This place doesn't deserve 1 star. Â This was the absolute WORST service ever. Waited for an eternity and was talked down to by the girl that worked the desk. She actually called us a$$holes for no reason at all. Â Real professional. Â Please avoid this place. Â Not good business if you want someone like that on your front line.
Review Source:Worst Tattoo Shop in San Diego County.
On one hand, we can say, "This is a tattoo parlor. What do you expect."
Well, it isn't the 50's  and I'm not a sailor in Phuket looking for a souvenir. So I will tell you what I expect: thought, precision, care, and attention, to not only the tattoo itself, but the experience as a whole.  Tattoos are a million dollar industry. Tattoo removal is a MULTI million dollar industry. Do the math, sucka.
So, unless the standards are high, you might as well save rent on studio space and do it out of your garage. I mean, if you're gonna have your dipshit flunkies tramping about your salon, at the VERY least don't allow them to play whatever video game on hi-def and in surround sound like, IN the booth with me while you're scraping a needle across my body.
Ridiculous.
It wasn't professional, it was overpriced, and it was beyond wack. Level up your tattoo parlor and perhaps your reputation might change. For now, the only ones who frequent this nonsensical joint are transients, jarheads, and transplants from Michigan.
Why did I go in? Spur of the moment, waiting for my food next door. Otherwise, I would have gone elsewhere.
And to answer the ultimate artists question, was I satisfied with my tattoo (because that's "all that matters" the answer is NO. I am not. I plan on getting it touched up at a real tattoo shop.
Later world, smell my ass.
Body Temple is your typical tattoo shop....somewhat clean, not necessarily professional, laid back, and hit-and-miss staff. A friend of mine had some great artwork done here. I, on the otherhand, did not get the same artist as he did...he was out on the day I went in. I don't even remember the guy's name who tattooed me. I am happy with the artwork I recieved, and he was very quick. But I had a fairly small, simple tattoo done in an easy location and it only took about half an hour to complete....it was also only in black ink and he used one needle in all (no shading, color, etc)...VERY simple...and VERY overpriced. While I am happy with my tattoo, I cannot say I'll return here for more work. However, I can say that they had a great selection of body jewelry, and they do SmileGems. So I will return for that. Sorry guys!
Review Source:My husband and I called Body Temple Tattoo Studio to ask about having a wedding band tattooed on his finger. The guy who answered the phone was super friendly, and we were able to come in the same day. My husband was scheduled to deploy a week after we came in to get the tattoo done, and the artist told him that he would do a free touch up for him when he comes home if he needed it. Very military friendly, and VERY nice staff in general!
Review Source:So I decided to get a tramp stamp and it was painfull - ouch!  For reasons I can't explain the pain became bearable, almost pleasant after 30 minutes but thats another story.  I now get more attention due to my branding and I can't complain. The venue was dark and cold, and it seemed to take forever but  consider me happy and content, the work is first rate! Thanks B/Temple.
Review Source:Professional, non-snobby tattoo artists work here! Â Clean and presentable shop. Â I got a tattoo of the 4th of July. Â Walked in and in no time I was greeted and discussion of my patriotic tattoo lead to an hour long tattoo session. Â I would have given 5 stars but Charlie C. from Sacred Temple Tattoo in Downtown San Diego didn't tell me his name until he handled me his card at the end of the tat session. Â The entire time I thought his name was Hector and even said Hector a few times because he was working in Hector's area...Charlie's work is flawless!
Review Source:I'm really disappointed in Body Temple, but more specifically Lee. My friend and I went in to talk to him about her needing a cover up, then we decided to get flowers on our toes. He drew it up, it looked okay, I was still as a rock during the whole process and I got a tattoo that looked like it was drawn by a 3rd grader, with almost no shading and he blew through the dermis on the bottom star which means my 2 month old tattoo looks like a smeared 40 year old piece of crap.
I'm so sad about this, truly. Yes, he said he could touch it up for free after it's healed but I would have preferred it done right the first time and not half-heartedly. Furthermore, he is flakey with his scheduling and his apprentice basically told my friend and I when we went back in person to reschedule that even if we make an appointment it's not guaranteed. That's just poor business. I had a salon for years and if I ran my place like that I would have no customers.
They also said it was caused by the placement of the tattoo. He is the professional, if he thought there was a chance of it blowing through the dermis he should have said something to me before he started it. I gave him creative freedom, he could have changed placement.
Thanks to him being off his game I have to live with my messed up toe until I get it covered or fixed. I think I'll stick with Sarah at American Tattoo in Bonsall from now on. I won't be going back to Body Temple or Lee ever again.
I went to body temple in March and got a tattoo. I got and iron cross with checkers inside it and my husbands int. I brought in the drawing with detail and the exact size. so all the artist had to do was outline it and tattoo it. It turned out great and was 100$. I was happy, soooooo i went back there one week ago (my birhtday may 31) to get a celtic trinity symbol, well, i brought in the symbol but not the exact size that i wanted it and now the price is 200$ . Its just shaded inside the symbol! Way too expensive!! i told them that i had gotten my iron cross done there and it was only 100$ so he said maybe i could hagle price with the artist, then on top of that no one wanted to do the tat cause it was simple and not all 500$ WTF. so i left and went to ABOUT FACE TATTOO, Ya the name (unless your a marine) alone wanted me to go elcewhere, but i'm sooooo glad i didnt. Nate did a great job and I'm definatly going back next month to get some more of my sleve done.for $150 I got 2 tattoos touched up and the celtic trinity heart knot symbol and they look awsome!!
Review Source:Got my dimples pierced here (micro dermals) and they healed up great, didnt get swollen or nothing, i love this place, Jorge did a great job on my piercings he really explaind everything, and his personality makes  it even better, overall everyone here is great, fantastic customer service, the place is clean. ill be coming back here definately.
P.s have gotten a tattoo here, never got faded. Plus tounge, lip and most recently my dimples pierced (by Jorge) And they all have come out great, no complains at all. Recommend it 100%.
I would give Body Temple 5 stars because the shop is clean, the prices are ok and Lee is a FANtastic artist. Â He knows his stuff, works quickly and is a good conversationalist (once you get him going). Â Lee gets 5 stars for the actual work.
But they get four stars because I wish they had a better system for making appointments. Â If I tried to make an appointment with anyone over the phone besides Lee, they asked if I had pre-paid or if I could come in person so I could put money down so that they would know I'm coming back. Â Understandable. Â But when I talked to Lee on the phone, he would make an appointment without asking for cash. Â Consistency would probably be better here.
So then I get an appointment, but the chances of that appointment actually happening at said time are half and half. Â My tattoo was complete in 5 sessions, each of which we had an agreed time for. Â Only two of those sessions was I actually on the table at the appointment time. Â I'm a girl who likes structure to her day, so this was frustrating to me.
I will probably go back, because Lee is amazing. Â You can't rush an artist, right?
i just got some art done here by lee. Â they were friendly and professional.. the place is clean and they were fast to help me out. Â they didnt act too cool to help us or snoby like some tat places. Â I brought some art in and lee tweeked it for me the way that I wanted. Â he had no problems with me changing things in the art the way that I wanted. Â it didnt take as long as I thought and he seemed to move faster than the other guys that tatted me up before. Â it was a little expensive and it actually came out to be 50 bucks more than he had quoted but he did a good job and I didnt mind. Â I will come back next month to get more work done
