I'm getting married on Saturday, and my mom bought me some peridot earrings to match my engagement and wedding rings. Only problem is that my ears haven't been pierced since high school, and it was too late to go to Claire's. So I needed to go to an actual piercer and not a crappy mall store.
While speaking on the phone with Jason at Alex's, he articulately explained why he might not be able to pierce my ears. I came in anyway, and I was impressed by how clean and neat Alex's was.
In person, Jason was extremely friendly, personable, and professional. After looking at my studs, he decided he could do it after all. He took care and time to disinfect all his equipment in his spotless studio, and he made neat work of piercing my ears - there was very little blood and it was nearly painless. Throughout it, he asked several attentive questions about my wedding. He made my fifty-something mom feel at ease! Maybe making moms feel at home is not your ideal for a tattoo parlor, but it worked for me.
Best part? He only charged us $10 (tip not included), which was $20 less than I was expecting to pay.
I was very very impressed with Alex's, and I'll be back here if I ever get around to getting a tattoo.
