  Garrett designed a tattoo for me based on my own painting.  He did a great job and the representation was just what I wanted.  The shop is clean, he fit me in to work with my time frame, and he was very polite and down to earth, and he priced very fairly.  I will definitely return!

  We live in San Diego and my friend and I wanted to get our first tattoos.
  So we called Avalon II because they are top rated on Yelp San Diego.  
  We were able to get appointments 2 days later with their visiting Tattoo artist, Garrett.  What a great job he did with our tattoos.  Exactly what we wanted.  This being our first time, we were scared to death (we are Seniors) and this was on our bucket list (ha ha).  Garrett put us at ease immediately with his personality.  
  You guys up there in Hathaway Pines are lucky to have him.

  Last week a friend and I got tattoos by Garrett, the owner of Black Diamond.  I was looking for a new tattoo artist and my friend said Garrett was highly recommended.  
  
  The shop is small but very clean and Garrett took great effort to clean everything prior to starting the tattoo and once he was done.  He didn't have a pretentious attitude.  When customers came in, asking questions, he asked them to write down their name and number so he could call them back.  And then focused on me and my ink -- no distracting chitchat.  The price was really decent too.
  
  Overall, this was the best experience I've had getting a tattoo -- my fifth one.  Hathaway Pines (between Murphys and Arnold) isn't exactly close to Livermore (where I reside) but honestly, it's worth the drive to get someone who listens to what you want and doesn't brush off your questions, concerns and ideas.
