AWESOME Tattoos.....God-Awful Jokes.
I had a wonderful experience at Bad Billie's Skin Gallery Tattoo Studio (despite Adam's painfully cheesy jokes). Adam is an amazingly skilled tattoo artist with precision line work and an intuitive eye for exactly what his clients want. He really helped me to visually articulate EXACTLY what I wanted my tattoo to look like.
I was also grateful to find an artist who understands how to tattoo dark skin.
I've received numerous compliments regarding the tattoos I got from Adam. Even my father who isn't a huge fan of tattoos couldn't help but be impressed.
The staff was gracious, professional and fun. And I loved the artwork that I saw there.
I would definitely refer more people to this shop. I just wish I lived in the area so that I could go back!!!!
I had an amazing experience at Bad Billie's. Adam has a light hand, is patient, and is a perfectionist; which is exactly what I needed in a tattoo artist. From the very start to finish, he was flexible and wanted to make sure it was exactly 100% what I wanted. I could not have asked for a more stunning looking tattoo or better experience.
Review Source:I decided to get a tattoo very spontaneously. My friends were doing it and after watching them I decided I wanted to jump in. Adam was very friendly and insisted on asking me if I was sure I wanted to do it multiple times. He made me feel very comfortable and the process was about as painless as a tattoo can be (I assume). I would recommend this place in a heartbeat. Adam was great!!
Review Source:I was looking for a place to get my cosmetic eyeliner tattoo, and I was extremely hesitant to go here, since they didn't have any pictures on their website, but someone told me about Billie, and how she has a steady hand, and she's been doing cosmetic tattoo for over 20 years.
I was originally going to get my eyeliner tattoo elsewhere, but I was sold on these facts:
She had a steady hand
Her tattoos last FOREVER- almost all the other cosmetic permanent tattoo locations say their tattoos last 2-7 years.
Price ($300, and that includes a touch up) Â Paying $300 for something that will last for life is better than paying $150 elsewhere, and having to pay another $100+ , to get it touched up a couple years later.
My experience:
When I called, Adam picked up the phone. Â He was extremely friendly, and knowledgeable, and he was able to squeeze me in today :)
When I got to the shop, Adam greeted me, and he was super friendly and helpful. As a last minute thing, I had planned to get additional tattoos, besides the eyeliner, but I was told they normally don't do this, since your endorphines run out, and it's usually more painful for the client. Adam pretty much helped to size the words I wanted tatted on me, and if I wanted the letters thicker, he made them thicker.
When Billie came into the shop, she helped me to center the tattoo. She's a perfectionist, so if you ask her to help you center it, she'll make sure it's dam centered! Â Getting the tattoo wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Â It was actually my least painful tattoo, but that might have been because of the location I had my tattoo. Billie does talk to you as you get your tattoo, so it makes the time pass, and gives you something to think about, besides the needle hitting your skin.
EYELINER EXPERIENCE:
The first thing Billie did, was to take pictures of my eyeliner, but if you want her to contour the eyeliner to match your face, she can do that for you as well. Â
After washing my face, she placed numbing cream on my eyes (which take~ 45 minutes to kick in), and she also placed a wet cloth soaked with her secret ingredient, Â so I had to lay there for a while. She's easy to talk to, so the time just flies. Â Once you get the tattoo, it does not hurt, but it feels awkward having the needle so close to your eyes. The hardest part about getting the eyeliner tattoo, is trying to sit still, and not move your eyelids/eyeball. Â After she finished my eyeliner tattoo, she puts on her wet compress over my eyes, and it soothing. It's almost relaxing when lay there with the compress over your eyes. She basically walked me through the steps for the aftercare.
During our conversation, I told her my mother had breast cancer, and Billie told me she can tattoo  on a nipple.  She showed me a picture of a nipple she drew on, and it looks really nice!! Looks as if there is a nipple there.
In summary, she's super friendly, extremely sanitary (this is coming from a student who is entering the health care profession), perfectionist, and she takes pride in her work! She has a couple different rooms, so don't be intimidated to get your eyeliner  or permanent make-up tattoo here! If you don't want to be tattooed in a "tattoo environment," she has another room that doesn't seem like a "tattoo studio."
She also gave me 3 wet compresses to place on my eye (for when I got home), and some stuff to put on my eyeliner tattoo and regular tattoo.
I'm glad someone told me about Billie's tattoo shop, because I am happy with my tattoos!
