $100 and just being done with this whole thing. If not I'd be telling my story on every review platform warning others of the risk they are taking by getting piercings and tattoos at Algood Tattoo in Dixon California. Here we are. He had the choice to do right by his customer and do the right thing and he chose not to. I will NEVER recommend this business to anyone. there are artist in the area a billion times better with better social skills and customer service than this guy. He's a joke of a "professional".

Josh is an amazing artist. While he was working at Wild Bills, he did all of my brothers work, some of my sister in laws, and most of mine. I'm so happy he opened up his own shop. He takes the time to give you the piece you want and the outcome is always remarkable. I highly recommend going to him.

Go to Joe. Seriously, go to Joe. He does amazing work! I looked for an artist for two years to put my sleeve on me and as soon as I saw his work, I knew he was the right artist for the piece. He has lived up to my extremely high expectations.

Now, the shop. It's clean, has an open feel. Not dark and kinda pissed-off feeling like a lot of the shops I've been to. Everyone is friendly, helpful, and seems to truly enjoy their work. Rates are decent. Equipment is clean. Top notch shop.

I've had two tattoo's done by Big Greg and I highly recommend not only him but this shop. They are very friendly, talented, and the place is very clean. The prices are very reasonable and what you get in return is so worth what you spend. Even if you are not from this area, I think you will find it is worth the drive.
Any additional work I may have done will only be done at this shop. Poor guys are stuck with this old lady. If you go to Big Greg's page you will see a tattoo of a sweet chihuahua. That is my baby that passed away that Greg captured perfectly. Today he did a second tattoo of my other sweet baby that just passed. Picture to be up soon. He has given me my babies forever. Just amazing.
You won't be sorry going to this shop.

The owner and employees are outstanding. From the first day I walked into the shop they have treated me like family. They also keep a very clean shop while not making it look like a sterile hospital. I have primarily dealt with "big puz". He is a great artist and has helped me greatly with my tattoo projects. If you are even remotely close and are looking for a tattoo artist I highly recommend you talk with the guys at Algood ink tattoo.
