They're sterile and clean, and they used to be my go-to place to get things done. But the only problem I have is the way they deal with unknowledgeable customers, and the way one of the pierces is so nonchalant about trash talking people. I've had awesome experiences with the tattoo artists though. Just be cautious with your words as to not get dirty looks from workers.
Review Source:I have seven piercings, five of them were done at BPU in Anchorage (another was done at BPU in Fairbanks). Never once did I feel uncomfortable or as if my surroundings were unsanitary. There's hand washing, glove wearing, and each needle and jewelry is unsealed seconds before penetrating your skin. Someone else commented on the jewelry being pricey. Yes, it is. I remember hearing another customer comment on that and they said that they don't sell the cheap stuff you find at the mall. They sell good stuff that will allow your piercing to heal properly. If you want cheap jewelry, there's other places to go...but not too soon! Make sure your piercing is healed properly, first!
Review Source:Everyone was very nice, I didn't get a piercing or a tattoo. I went in to get my tragus piercings taken out because they were looking severely irritated. The guy talked to me about how to clean it, what to do, etc. all for free. Given I didn't take much of their time, but I've been in several tattoo/piercing places and this is definitely in my top 3. Their jewelry is really expensive- like 20 bucks for 1 gauge. This is the reason behind four stars and not five.

I did get a tattoo from them and i think that it turned out very nice. They gave me the template of the blossom just in case i wanted to get another (which i do) so they will all match.
The place is clean people are nice and the price was right! ;)
As far as the piercings... i have a few and the jewlery was very nice and reasionably priced.
i am giving them three dollar signs because it all depends on what you get...
