Totally unprofessional approach to dealing with customers attempting to make an appointment. I emailed an artist (which is what they said to do on the website) on Tuesday and waited until Thursday for a response. None whatsoever. So I called them instead, thinking I would get a response. The first time I called they were busy on the other line and the message said to call back later. The second time I called they picked up the phone, but no one said anything and they hung up on me. The third time I got the machine again, and the fourth time I actually spoke to someone. He took down my information and told me the artist would contact me later that night. It is now the next day and I am still waiting for a response. At this point I have no interest in working with him because of his lack of respect for me as a customer. I will certainly be taking my business elsewhere.
Review Source:I have been getting tattoos here for many years and have never had what you would call a bad experience. For my latest one i had a cover-up from a different tattoo shop that didn't come out quite like i thought it would. The artist that did the work was Eric Booth. If Eric is available i always get him to do my tattoos although every artist there is more than qualified. Check out there website for artist info and pics. http://crucialtattoostud…
The shop is very clean with that "hospital" smell in the tattoo area and the artists are very professional. Piercings are available. Make time for Salisbury traffic because it can be really bad at times. I hate driving in downtown Salisbury and take the by-pass whenever i possibly can. The artists at this shop are very friendly and love a challenge when it comes to custom artwork. You can pick from the traditional images on the wall or bring your own artwork in for a unique experience. After this tattoo heals i will be back again for another one. The layout of the shop was described in the abouve review and hasn't changed all that much since then. Other than they sell clothing in the shop as well now like Affliction brand items. But the tattoo are is still in the back and the counter up front has numerous piercing jewlery for sale.
Nice little shop in the middle of nowhere. Â I lived in Salisbury for a couple of years, and honestly it is the armpit of Maryland. Â At best it is a stopover for those running late for Ocean City. Â I guess it is a college town as well.
Surprisingly, there is a small faction of social outcasts that turned up in Salisbury and man what a group of cool people they are. Â They do things like piercing and tattooing and partying...They are exactly what the Bible thumpers on DelMarVa need, people to bring this this left behind part of the US in to the modern age.
Crucial Tattoo had just finished remodeling when I had moved there, so I couldn't tell you what the old one was like. Â The shop takes up two units of the building they are in. Â The front of the house has the standard sampling of the artists tattoo's, magazines for inspiration, really comfortable couches just in case you have to wait for your artist to get to you, fashionable clothing for people who like tattoo's, and body jewelry. Â One of the cases has some old masks that came from the orient, which are awesome...it is too bad they aren't for sale.
That back of the house is where all the magic happens. Â There is a room for piercing, and a few chairs for tattooing. Â Everything is clean. Â All the artists use disinfecting cleaner, gloves, and autoclaves. Â Usually the artist and the customer are the only people allowed in the back. Â
Once in awhile the owners like to have special days for frequent and favorite customers. Â Usually a small selection of appetizers and finger food and a good amount of socializing...plus good deals on tattoo's by talented artists. Â I highly recommend Casey O and Erik from personal experience.
