I am more than happy with my service here. I got my room pieced awhile back (don't remember who did it) but I got a triple forward helix pierced by Brittany. She was super nice, I appreciated how she really took her time with the spacing between the 3 piercings, and walked me through everything. I am extremely pleased with my results and it didn't seem to hurt as badly as I thought. Plus one of the earrings was faulty and kept getting undone. (I came back like an additional 2 times after getting the piercing) She gave me a whole new earring free of charge. I would definitely come back here if I wanted another piercing.
Review Source:I went in to get a tattoo for the first time there on July 3rd, 2013. I have 16 other tats, so I am not new to this. I won a gift certificate from my Nephews Fundraiser, he passed away June 22, 2013. I had a Wolf/Raven tattoo done with my nephews name and years under it. Â My artist was Paul. I had taken in a sample of what I wanted, he drew a sketch and captured exactly what I wanted! Did the tat and it came out beautiful. Â The shop is clean, the staff are all very friendly and helpful, make you feel at home. Â This is one of the best shops I have been to and I will definitely go for my next one. Â It is time for me to go in for my touch up work and I need only a little bit on that. Â I am very happy with my tattoo artist and I get all kinds of compliments on my tat. I highly recommend this shop.
Review Source:I got my industrial and tragus piercings done here. My experience has its ups and downs. On the plus side, the girl who did my piercing, I don't remember her name but she had red streaks in her hair, was very awesome! She was really professional and made sure that she was really sanitary. She changed her gloves whenever she touch anything that wasn't related to piercing my ears. Also, she was really chill which made me feel relaxed. I also really value her artistic opinion. She told me how the piercings would look best with my ears and I full hearted appreciate that. The only down side was that she charges a bit more than I had hoped. Ultimately it was on me for not asking for the prices sooner. I paid $70 for my industrial and $60 for my tragus. The parlor that I usually get my piercings done at would have charged only $40 for the tragus but I didn't feel like driving the extra 1 hr to get there.
Review Source:I've been wanting to get my tongue pierced but I have had a hard time choosing a place to go to. My sisters and I stopped by Belmont Tattoos and we were greeted by Paul upon entering the door. One of my sisters got a leg tattoo, done by Paul, I got my tongue pierced, done by Tanya, and my other sister got her tragus pierced also done by Tanya. We were more than happy with the service here and really got what we paid for. They were honest, friendly, and professional. I would recommend anyone getting a tattoo or piercing to go here! So far I have been coming here for all of my tattoos and piercings, 3 tattoos & 2 other piercings.
WONDERFUL PLACE! THIS IS THE ONLY PLACE MY FIANCE, & MY SISTERS & I GO TO !
My girlfriend and I went to this place to have her ears pierced. We went here because we saw all the Yelp reviews about Brittany the piercer and thought to ourselves -- a simple ear piercing can't be that hard right? Wrong. My girlfriend's right ear was pierced at a steep angle, making the front of the starter earring set angle downward, and the earrings looked uneven. The left ear was also pierced at a slight angle. We were told that the only remedy for this mistake was for us to come back after the ear hole has healed. A few weeks later we returned and had the right ear re-pierced. We didn't bother re-piercing the left ear, since we were scared enough for the right ear that had to be re-pierced through scar tissue. To this day, my girlfriend has trouble putting on earrings on her left ear because she has to insert the earring at a certain angle to take into account the angle which her ear got pierced.
Even though the piercing went wrong, I have to say that the place was kept clean, and the staff were generally friendly. They're also open long hours all week.
Very clean, professional, and skilled. Â I got my cartilage pierced here with my friend (who was nervous). Â Brittney pierced us both quickly, with minimal pain and was really helpful answering questions about all sorts of piercings. Â It's been more than three weeks and I haven't had a single problem with my piercing - it's healing nicely :) Â I would definitely recommend this place.
