Marcia = Mullet
How so? I look fairly put together and shall we even say professional on the outside but underneath it all...ink that most will never see.
It all started a few years ago when I opened my clothing store and decided to get the phrase, "Vive Bene" (Live Well) on my wrist as an ode to my Italian heritage and a nod to my own little Eat, Pray, Love life lessons.
That little tattoo was a big step out of the box for me back then. Earth shattering huh?
Leap a few years forward and I have musical notes that lead down from my neck to the right side of my back to a little red drum that I had done in Vegas 2 years ago. Yes. I was sober. Well. Maybe not sober...
My favorite piece is the tattoo that co-proprietor of East Side Iron Tattoo Jerry Frost did of a fashionable Gil Elvgren pinup girl walking her chihuahua. (he drew the dog to have likeness of my beloved Chico) Warm and fuzzy at it's best! This painful ode to my furry friend takes up the right side of my torso and is strikingly beautiful.
I couldn't imagine it being anymore perfect. Coming from someone who has a Type A personality and who ranks high on the OCD meter...it's quite a feat to make me happy.
Jerry and his partner Chris Boyle have opened up a cozy and refined shop in the heart of East Nashville that offers a unique experience. From the vintage frames showcasing the tattoo art to the personalized consultations, anyone who is ready to make the life-long commitment will feel at ease with their choice.
I thought that my pinup girl was going to be the end of my affair with tattoos but I am already itching to get some more work done here.
I suggest East Side Iron to all of my friends because I know that they will take care of them and give them quality work.
It doesn't get much better than that.
