So my best friends and I decided to get matching tattoos of the friendship symbol which happens to have our initials in there too so that's a bonus!!! Check check... When we walked in we were greeted by Lin and Bear.. Very friendly and courteous check check... We had to tweak the symbol since ONE of us wanted it to be more masculine..*ahem (Justin). So bear was kind enough to clean it up a bit and it turned out perfect! He got all three of us in 2 and half hours! Pretty impressive!! Check check.. They turned out amazing and now we have a lil piece of each other on EACH OTHER ... Awwww Tear =*] ..... gag me damn mushy shit!! Hahah love it. Okay I'm done.
Review Source:Got my nose pierced by Matte for the second time a couple weeks ago. He is amazing and made me feel soo comfortable. He is super experienced (17 years) and soo knowledgable about all piercings/after care. I would def recommend him to anyone. The reason I didn't give this place 5 stars was because as I was in the waiting room, I over heard one of their tattoo artists talking to her client who was in the middle of getting a tattoo on her back. As most of us with tattoos know, the back hurts a lot! The girl was expressing her pain like some of us do, and all I heard Lynn say was things like "this is what you wanted.." "don't cry wolf, you are not the victim". Then she suggested leaving parts of the tattoo out so she could be done faster. I felt the poor girls uncomfortable-ness so it made me really uncomfortable. We love tattoo artists who make us feel comfortable not lecture us about our different pain levels....Just sayin!
Review Source:I have been to alpha omega four times. the first was to get my lip pierced by matte, and he told me no because i had braces. i figured, hey, this guy knows what he is talking about and he cares enough to send me away without a piercing but with a card and $5 off when i come back in. so the second time i went in to finally get my lip pierced, i had waited sooo long. Matte was nice, pretty gentle, and profesional. I was happy with the experience until my lip ring kept falling out. over and over again. this was the expensive one that i had bought from him and i couldnt believe it kept falling out. i went back a third time to have him tighten it and it still fell out so i got a new one despite the recommended 6-months before changing the piercing.
this last time i went to lin to get a tattoo. i love my tattoo and i cant wait to get more, and lin was great. she talked me through the whole time, and my friend was able to sit and watch. it was an exciting experience...
but then i found out from a friend at work that lin is the worst tattoo artist in fairfield and people talk crap about her all the time.
honestly, i like my tattoo and i dont mind her preachy-ness. but, she can be rude. if you give respect, you get respect.
i might think twice before going back. i havent decided.
I'd rate no stars If I could, but because I simply have to, I will. Got a tattoo maybe a year or two back. The staff is rude & disrespectful. All I asked for was a simple skull tattoo behind my ear (its a family tattoo) & the dude messed it up. SOMEHOW the tattoo got smeared which I thought was impossible but whatever. Hated the place so much that I went somewhere else to get it retouched.
Review Source:This is kind of a long story...but it's important, and is all part of my experience with Alpha-Omega. Â Hope it helps!
I was working up in Fairfield for the summer, and had a few unexpected medical issues arise while I was there. Â I had gotten my ears pierced at Pierced Out in San Jose in mid July, and then in the middle of August, was finding myself needing to have an MRI done....I was worried about my piercings, as they were 4 weeks old at the time.
I called Pierced Out, and carefully explained my situation to Alanna (I had to have an MRI done in two days, and the nurse said my earrings would have to come out...did she know of a place where I could go to get retainers for the procedure?) Â She sounded as concerned as I was when she asked:
"Where are you, what city are you in? Â Let me see if I can recommend someone, or a shop to you." Â
"I'm in Fairfield, near Vacaville" Â I said, feeling worried.
she let out a sigh of relief "Fairfield! Â That's awesome! Â I have a friend who works at a shop there. Â His name is Matte, and he works at Alpha-Omega Tattoos and Piercings. Â Call him, and tell him I sent you. Â Best of luck!"
