Probably the rudest staff I have ever came across. I honestly don't know how so many people go to this place. They may know a lot but they are rude and the service sucks. My best friend went to get a piercing and she was nervous and said wait 2 times because she was trying to calm down and the lady said if you say stop one more time I'm not piercing you and had a attitude with us the whole time. I will not be going back.
Review Source:I was visiting the area and wanted to get my ears taken up a size, one re-opened that hadn't healed well before from another shop (my fault - apparently motorcycle helmets don't help new piercings) Â and get another further up the lobe. Kyle handled all that well, quickly, almost painlessly and very professionally. The place is also remarkably clean and everything came out of individually sealed, sterile packaging. Good aftercare instructions too.
It's been two weeks and things are healing nicely so far. I'd have no problems recommending them to anyone looking to get some work done.
Like Amanda, I can't believe how few reviews there are about this place!
I had my lip done here when a friend got his industrial bar; another time for a friend's lip. Every single time, the piercing was done in a professional manner by someone that could catch the drift of how you would like your piercing to go. Need a couple of good, clean chuckles? How about some of that dirty, gutter humor to help put you at ease while he puts a piece of metal through you? The piercers know how to help. If I were to ever get another piercing, this is the first place I would go.
I'll admit, its been a long time since I've been here, but there was a long period of time between ever visit. The shop relatively stays about the same year after year; though face in the crowd, that new body will have the same attitude - a helpful, friendly one from someone who genuinely loves piercing people.
I do wish that they could find some parking somewhere... but what can be helped if there isn't any space? And I really couldn't imagine them being located anywhere else.
i got my forward helix done on 11/23 .. Ericka was wonderful: sharp, professional, and really comforting. but the guy at the front? not so much. I didn't catch his name but he was kind of rude. it was as if he was annoyed that i didn't know about the aftercare of getting pierced. the accent didn't help much since he talked like he had to get it all out under 5 seconds.. i wasn't in there to get perfect service, i was in there to get the piercing done, but he was talking to me like a cop would read someone their Miranda rights on the show cops lol all robotic and authoritative - anyway i would still go back for Ericka..
Review Source:Where do I begin? The staff is extremely knowledgeable, the jewelry selection is the biggest I have seen, they are extremely clean and safe. Each piercer has at least 10 years of experience in the business! This is also the only shop in OKC affiliated with the Association of Professional Piercers! Their jewelry may be a bit more expensive than what other shops sell but it is the best jewelry you can get for body piercings!
Review Source:23rd Street Body Piercing has been around forever with a stellar reputation and a perpetual crowd of people waiting to be punctured- how am I the first person to write a review?
Walked in yesterday for a nostril piercing and was waited on promptly by an extremely cheerful, informative, and professional employee who explained the price, the care procedures, the jewelry options, etc in a friendly, relaxed manner with no "cooler than thou" attitude at all.
After a short wait, I was led back to a room which looked like a better decorated doctor's office. This place takes piercing very seriously- they're spotlessly clean and very concerned about explaining aftercare as well as making sure you're at ease and satisfied with the whole process.
Thirty seconds and very little pain later, I had a (really cute!) nostril piercing which I'm still trying to hide from my elderly grandparents (even though I'm a grown adult- yes, I know). The man who handled my piercing was very sweet and calming and I couldn't have asked for a better experience (be sure to tip your piercer too- they earn it!).
My only complaint would be that parking was a bit tricky (I parked in the empty lot across from Cheever's) but it was also 8pm at night and I might have just overlooked if the shop has any dedicated parking available.
If I ever wanted to get anything else pierced, I'd definitely come to 23rd Street.
