First, a disclaimer: I had never gotten a tat before but had thought about it for a very long time.  I recently turned 45 and decided to get inked as a way to mark the milestone.

Dragonfly is right down the street from my house so I went in just to get a price...and came out with my first tat less than an hour later! That's how sure I felt with letting them ink me. The place is run by a husband and wife who are nice but no nonsense kind of folks. I felt very comfortable and trustful of the artist and his wife. They let me take my time in picking a design and were very courteous in answering my questions.

The wife (sorry I don't know names) actually suggested the butterfly I wound up getting (see pic) based on my price range.  And yes, they were very reasonable. My tat cost $40.  Also, some guy came in with a pretty elaborate design and the artist quoted him around $300. He tried to get a cheaper deal by suggesting the artist modify the design. I like that the artist was a bit indignant and declined. Says to me he takes pride in his work and won't compromise it just to turn a buck.

So, while I'm no expert on tattoos(at least not yet!), I am pretty discerning about customer service and a quality product.  I'm very impressed with my new tat and plan to go back to Dragonfly for my next one(s).