Review Source:I loved getting my first tattoo from Cameron! Â I was really worried, but Cameron was very helpful and talked me through the entire process with patience. I felt at ease because the shop was exceptionally clean and Cameron made sure I was pleased with his custom creation before tattooing me. It was really important to me that he listened to my input. He also helped walk me through what would look great now as well as over a long period of time.
Cameron did a masterful job on my tattoo and really took the time to perfect it. I am very particular and Cameron made sure the tattoo was feminine and pretty, as I requested. He made it look like a wonderful drawing! The price was very reasonable for the custom quality of the tattoo. I'm definitely planning to get my second tattoo from Cameron because his style meshed well with what I like and what I would want on my body FOREVER.
This review is in reference to Brittany, the piercer. Â This girl is great!
I read the reviews and went in today and she is a pro. Â I went in because a piercing of mine had become infected due to poor quality jewelry and so had to take it out myself last night. Â I went in today, somewhat cautiously, but no need! Brittany was very gentle when handling my ear, knew right away what the problem was and sat with me for a minute afterward explaining what would work best to clean and soothe my irritated ear. Â She even gave me her personal number as well as the store's in case I had any problems.
after spending 10 minutes cleaning and putting in a new barbell the total cost was only $10!! most places charge at least twice this!
very impressed!
Ask for Brittany!
the phone help is not great so just check when Brittany is in if you want a piercing
Called in to check how much a tongue piercing was, the guy on the line didn't know and told me to call back in half an hour cause that's when the piercer was going to come in.
Called back half an hour later, same guy picks up and tells me the piercer isn't going to be in today but tomorrow.
What the f***.
Guess I'll hold my tongue for elsewhere.
I have nothing good to say about this shop.
First off i went here to get my first tattoo back in 2008, got it done by Tania, the tattoo came out awful!!! the lines were completely off the shading was awful. Once it healed i hard scared tissue with NO color at all. 3 years later i find out that this Tania person isn't even a tattoo artist, she is the piercer at the shop. Worst experience ever. If you are planning on coming here make sure you do your homework...
I was very nervous about getting my first tattoo, but  James was patient and understanding with me, he talked to me and let my girls be there for me, he even entertained us which help take my focus off the pain. Reasonable price for the size of my tattoo.. Very Happy and now I can check this off my bucket list... Right on :)
Review Source:Last night I took out an earring to replace it with a different earring, but the back of the hole closed up immediately. Also, my ear was swollen.
So today, I came in to get it looked at. Brittney was amazing, cleaning it out, thereby decreasing the swelling, putting a totally new sterile earring in that was longer (to accommodate the lobe if it swelled up again), and generally being a badass in fixing a messy situation.
I expected around $25 to $30 considering she had spent about 20-25 minutes cleaning the earring, cleaning my ear, decreasing the swelling, and generally fixing the mess I had made, PLUS giving me the new earring - but final price was $10!
Great service, great value. Easy five stars.
PAUL FOR PRESIDENT! From start to finish he did really gnarly. My tattoo design came out unexpected from him. The lines and shadings were so sexy! The other artist were friendly too. We were all having a good time chatting. Make jokes and everything. Over all it's asuper awesome shop! Must visit here again! Â And also cheap! This shop is highly recommended! Cheers!
Review Source:My sister was in town when we decided to get a new piercing. Â We went into the shop and was met by Tanya, who was great. Â She was super thorough, with the process and changed her gloves a couple of times to be super sterile, and took everything out in front of us. Â After we got our piercings she gave us the information along with her cell phone number should we have any questions. Â The best part of this shop for us was that we didn't feel judged when in the shop, and since we don't have lots of piercings or tattoos being comfortable in a place like this is really important. Â I'm sure we'll be back!
