Go to Tommy at Agaru if you enjoy the following:
- Solid Tattoos
- A clean safe environment
- Fair prices
- An artist who starts on time.
- Good conversation with some giggles.
Don't go if you like...
- You like getting tattoos by a guy named "Skip" in a hotel room.
- The chance that you could get a disease that hasnt been identified yet, and has the possibility to be named after you.
I've been a longtime customer of Agaru Tattoos, and I plan on remaining loyal for much longer.
Tattoos are a mixture, in my opinion, of art and craft. Â Art obviously being the skill and final product, and craft being the attention to detail and service. Â In my experience Tommy does both incredibly well. Â I've always loved the tattoos he has done on me, and equally important he ALWAYS starts on time, solicits feedback, and is friendy. Â Having gone to different shops around the country I can tell you Tommy's qualitites are quite rare.
Plus he's a funny dude and a good conversationalist, enhancing the whole experience. Â He'd be great for a first time customer. Â

In response to Rachael E's unpleasant experience, there are several things she failed to mention. besides the fact that She would not allow me to do my Job, her approach in looking for my service was quite unusual. She was unclear of a day or time but demanded i draw for her anyway.. i said i cant do anything without a date and deposit. I talked to her about the piece for about 10 minutes and ensured her i could help her out.. she went on her way.. A few days later on a separate occasion she stopped by while was out of the shop and placed a deposit with another person, never specifying a date or time.. We contacted her shortly after and she told me October 11.. Still couldn't give a time yet and that she had to wait for her work schedule. So I had to block that whole day and wait for further confirmation. she never contacted us.. And of course i was all set, had her sketches ready for the 11th And she never called, never showed. She decides 10 days later to call the studio to verbally abuse me, and accused me of neglect? I tried my best to handle the verbal bashing and even offer to start over.. Her responses were incredibly offensive, and immature. It kills me to have to write this, I debated weather I should. I will not stand to see someone try to tarnish my reputation. I have worked too hard and sacrificed too much.. Every Cliant has my full devoted passion until they cross the line of decency and respect.. Â Thank you to those who take the extra time to read up. I assure you our shop is drama free, and we devote ourselves entirely to give our clients the best experience possible..-Tj DeLany
Review Source:Worst experience I've ever had with a tattoo parlor in my life. Two months after putting down a deposit, TJ still had no sketches for me to look at. He was incredibly unprofessional and did not call to confirm my appointment, nor to let me know he had anything to show for the $20 I put down. He talked down to me like I was worthless and his attitude about the situation was completely unacceptable. I would drive to LA to get a tattoo before I would ever consider giving this place another penny of my money.
Review Source:I've gotten all but two of my tattoos at Agaru Tattoos via Tommy. Â He does a great job and I usually recommend him to my friends, so now I will recommend him to you. Â Sure its a little hike to go from Philadelphia where I live all the way to Wilmington but its definitely worth the trip. Â I am constantly complimented on my tattoos after years and years of having them, the color is still so bright to the point people ask me if I just got mine...no, most of them are over 5 years old...but they still look super fresh and clean. Â
I know there are tons of great artists in the area, but I also highly recommend taking a trip to see Tommy R.
