I probably looked like a fish out of water here, but Mel and the other girl (I forget her name) were more than friendly, reassuring, and accommodating...even when I clearly committed the cardinal sin of taking out my piercing less than a week after getting it done! Like other Yelpers mentioned, this place looks clean and smells sanitary, which to me is a very good sign. Thank you Yelp for leading me to a quality body piercing place! I don't intend on getting another piercing, but for those that are, this is the place to go in Oceanside!

I visit Oceanside yearly, and I have been in here twice- both times, all of the staff members have been helpful and super sweet.
Yesterday I went in to get a navel piercing, and to buy some captive rings for cartilage piercings. I have had my navel pierced before, and had some concerns about scar tissue. Mel was super helpful and figured out a way to not have to go through the scarring. Mel was also super calming (I have a decent number of piercings but get freaked out by needles) I had a very friendly and fun conversation, and breezed through the piercing! I also had some jewelry switched around with zero complaints (actually the opposite!) I got to take my time figuring out which pieces I wanted where, and now they look perfect!
Also, their jewelry selection is stellar. Beautiful, and appears to all be very high quality stuff. (I can vouch for everything I bought- beautiful and comfortable)
Definitely will be returning to Tracy's!
I loooove this place! The minute you walk in, it's inviting, not sterile and scary. Â I came in to get my nose pierced, as I've had it before and loved it and Angela took great care of me. Â It was (almost) painless. Â I requested they take a look at some unmentionable piercings and they let me know that I still had holes and that I'd just have to come back in to get them stretched to fit my bars and it'd only cost $5! I'm going back today to have that taken care of =0) Angela's great and informative and very knowledgable about the piercings that she does. Â I can't say enough good things about this place.

I originally went in to get my nose pierced but later found out there was really no way to have it hidden (corporate job--UGH) without putting in glass jewelry. I was a little irritated at first because I called ahead of time and told them my situation and was reassured that they could make it work and keep it discreet. When I got there, they explained I really needed a standard stud while it healed before I could switch to the glass one otherwise I ran the risk of it breaking in my nose. Glass shards in the nostrils? No thanks. Ultimately, they told me that yes, they could take my money and pierce me with the jewelry I wanted, but that it would likely fall out or break during the healing process. I really appreciated the honesty and sadly, passed on the piercing. Since I couldn't leave without them poking at least one new hole, I got a second piercing in my ears (boring, but whatever).
Since I still wasn't satisfied, I ended up going back to get my *undisclosed location* done. They didn't have the jewelry I wanted, but offered to order it for me, discount the price and call me when they received it. They followed up with me pretty quickly on a Sunday evening after I had been out drinking wine all afternoon (liquid courage -CHECK!) so I immediately went to the shop to get my fabulous new piercing! I forget her name, but the girl who helped me was fantastic and very professional. It hurt about as much as I expected, but it was much more pleasant than my nerves made it out to be.
A word on follow up: they were very accommodating and helpful when I was worried about some bleeding a couple weeks later. They were quick to invite me back in rather than trying to guess what was up by phone which I really appreciated. Turns out it was totally normal and it has since healed beautifully. Also, when the ball fell out of one of the barbells, I just popped in and they replaced it for five bucks. Overall wonderful experience and I WILL be seeing them again. Clean, professional, affordable--they rock!
I came to get my tragus pierced today and I must say it was a great experience. I went to a tattoo shop to get piercings in the past but the staff here at Tracy's was exceptional. They really know their stuff. The store was clean and very professional. Amazing selection of jewelry. Will definitely return.
Review Source:Went to Tracy's yesterday to get my septum pierced - super happy with the service! The place was immaculately clean, and both girls I spoke with were helpful, polite, and funny. The price was definitely reasonable, and much less than some of my other piercings.
Angela did my piercing for me and it was seriously the fastest and easiest procedure I've ever had. She thoroughly explained the after care to me and made sure I was able to flip my ring up inside my nose before I left. The jewelry looks a little silly on me right now because it's sized pretty big to account for swelling, but I know that once I change it into something smaller, it will look perfect.
The best thing about Tracy's was that there wasn't a super elitist bro atmosphere when you walked in. I've been to other shops and felt like a dumb little kid right off the bat, but I felt super comfortable here and will definitely return for all of my future piercing needs!
Knowledgeable and friendly staff! Â clean clean clean! Just as everyone stated! Â My experience was 5 star ++++ Â When I picked out my ring (nose) I had no clue what I really wanted--but after a day or so I REALLY knew that what I had was NOT what I wanted I went back and told him I needed to change it--if he couldn't change it then I was going to take it out.. Now this is no one's fault but my own.. I should have known what I wanted in the first place...so after finding the perfect ring and with no pain at all fixed me right up! I have been back a few times to get a few different colors... very very very very highly recommended... :)