Review Source:I had stopped into Belmont Tattoo once in August just to check out the shop while we were in the area, so this was the first place that came to mind to get my piercing. I went here last night to get an industrial piercing. The whole place was immaculate. Brittany was fantastic. She's an all-around really cool, down to earth chick. She went through what the process was going to be like. She changed her gloves multiple times to ensure sterility. Brittany opened all of the piercing tools, and the jewelry right in front of me. I cannot express how thorough she was.
We talked for a bit about the placement because I had a cartilage piercing right below where the industrial was going to be, and because of the weird angle that the piercing was done at (it was done using a gun at a mall store over 9 years ago before I knew any better), it took a little time to make sure the placement of the industrial was going to be good, and so that I can still put some jewelry in my old cartilage piercing.
I did not feel rushed whatsoever. The piercing was done perfectly. Brittany took the time to explain detailed healing and aftercare instructions (and she gave me the instructions on paper), and wrote down her number if I had any questions or concerns.
I wasn't nervous at all, I already have 13 piercings and 7 tattoos, but if I was nervous, I think that her demeanor would have definitely erased any nervousness or jitters. Â To me, a piercing isn't just a new hole in my head, or a piece of jewelry. It's the whole process to mark a celebratory place/time in my life. Brittany made the whole process enjoyable, even while she was sticking a needle through my ear :-) she's definitely going to be my go-to piercer here in the Bay Area. After being pierced by her, I don't want to be pierced by anyone else. Â I couldn't imagine having a better experience than I have had here at Belmont Tattoo.
Paul,
You are the bomb!! I must say that from the start to the end of the whole process you were a professional . You are a true artist! My sister, being it her first tattoo, was so happy with the result, you completely gave her exactly what she had envisioned. You put your heart into what she wanted! Thank you so much, will be back again!!
I've been wanting to get  my helix piercing done for a long time and this past week I finally decided to do it!
I came in last night with my sister and signing in and showing I.D. and all that took like two minutes and then we followed Brittany (the piercer) downstairs to the piercing room. It was clean and simple and she sterilized everything right in front of me and was very diligent about keeping everything clean and sanitary.
I knew what type of piercing I wanted but was just a bit unsure of where exactly to place it. Brittany was extremely patient with me and she had no problem showing me multiple different possible placements for the piercing. So after finally deciding she cleaned up my ear and brought the needle over and "1,2,3 take a deep breath" and it was over. I won't lie it was a bit more painful than getting a shot at the doc's office but there was like 5 seconds of pain when the needle goes through, your ear gets hot, and it pinches a bit and then before you know it the needle is out and she's screwing the earring on.
All and all it was a pretty great experience and I would definitely go back if I decide to get anything else done.
Took my friend here to get her cartilage pierced too but this time there was a chick and she was really cool. Very professional and knew what she was doing for sure! She even gave my friend her cell number in case she had any questions since this was my friend's first cartilage piercing. She was very gentle and patient. Great person to see especially if this is your first piercing. $40 plus tip and worth every penny!! And no appointment needed.
Review Source:I've been talking about getting a nose piercing for years, but I totally freak out at stabbing pain like that (when I was 19 I got my eyebrows waxed and literally fainted and woke up in an ambulance!). Â These people were so cool - they let me lay down so I didn't faint, got me water, were soooo patient with me being a wimp, and explained everything really thoroughly. Â I love my piercing, and I'm convinced that I was just waiting for the perfect piercing experience, and found it with these folks. Â $50 for the nose piercing including the jewelry. Â Good deal.
Review Source:The people here are really cool. My friend and I got a piercing last minute. I got my traigus and she got her industrial done. The place was very clean, friendly, and made you feel comfortable. They thoroughly went over directions on how peircing care. A good local spot (compared to San Francisco) and good prices!
Review Source:I had a wonderful experience at Belmont Tattoo. Tanya was awesome she fixed up a previous tattoo I had on my foot and then added to it. It looks amazing now. The shop is clean. The staff are helpful. I will definitly be coming back. I would recommend everyone to come to them. Thank you again for a great experience.
