I'm pretty sure some of them are good but when I went in just for a small tattoo just to see how the ink would work in my skin, the artist I had totally messed up and didn't say anything about it... I had brought out a simple multiple color 8-bit tattoo design (ya know, like Zelda and Mario) and he totally outlined one set of blocks with the wrong color then filled it with the other and proceeded to let me tip him.
Review Source:Let me tell you.... I've had plenty of work done by plenty of different artist but I just recently got something done by Katie Laughlin.. Review Source:What made this place just right were the people. When my husband and I first walked in, we were greeted by Shane, who seems kind of young and may need to work on his professionalism, but all in all not a bad guy. The only complaint was that it took a long time for the other guys to come in, but in all fairness we did come in at 2pm. My husband wanted a phoenix, and brought in a couple pictures. Shane went right to the back and started drawing. Although homeboy seemed unsure of himself in the beginning, we were stunned by his art. He did an amazing job on his tattoo, very beautiful work.
My tattoo was done by Shawn (could be Sean or Shaun, I don't know the correct spelling). He came from the one in Palm Springs, and is only there on weekends. He was an awesome guy. I felt bad because I wanted roses, and I made him redraw his rough draft like 3 times. He was VERY patient and kind, which is important when you are getting a tattoo. He kept saying "No I understand, it's only permanent!" When it finally came time for my tattoo, he was a very cool dude. I would recommend him highly. He's been doing this since about '95, and he overall has a kickass personality. All the guys there were very cool, very chill and laid back, which is what you expect when you have someone digging a needle into your skin. Cam and Shawn have a lot of personality, you can tell, those would be the guys I would want to do 3 hour sessions with over everyone.
I would recommend this place to others, everything was very clean and they took the correct precautions. After 3 hours in the chair for my tattoo, the artist went on to explain how important it was for everything to be absolutely clean. Blood is nothing to mess with, and he said that he just assumes everyone has something that he does not want to catch.
All in all, it was a wonderful experience. In two weeks when my tat heels, I will be back for more!