She is in her 20s and has never pierced her ears and cannot wear any fashion earrings, so I thought its finally time she got it done! THe lady working there was SUPER friendly, she greeted us immediately, and was really helpful. My friend was super anxious and hates blood and any type of needles, but they made it such a relaxing environment that she settled in right away. It is really great customer service in here.
My friend had a lot of 'stupid' questions and they were all answered really professionally and she was validated.
Also I am a pretty clean person and I always notice details and this shop was very clean. It had a nice smell too :)
I am not really the type of person to get something pierced besides my ears, I grew up on a farm and I am kind of a little traditional with my piercings (just ears for me) but if you are looking for a palce to go, i HIGHLY recommend Tracy. I would give 6 stars if I could!
If you are getting ANYTHING pierced, you have to go to this place! I got my first piercing there when I was 15, & on my 21st birthday I am getting dermals done! I have gotten my tongue , belly button, nose, & nose tapered all at Body Piercing by Tracy. They are always the quickest at getting a piercing done, & they always do it right. Not one of my piercings has gotten infected. They are also really great with customer service as well! I had a hoop nose ring in that I closed with pliers & I could not get the ring out to save my life!! Two hours after trying to get the piercing out, I called Tracy's & they told me to come in. They ended up removing the piercing in less than 2 minutes, AND they didn't charge me anything!! Â The staff is always more than helpful, & the shop is always stalked with great pieces of jewelry. The only downer to this place is the pricing. It can be pretty pricey-BUT you get what you pay for, & I much rather spend a little more here & get the piercing done right with quality jewelry put in, than to risk infections or poor staff at other facilities!
P.S. They also usually have on-going deals to save you money. If you check-in on Facebook they give you $5.00 off, & on their Facebook page they usually do similar deals as well so keep a look out!
I had a really great experience here and definitely recommend them to anyone looking to get any type of piercing done! Everyone in the shop was really friendly and welcoming. Angela did my nipple piercings and was so great. She explained everything thoroughly, made me feel really comfortable, and did such a great job. While they are healing the barbells have to be a little bigger to allow swelling & such but she gave me a card to come back in a month for a free change out into smaller ones. You definitely get what you pay for! I am completely satisfied with my choice.

