I have a bunch of tattoos, so it wasn't my first rodeo.. however, it was my first cover up. Â Lexy assured me that it would be coverable, and that what I wanted would absolutely cover it up. She is friends with people I have known for 10+ years of being in the 'music' scene, somehow I'd managed to never meet her, what a bummer cause she's the sweetest, most positive and honest person I've met in awhile. She tattoos a bunch of my very good friends, frequently... so I knew already I was in good hands. Plus, being tattooed by a girl.. rules.
anyway, tattoo stuff. I had a bit of a mistake of a tattoo that I needed covered, I wanted a traditional rose. She traced my arm and the tattoo to make sure she had everything she needed and went to town. I came back a week later after putting my 60 bucks deposit down (which, why are you complaining? You're taking up a space on their books that if you cancel, can't be filled right away.. losing money. AND it comes off of your total cost) came in, the tattoo that she had originally drew was amazing, however, it was too big and I didn't want it to come down as far as it did on my forearm. SO- she re-sized and re-drew, put it on... and 2 hours later I am sore, Â but have my positivity and have faith that I can love my right arm again! It's healing, and it hurts... but that's what we get for loving things that are painful. Lexy chatted the whole time, we talked about so much. bit of a therapy session for me, actually.
Love Lexy, love the shop because it's beautiful, and well, the iPod they have rules too.
140/hour makes it super easy, also. They'll quote you on how many hours it takes! remember kids, you get what you pay for! I've learned my lesson.
First, I want everyone to know that I love my tattoo. I think it's uh-mazing and my artist was great, I'll get into why I rated this as 4 stars instead of 5 in a minute, so hold onto your hot pants.
I made my appointment, and gave my nonrefundable $60 to them. (Please note: deposits are CASH ONLY!) I had to change my appointment cause of a family emergency, and because I had enough notice they changed my appointment no problem and used my entire deposit for when I was able to come in a month later and get tattooed.
I chose Lexi to do my tattoo for a couple of reasons: I've seen plenty of her work; she already did a tattoo similar to what I wanted; my boyfriend had been tattooed by her before; she's an awesome human being and is so into what she does that her vibe fills the room and you are instantly excited. She was professional yet funny. She showed me a general design ahead of time so I could okay it. She had to make a couple of modifications the day of the tattoo but did it super quick. She wasn't willing to start tattooing until she could see that I was completely happy with my design. (I had script put across both of my feet, so it had to line up and look correct, with a small bird at the end of the line, it rounds like a half circle near my toes.)
So now that you are all bursting at the seams, the reason I listed this as 4 of 5 stars is because EVERYONE and I mean everyone who worked at the shop ended up in my room at one point while I was getting tattooed. And one of them, I'm not sure of the artist's name was a total jerk. He was rude and made me feel like what I was doing was insignificant. After they all got lost, it was completely better. I will go back to Lexi who rocked it, but next time I'll tell her to shut the door and close the blinds. I prefer my privacy while someone is permanently altering my body.
my husband went into the tattoo shop and made the appointment and the lady at shop made him put a 60 dollar deposit on which she said was refundable. When he tried to cancel because of a family emergency the other guy answered the phone and said sorry but we dont refund that even though he called to cancel a whole week in advance, such bullshit...that wasnt even it though we for there to get his tattoo anf the receptionist was very rude. Â Falcon was the one who tattooed my husband and he wasnt very pleasant but ill give him the benefit of the doubt I guess maybe he was having a bad day or something. Â The touch up for his tattoo was only a35 minute ordeal but we were charged an extra 40 bucks on top of the 60 deposit...so very rude staff and way over priced for just a touch up lets just say that we will never be going back there again. Â They didnt thank us for coming or anything. Â Although the touch up did look decent.