I called A-O, but they were closed (as it was the weekend). Â I decided not to leave a message, as my situation was kind of complicated, and decided to go there when they opened at 12 noon on Monday. Â That would give me enough time to get the jewelry switched out, and for me to catch the bus to the hospital (I don't have a car)
Monday came around, and I arrived at the shop at 12 noon. Â I walked in and was greeted by Lynn. Â It was an uncomfortable exchange.
"Hi, is Matte here?" Â I asked
"No, he's not, he told me he might be late today, something came up. What can I help you with?" L asked
"Well, I have these 14g CBR's in my ears, and I need to have them taken out, and need to have retainers put in because I have an MRI in an hour and a half" (time was of the essence)
"WELL, Matte isn't here, and I can call and see if he'll be able to come in earlier, but I think you're just going to have to take the earrings out, and the holes might close. Â They can close in seconds. Â Just take them out, come back in, and we'll repierce them." she said. Â "I don't know how to do them, and neither does the other guy who's here. Â And there isn't a soul around here in other shops that I'd recommend" she sighed.
I almost walked out right then, but I stayed calm, and said that I had been referred to this place, and to Matte, and asked if she could please help me. Â I was getting desperate.
Lynn then made a few phone calls, and after about 45 minutes, Matte showed up. Â He explained his reasons for being late (I won't say them here, they were personal reasons) but he apologised greatly, and had me in the piercing room straightaway. Â
The switching out of the jewellry took about 10 minutes total, and then I was done.
It was 1:10. Â My MRI was in 20 minutes. Â
Fortunately, a woman who had been in the shoppe for the majority of the time that I had (she was a customer and friend of L's, it seemed) had heard my situation and offered to give me a ride to the hospital.
I paid for the jewellry, went to the hospital, had my procedure, and then came back so Matte could take the retainers out and put the piercings back in. Â
All in all, it was somewhat of a stressful, but memorable situation. Â Matte was wonderful, and was a joy to work with. Â The only reason why I'm not giving this place 5 stars was due to Lynn's attitude. Â I felt uncomfortable around her, and was a bit unhappy with the attitude I was given, but it was kind of an off day, anyway. Â
I highly recommend Alpha and Omega for the piercings (no tattoo experience), and Matte is an awesome piercer if you're looking for someone in Fairfield.
Just got a tattoo from Lynn this Saturday. I have no complaints. Â She was awesome. She even felt with my low threshold for pain. Loved every minute of it. The tattoo looks awesome and I can't wait until I can wear my backless shirts to show it off. I will definitely come back and recommend her to everyone I know
Review Source:I went to Matte to get microdermals put in my hips & he was super informative, clean & friendly. I actually wanted the microdermals closer to my hip bone but he told me that it would be a bad placement idea. Mostly because I wear super low jeans and my jeans would rub into the dermals and get in the way of my healing process. So after abput five minutes of placement options I got them done higher and almost on the sides of my stomach. Still, very cute! I love how helpful he was & how he was looking out for me instead of just putting them where ever I wanted  (cause It could have risked infection or worse...they could have ripped out!)
Anyway, he's amazing. Go to him!
Procedure pinched/kinda painful. My belly button piercing hurt more. Healing/cleaning process is SUPER easy. Â $140 for two dermals with gem stones.
Saint Patrick's Day, 2011. Since I'm only 20 and can't go out and enjoy a drink, I decided this would be as good as a time as any to get the tattoo I've always wanted. The Pogues were playing all day in celebration of Saint Patty's and I instantly struck it off with the owner, Lin.
If the name doesn't give it away, this shop is Christian based. Lin refuses to do any work that's Satanic in nature and is very open about her faith. People may be turned off by her demeanor, but she's thorough and did a great job on my tribal arm band. She did my boyfriend's Marine Corps tattoo on one arm and Saint Michael defeating Satan on the other and she did a good job with those too. My boyfriend wants to get his retouched and more added onto them, but for a plain black design, Lin did mine perfectly.