I walked in like a lost puppy with my son (I hadn't thought to get a sitter) and we were warmly and enthusiastically greeted by the most gorgeous women! They were open to my questions and gave responses from both the professional and personal standpoint.
Come piercing time, everything was adequately explained and re-explained. I knew what to expect before, during and after the work would be done. The work station was immaculate as were the display cases with jewelry. Everything was sterile and clean and organized, great signs for somewhere that'd be poking holes in your vulnerable body.
I only encountered one problem- they had run out of a certain size of jewelry I needed but I was given a quick little "gift card" for a resizing when they got their stock in, completely free of charge, while I wore a longer bar during the healing process.
GREAT STAFF, GREAT LOCATION and I'm definitely going back in soon! I don't write many reviews, but this one absolutely HAD to be done. Thanks ladies! :)
This review is long overdue, but I thought this place was so great and deserved it. I came in here to get my belly pierced for the first time. I believe it was a Saturday around 12:00pm and they weren't busy at all. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by a really nice girl and she helped me pick out exactly what I needed. I have super sensitive skin and she informed me that their jewelry was all hypoallergenic. I filled out my paperwork, she thoroughly explained aftercare to me and before I knew it I was getting the piercing. I was skeptical at first because the girl who was doing my piercing seemed really young (somewhere in her teens) ...but she was amazing. She assured me it wouldn't hurt more than my braces and it really didn't. She made me feel really comfortable and it was quick and painless. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone considering a piercing. They have great customer service, knowledge and CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN spaces. 5 star review.
Review Source:I have nothing but good things to say about Tracy's! I'm fairly frivolous with where I get my piercings...I'll go to tattoo parlors. However, I will only get dermals at piercing-only shops. For anyone with a/some dermal(s), you know they're tricky things! I have had all four of my dermals done here and have been very pleased! While Tracy's is expensive, it is well worth it. You get what you pay for, and when it comes to piercings (especially dermals) you want to be sure you're getting top of the line service! I did have one of my dermals reject, but that is the nature of the beast when it comes to those tricky things. I will be having it redone once it heals! The guys and gals there are fun, professional, and perfectionists. They do a great job of making you feel comfortable and relaxed, and they truly take the time to be sure your piercing's placement is perfect. They've also got a great selection of beautiful body jewelry! & don't forget to check out the Peep Show for a good giggle!

I asked some people I knew who had been pierced, they didn't go here themselves but said that the piercing I was looking for, my nose, was cheaper than where they went. I decided to check it out and as soon as I got in I knew I liked it. They greeted me right away, had nice jewelry selections, it's a bit pricey but probably worth it. The girls were super sweet and professional and I absolutely love my piercing. Also got the 5 dollar discount for checking in. I had been in the shop once before, and bought a set of plugs for the holes in my lobes, and was greeted with the friendliest most welcoming service I've ever received in a piercing studio. The jewelry is high-quality and there are a LOT of special pieces I wanted to take home :)
I knew I wanted something unique in the cartilage of my ear and Max was there to answer all of my questions. He is very knowledgeable, professional, informative, friendly, and all-around passionate about his art.
We looked at pictures and bounced ideas about what I wanted until I finally made a decision to get four in a row through the outer conch, following the curve of my ear. Everything was super CLEAN and the environment was relaxed and comfortable. Max was thorough in explaining my aftercare instructions and highlighted everything I needed to know on paper. Max did an AMAZING job with my piercings, utmost precision! I would recommend him to anyone!
The shop is very clean and you couldn't ask for a nicer, more helpful staff. I am thrilled to support this wonderful business and will be returning in the future!!

Needless to say I have been wanting to get body piercing for a very long time but it was also one of my biggest fear of all time. Well, we all need to face our fears somehow, and in any possible way... :D so I decided to get it done and end it  with a big bang!!! Hey you only live once and that one life to live mind as well add some fun.
I have to admit, Â I was a little scared even driving to the place, I have all these creepy thoughts in my head, but it didn't stop me from pulling into the parking lot, let myself into the door and waited for the person to come out and assist me.
Hmmmm....the wait, the anticipation...the nervousness...the anxious and the adrenalin rushes through my body -more to it, I just finished a long up hill run and a morning workout. HAHHH!!! I feel good! I can do this! As I looked at the clock tick-tock-tick-tock echoes the whole room. The room was full of intricate and intriguing specimen that I have never seen in my life. Some looks familiar but most aren't....Hmmm... never seen that before... lol
So by and by Mel came out of the room and confidently asked what I want. She was nice, friendly and very easy to talk to. Even though that I am sure that I was probably talking gibberish about piercings, she was patient to understand, listen and explain what I want. She was not afraid to give feedback or provide opinion.
Mel's confiant, and self assurance made me feel totally at ease  as she began the procedure.  I got my nose and lip piercings in Las Vegas but not like Mel's service. She was very knowledgable, attentive and did better job than my previous experience. I am very grateful that I found Mel. She was awesome!!! I can't believe that she was finish within less than 40 minutes for all three piercings.
Seriously Mel is rare to find, she is someone people should go to. Oh by the way, she is funny! I love her sense of humor and honestly.

