Art Ambush

I got my first tattoo at Art Ambush last night. The artist, Kegan, is amazing and talented and took the time to design something I love and was then patient with me as I nearly writhed in pain for two hours - not his fault, I'm just a wimp. The other employees/artists there were also great - a sweet girl even held my hand for a while and the other tattoo artist let me watch Netflix (Trailer Park Boys - best show ever) on his iPad. They were kind and funny and I felt like we were all in it together. A fantastic experience, great customer service and a beautiful tattoo I love!

I've had two ear piercings here - both simple cartilage piercings. Though the people were friendly, I just find piercing an intrinsically awkward experience ... Fortunately service was fast enough and easy enough to get it done without much hassle. $20 a piercing, walk-in service. They don't have internally-threaded jewelry but I took care of my piercings (salt soak blah blah blah) and both healed just fine.

Another time I was with my friends when they got their first tattoos. They were both small tats, and even though the guy was very patient about getting placement and final designs correct, he finished both in about an hour. Nice work!

Overall non-scary place to get pierced/tattooed, fun decor, very clean studios, and cool magazines to read if you're waiting. RECOMMEND!