I paid $150 and it was worth every cent.
I've gotten numerous piercings over an eight year period and by far, Matte is the best piercer that I've come in contact with. He knows exactly what he's doing and his work station (equipment and work area) is sterile. He doesn't half-ass it when it comes down to going over the aftercare steps either.
I've gotten work done on two of my tattoos by Lin and was satisfied with the results of both of them. She can be a little preachy, but I'm used to it.
Would I recommend this place to my fellow yelpers? With piercings, of course! Matte is a professional! Tattoos, I guess. But if you're looking for an excellent tattoo artist, I would suggest that you go somewhere else.
I love this place. Â Lin has done 4 of my tattoos and Jerred has done 2. Â I live 45 minutes away, but take the time to drive here because it's so great. Â Some of you are complaining about Lin's attitude, but it's her shop and just because she says it like it is doesn't mean she's rude. Â It just means she doesn't want to waste your time or hers and tells you up front what she thinks. Â Get over it. Â I would rather have her tell me to be still than for her to mess up because I'm squirming around! Â She does GREAT work and they are very clean - which should be the most important thing. Â Jerred is awesome - as is everyone who works at this place. Â They will create an amazing tattoo for you and it will look great. Â You should definitely check them out if you are looking for unique art work.
Review Source:I also wish that you could give someone negative stars. Â
Got a tat from her several years ago.
Sooo rude.. so unprofessional.  The tattoo artist is very  christian preachy- which is kind of weird considering her next sentence may be something to the extent of "if you keep crying your gonna leave with half a tattoo".  I have had several tattoos done and hers is the ONLY one that hurt me bad enough that I had trouble breathing while she was doing it.  I went back because of a spot where the color no longer existed... she said she couldn't see it.  Funny.. because everyone EXCEPT her can.  (so i guess that means her work isn't guaranteed??)  I should have listened to the girl that had a fairy done by her that looked more like a gremlin. Â
She isn't respected at all by most of the other local tattoo artists because of her crappy attitude and big ego. Â
She told another friend of mine that she couldn't come back to her shop unless she started wearing clothes that fit her better. Â My tattoo she did is scarred up pretty good from her heavy hands. Â She told me she didn't want me back because I was a baby..... Â Bitch doesn't have to ask me twice. Â Ive gone to other artists waaaay better than her... since and they were waaaaay less painful. Â So if you enjoy severe pain and a crappy attitude from someone who is putting permanent ink on you.. then this is the place for you.... but don't say I didn't tell you.
Matte is dope. Pierced me twice. he is very professional and yet down to earth.
Hes "by the book" which is a good thing since hes a piercer, you don't want a piercer that half@$$' everything and gives you a half decent looking, painful or infected hole in your body.
Anyways from beginning to end he made me feel at home and comfortable. Went through procedure and after care with me, told me what to expect and  gave me a business card if I came up with any questions after I left. He also encouraged post piercing visits to check the healing process...which are free.
My piercings are fully healed now and i'm totally happy.
They also have parking right out front.
Ay, if I had an option of rating it 0 stars, I would have. I have never been treated so disrespectfully. Had it been a more upscale place, I would have asked to speak to the manager or written to their headquarters.
I just checked out the place, but if the worker can be that rude, I would not let her within a foot of me with anything sharp. Maybe it was just her personality to be a little rough, but I was raised in a proper, respectful environment, and it just came as such a surprise to me that she would talk like that to a stranger. I even had to pinch myself to confirm this was actually happening.
I can't say how artistic or precise their designs are, but just by their attitude and customer treatment, I will never ever go back to that place nor refer anyone there.
The shop is super clean. Â Just how I would like it when I'm about to get some sort of needle put in me. :) Â Got a beautiful color tattoo there as well as my navel pierced twice. They are quick, professional and very friendly. Â I did find it a tiny pricey, but overall, I will mos def go back. Â Parking is good.