I went to Tracy's to get my nose pierced. All of the employees are extremely professional and know there stuff. I asked 5 million questions and they knew the answers to everything, even the front desk girl. Sammy did my piercing and it was quick and as painless as a nose piercing can be. I would definitely recommend this shop and if I decide to get anymore piercings I will be back.

I got my belly button pierced by Tracy about 16 years ago. She did a great job. Man that makes me feel old. Just happened to see the business here on Yelp and thought I'd throw in my two cents. A review from an experience 16 years ago doesn't count for much, but consider it a review that hey, I got pierced by Tracy and my belly button is still happy.
I took out the piercing about 9 years ago, but the hole is still there. Oh memories of the 90's.
I came in here on a whim to get my ear peircings stretched out. Â I'd been thinking about doing it for a while but one day decided to go for it. Â When I walked in I felt a little over my head. Â I don't have a lot of peircings, not yet anyway, and I had my daughter with me. Â I had questions (one being how long it would take. Â I didn't want to make my daughter sit around forever). Â The guy that helped me out was so nice. Â I think his name was Max. Â He was super friendly, funny, patient and he was even nice about the fact that I brought my daughter (which in hindsight wasn't a fabulous idea...). Â One of my ears had to be re-pierced. Â We discussed options and so on. Â I left feeling like I'd gotten exactly what I'd wanted. Â I was happy with the work. Â I'm happy with the results. Â I'll be back in there soon to have my ears stretched again, once the piercing heals of course. Â Love this place. Â Any piercings I get in the future will be here.

Review Source:I accidentally swallowed the top bead on my tongue ring a few nights ago, so I decided to swing by a place right down the street from my work on my lunch break  (I noticed my piercing started closing and got worried). Horrible idea! The guy working was so preoccupied with his phone he literally sighed and rolled his eyes when I told him I needed a new bead. He didn't even ask or wait for me to tell him what I wanted. He had to go to the back twice! After work I raced to BPBT hoping to get there before they closed. I was greeted right away and the girl at the front counter not only listened to me but gave me a deal on the beads I bought. They even remembered me from when I went to get my piercing done almost a year ago! The whole experience was pretty short but so welcoming and pleasant it made up for the rest of the day. LOVE the staff there! I will NEVER go anywhere else again!
Review Source:My boyfriend got his tongue pierced here on a late night, half drunken whim. I've had a couple of piercings now and can honestly say we weren't expecting much. But the experience turned out to be really awesome and the guy who did the piercing was nice and understanding of my boyfriends last minute jitters. Very clean environment, relaxed atmosphere, and competent staff make this piercing shop levels above the rest. He still goes here to have his jewelry changed out, they do it complimentary, and I almost always end up buying something. Love this place, I'll never go anywhere else!
Review Source:Walk in and smell the clean. It's very subtle, but very distinct. I feel very comfortable having the people at Tracy's stick needles through my ear cartilage, and if I ever decide to have anything else done, this is probably where I'll go.
Everyone is so, so nice and everyone knows their stuff. Definitely going to go back for more, when I have the money and dedication to clean a fresh hole.
Also, once they pierce you, they don't try to push some "cleaning products" on you to make an extra buck. Liquid dial soap will do the trick. Score. I love that.

