My experience at this shop has been my best yet. Shane was very professional and way down to earth. Very attentive to what I wanted and helpful in a variety of font choices. His concern of my workin man hands an the healing factor was spot on. Thank you Shane. It's been rough trying to get this to heal. I keep cutting it but your advise has been helpful. I've never had more compliments on any tattoo yet. Highly recommend this shop and artist/owner. More pricier than the other artists I've been too but if you were to see the difference in quality Shane is well deserving of his prices. After all I do have a tattoo from another shop that's supposed to be a waterfall and looks more like a tooth root. Awesome... NOT. I'm hoping I'll be in Lodi more for work so I can have some more work done from Shane or another one of his artists. From what I've read his other artists do amazing work as well. Also a huge + here was the cleanliness of his shop, chill atmosphere and the pool table in the waiting room is a nice touch. A Tat shop with integrity. That says a lot.

My first visit to Anchors Away Tattoo in Lodi, California, was quite pleasant. The tattooist who worked on me is named James Moral, and, from what I hear, he does tattoo parties, too.
I brought in a very simple drawing which I wanted as a tattoo. A lot of tattooists will try and talk the customer into something of their own (the tattooist's) design, which is not what the customer wants to hear. James at Anchors Away Tattoo in Lodi, California, knows that the customer is always right.
Another reason that I will visit this shop again is that the tattoo was done quickly and efficiently. Many tattooists make the customer wait in the front room while they (the tattooist) could be getting their station ready. Like they couldn't be bothered to work. In the past, I've sat on the sofa (at other tattoo parlors) for upwards of 90 minutes waiting for the tattooist to grace me with their presence.
At Anchor's Away Tattoo, in Lodi, California, the tattooist (James Moral), was extremely professional. His work and eye for color are beyond outstanding. Other shop employees I spoke to were also quite professional and well-spoken.
Probably the best thing about this tattoo parlor, is, that they have an ATM on the premises. Ultra-convenient!
Anchors Away Tattoo in Lodi, California, offers high-quality tattoos, and a very pleasant experience on the whole.

I went in here once to go over an idea and was really surprised at how uninterested the guy at the counter seemed to be.  Kinda felt like I was bothering him or that I was an inconvenience.  At the time, he was the only one (I could see) in the shop--there were no customers.  Perhaps that is why.  IDK, but I ended up going elsewhere in town and am pleased that I did.

    Mr. Artist was amazing.

The big dude in the front is who i left stick me with his needle hehehe.

James is basically a great artist. With his intimidating size and sharp tongue, you may be thrown off at first. However, after all the smoke clears he is the man you want tattooing your; first, third, sixth, tenth, or last time. WOW

    Love Ya James...
