I've had two piercing experiences with Born This Way now, one helix and both nipples. Like the other reviewer said, the shop is very clean and nice. The design is sleek and tasteful, with a large enclosed glass counter up front and several large enclosed glass stands around the shop showing a really classy, interesting jewelry selection.

Both piercers I had were very knowledgeable and professional. It's obvious the shop values making the customer very aware of their standards of cleanliness and respect for piercing ethics. Unlike some shops, I'd trust them to tell me if a piercing was going to be a horrible fit for me anatomically or practically.

While I can't speak for the tattoo part of this shop, be prepared for your piercing to be pricey. I can't claim to be an expert on pricing, but this isn't going down to Claire's. if memory serves from piercing experiences at other locations, it's higher than average, and that is allllll jewelry's issue. Your jewelry will be high-quality metal, gorgeous, and maybe more than you expect. The piercing itself will be whatever as far as price, but that jewelry is nice. I don't regret splurging for it, but it's just something to bear in mind and think about.

Born This Way is the nicest, cleanest tattoo shop I've EVER been in. It's more like walking into a spa vs. a tattoo shop. It's hands down the best that Knoxville and the surrounding area has to offer. Hell..I've even been to several large cities and haven't seen a shop like this.

I got a tattoo by artist Jon Goad and can't be happier with it. All of his work is high quality and is worthy of being on any "ink" TV show.