I used to go to a place called Mastodon in PB back in the day but they changed ownership and I don't think they do piercings anymore...
I heard about this place from a few co-workers so I decided to come here to buy some new jewelry and to replace one that I lost. Â As I walked in, I immediately felt a real good vibes here... Â safe and comfortable...
I was warmly welcomed and they asked what I was looking for... I told them and they had it in stock. Â They told me the cost and I was surprised thinking that is a lot cheaper than what I remember it used to be... I dunno, I could be wrong but I was surprised by the price. Â
Asked if I needed help putting it in and I said yes... since my piercing needed a taper to put it in... They said it will be a few minutes so they can prepare and sanitize everything. Â Once everything was ready, they brought me into their front room which has two chairs so not very private... but they do have another room in the back which I'm sure they use for piercings that may need a bit more discretion...
I sat down and they had everything laid out in front of me... I was able to watch everything they were doing so I felt very comfortable that they were doing anything shady... through the whole procedure, they talked to me making sure I was relaxed which was cool... I've been through this before so I knew what to expect but I liked the fact they did everything they can to make me comfortable. Â
I think I'm done with getting any new piercings but if I do decide that I need a new piercing, this place will definitely be my first choice...
They do a great job and the staff is always friendly. I've had multiple piercings done here and they all healed perfectly and properly. They are there if you have any question or little emergencies with some *em* delicate *em* piercings. They go over cleaning and healing procedures very clearly and follow them up with typed instructions should you forget later.
Review Source:I think I was about 12 -13 years old when I first discovered Body Piercing by Tracy. I wanted a piercing in my cartilage and my mom wanted a super sanitary place for this to be done at ... this was of course before we had Internet at my house and for sure, before Yelp! After finding this place in the Yellow Pages and talking to Tracy a few times about her sanitation methods my mom & I drove up from RB to Oceanside.
So its now been about 13 years that I have religiously gone to Tracy's for and I have had Tracy, Melissa (RIP) and Sam pierce almost every part of my ear, as well as my navel, tongue and nose. Since I have had my ears restyled a couple of times we are talking about 30+ different piercings that the staff have performed on just me... and a bunch more done on my friends which I introduced to the shop.
I honestly have such fond memories of Tracy's (including, the first time I heard Talking Heads), the staff and wonderful experiences. Additionally, they have a large and unique selection of jewelry! Â But just recently, I had another 5 star experience here! For about 8 years I had the same nose ring that Tracy had fashioned originally and after losing it (during one time I had the flu), I replaced it. Since then I have replaced it three more times, (one of which I did in Temecula since I just needed one quick). When I lost my nose ring this past week, I used the back up one I had made in Temecula.. it was sooo poor fitting, but it had to do till I made it down to Oceanside. Sam kindly refashioned this nose ring (which will be my backup again) and then made a new one. I got the itching for another piercing while sitting in the chair, but I got out quick since I now have a "professional" job.
Basically, the staff here is awesome and they do a phenomenal job. With all the piercings I've had, none have ever gotten infected or been rejected by my body. If you are a mom (or dad) looking for a clean place to get your kid pierced at, or just someone looking for a place for yourself, I would highly recommend Body Piercing by Tracy!!!

Super sweet dudes. Â Sam did my helix orbital & my brother's basic cartilage. Â Not only is the room reminiscent of a doctor's office (but check out the "ironic" photographs that are not so reminiscent of a doctor's office, on the wall), but Sam was friendly, professional, and quick. Â He was really thorough in post-care advice, and even told me what there was to do in Oceanside.
Max, his assistant, disposed of Sam's latex gloves immediately after Sam threw them away and cleaned up the station as we were checking out.
They also have the best jewelry I've ever seen.

I've gotten several piercings and a re-piercing here. I have also "witnessed" piercings I choose NOT to do.
One of my friends used to work here and hooked me up as I always wanted my 2nd set of ear piercings and cartilage pierced.
For the ear piercings, the staple method was used and it was sterile, quick and easy. On the other hand, the cartilage hurt like a mo-fo only because my ear was so sensitive. I thought about getting another, but after that experience - forget about it.
I came here for a re-piercing of my navel. I also choose a couple of cute jewelry pieces here for my navel area. Unfortunately, my body rejected the piercings - TWICE, so I chose not to do it again.
The shop was clean, sterile and professional. The employees who worked there were cool and super friendly. I know several people who have gone here for their piercings.

Review Source:I got my belly button pierced here a week ago. It is a little pricey but worth it. For the jewelry with the crystal, it was 65$. The staff was friendly, and very helpful. Everything seemed super clean, like a doctors office. I am not sure who my piercer was but he did a great job. He was very precise with making sure he would pierce the jewelry in directly the perfect spot. Also he was good at keeping me calm (i am afraid of needles). He kept telling me to take a deep breath in, then let it out. It really helped to keep me calm. He was quick too. The whole process only took about 5 minutes. I will definitely be going back here for my next piercing!
Review Source:Cleanliest place around, the staff is all very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The piercing procedures are very quick and painless, I think between around $50 and $100 bucks depending on what your getting done, for example a septum or lip ring is $80. Also they have very good quality body jewelry and plugs. It's totally worth the extra money i spent on my monroe, because it's not falling out all the time which is sooo much better than those cheap $6 ones from Inner World!!
Review Source:I am a mother of a teen that wanted her nose pierced. I was a bit skeptical because I needed to find a place that wasn't dirty or suspect. This establishment was the cleanest I have ever seen. Great, Excellent Customer Service. The young lady that helped me was extremely patient and explained everything very thoroughly. The person the did the piercing was equally as nice and patient. I don't do piercing but I have been looking for a tattoo shop and if Tracy's tattoo shop look and feel anything like this one, it will be my choice and recommendation to anyone I meet. Review Source:I had the fortune of being pierced by Tracy herself over a year ago. She was very knowledgeable and calming. She made my first piercing experience quick and with the least amount of pain and anxiety possible. Her establishment is no frills, but clean. She staffs the place with cool and kind people. I wouldn't hesitate going back for my next. However, one nip is good for now. lol
Review Source:I was really excited about getting my nose pierced and after extensive research decided to go to Tracy's. A co-worker printed out all the yelp reviews which are excellent. I have to say I did not get pierced by the owner but some other guy. Things at the shop were as I expected them, clean and professional. The guy that pierced me was extremely nice and that helped to not feel nervous. I was closing my eyes so I did not really knew what happened with certainty but he messed up and it hurt so much. He had to take the ring out and back in again. He apologized and really seemed to care if I was ok, so kudos to that. Â If I had known I would have tipped less but since I was charged before the procedure and asked to add up the total (AKA tip), I tipped before the whole thing happened.
Nevertheless, I love my piercing and even though my experience was a little painful I would recommend them in the future.
I was on spring break in Oceanside with some friends & we decided to get piercings. I got my tragus pierced & my friend got her nose pierced. I can't remember the name of my piercer, but she was VERY nice & comforting (which was needed because I'm kind of a wuss). It's very clean & professional, but still very inviting.
The jewelery cases were empty, but that's because they're under construction or renovating or something. Just ask if you want to see anything in particular.
If I didn't live so far away I would definitely go back !!
Amazing place.
Super super super clean. I always feel like I'm walking into a doctor's office. They're so patient with you. I was incredibly terrified of having a needle go through my face but honestly it didn't even hurt. Some kind of distraction voodoo magic they have when they pierce you.

I got my nose pierced here by the owner, my ears pierced by someone else. Â I really like this place, very clean (the most important thing!!!) and very professional. Â They're very good about explaining their sanitation procedure and equipment if you ask (this is very important to me). Â The piercers know what they are doing and they're very good at explaining the procedure and aftercare- and also, calming down freaked clients (like me, I hate needles). Â They're also very good about answering questions over the phone- overall, a very professional and courteous staff. Â I would not hesitate to go back here for a piercing, or recommend this place to friends.

Â and most of all this place is clean and professional. Â the staff is friendly and experienced and they all have a great sense of humor which is really nice. their jewelry is high quality, and even though you might pay a bit more, it is definitely worth it. Â i recommend this place to everyone i know.
Review Source:I have both of my tragus' pierced (and my navel but that was done 10 yrs ago somewhere else)...one I had done in Colorado and one I had done at Tracy's. Â If I could have I would have gone back to Colorado to have the second one done...but I couldn't. Â So I went to Tracy's and saw Sam. Â HE IS AWESOME!! Â If I had the guts to pierce anything else he would be the one to do it. Â I trust him totally. Â He is super nice, and makes you feel very comfortable. Â If you have the need to be pierced...GO TO TRACY'S AND ASK FOR SAM!! You won't be disappointed!!
