I got two dermals done here with nemo and he's awesome! He's super nice and professional, I also came in after I got a piercing from another shop and it was really swollen and messed up. Nemo gave me advice on it and said if I need it redone he'd do it with a discount, I will forever go here for piercings!
Review Source:I always come in here to check out the belly button rings and I've had more than one piercing there. Came in for their September Friday the thirteenth special for a tattoo. Worst mistake of my life. The artists are swamped and over worked, they had chicks that they just asked to help run the damn place and so my friend was there since they opened at 11, I got there at 1245 after a full work day on base. They need a line out the damn doors, and a system because there's people in an out of here that came in after us and I haven't move "spots" on the list at all. I know it's crazy in here and for some reason all the college chicks have to have an entire herd of friends but because of this I never ever want to come back in here or even recommend it. Get your shit together and don't let people that don't work there start running your place. It clearly isn't working and you've got one pissed off sailor  at the very least.
After a little over 4.5 hours total, Jason got to me and did my tat. I absolutely love it and he did AMAZING work. Thanks for making my first tat awesome. Don't ever get rid of that guy. Those artists were seriously slammed and working their asses off, not even getting to get food. Just wish the system had been ran better. Next time add a bouncer!
I came here to get my nose pierced. I'm not a big fan of needles, but knew I wanted to get it done. I did freak out, but the piercer, Nemo, was very patient and joked with me to help me calm down. Very nice guy! The piercing was painless and very quick. The shop was clean. I will definitely be returning for my next piercing!

I'm new to San Diego and had a hard time picking a place to get pierced. Ended up choosing EC Tattoo 2 because of their Yelp reviews. I bought the $100 gift certificate for $60 and had no problems redeeming it. It got me 2 microdermals on my chest from Nemo. He was friendly, calming, and super funny. I only got them done last night and today they look great. Minimal swelling and tenderness and I'm in love with my new bling. Thanks Nemo and EC Tattoo 2! :)

Anyways, I am so happy to have found this place. I had my tattoo done by Smallz this past weekend and couldn't be happier with the end result.
I have been holding out on getting my large piece because I wanted to make sure I found a place that I felt comfortable with. After several concentrated months of research, I stumbled upon EC Tattoo 2. After browsing their artists' portfolios, I instantly knew I wanted to get my work done here. I was also able to take advantage of their yelp deal of $60 for a $100 certificate (which is probably one of the best deals ever). I went in on Friday to get a quote/consultation and Smallz was able to fit me in last minute for the next afternoon.
Everyone there was so cool and accommodating which made me feel comfortable and relaxed. Smallz is really helpful with translating what you have in mind into a stunning tattoo. The prices are fair, the art is beautiful, the environment is sanitary--all the essentials needed to make an awesome tattoo/piercing joint.
Definitely going to be back for more work in the future as I'm pretty much sold on this place. Thanks again, Smallz!
I got my belly button piercing in the one in el cajon by one of the piercers christian he was so nice and never did anything unexpectedly...they opened the one in the college area which is closer to me and I got 2 other piercings I'm a big baby and I have a major phobia for needles but the piercer let me lay down and made me feel comfortable...and I didn't faint yay! they keep everything super clean and the guys are extremely cool and nice...I won't be going anywhere else now my next piercings which will be dermals I will be getting them done here!

I've gotten my tragus, conch, and belly button pierced twice here. Â Both the tragus and belly button piercings are $30 each, and the conch cost $40, instead of $45, since I didn't have enough money :) Â
Nemo, the piercer, does a FABULOUS job of piercing exactly where you ask, and catering to your desires. Â I've watched him take care in using sterile techniques, and dispose of everything properly (which a lot of other piercing places fail to do). Â
I had to give this a [-1 star] for the following reason: Â Â
Nemo wasn't there once, so a substitute piercer was there. Â I came in to get my belly button pierced, and the substitute was in a rush -- to go on his break. Â He quickly pierced my belly button WRONG. Â I pointed to him several times where I wanted it pierced, and I'd assume a knowledgeable piercer would know how to pierce a belly button.. My best friend was staring at it with wide eyes and mouth agate as she knew that he had pierced it wrong and I'd be upset.. Â my belly button piercing didn't even go through my navel. Â He had just pierced the surface of my stomach (WTF?) and on top of that, he told me to COME BACK 30 minutes later after his break so that he could repierce it. Â I'd expect him to give me some sort of discount for being so careless and making me WAIT to come back and get the same area repiereced for a second time.. but I haven't seen him substitute here, since. Â
Overall, I'd definitely recommend this place! Â All my piercings here except my belly button have healed extraordinarily fast and well relative to other piercing shops I've been to where I've had to pay MORE. Â If you're in the SD area, you should definitely come here to get pierced. Â Oh, and on a side note -- if you're allergic or sensitive to things, definitely upgrade your jewelry. Â My belly button was rejected because the jewelry (stainless steel) irritated my skin too much. Â But you can always count on reliable and professional piercings here :)
Ok, caveat - I like piercings, and, as a general rule, my pain threshold makes the process pretty easy for me. So if you're looking for a place that's going to hold your hand while you complain about the size of the needle (that's what she said), I can't speak from experience. However, I had a good experience here.
I came to get my conch pierced, which is the inside "cup" of your ear. (I also wanted to get the ring replaced that I already had in my other ear. Could NOT get the thing out by myself.) Not the most pleasant, but these guys did a great job. I walked right in and had no wait, which was really nice considering my times in PB when I had to wait 30 minutes for a group of girls who decided to all get their belly buttons pierced together. Ugh.
Anyways, apparently the place that had pierce my other one (not naming names) had put in this jacked up ring that the guy had to CUT out. This could've been really ugly, he could've charged me or been rough about it, but he made sure to be nice about it and, shockingly, was so good  about that I was totally ok with him going at me with wire cutters. I think that speaks for itself. Half an hour later, the damn thing was out and replaced with a less sketchy ring. He didn't have to go to all that trouble, and I was extremely appreciative of that.
The piercing was fine. I've had people laugh as I wince when the needle goes through, but he was very nice and made it as painless as possible. Props.
He made sure to show me how the rings worked so I could actually change them on my own, and I was good to go.
Lastly, the prices were very decent. Some places charge exorbitant amounts for the heck of it, and it was nice to not feel like I was gonna risk Hepatitis for a low price.
One note - call if you're coming in around their open time. They may very well not be in til 1130. That didn't happen to me, but that's the rule of thumb with piercing/tattoo places.
Have had 1 tattoo and 5 piercings here without any complaints.
Super sanitary and friendly/funny dudes.
$6 jewelry, $30-$40 piercings, and $65 minimum tattoos (I think).
Cheap and great work? Couldn't ask for anything more.
Plus, Nemo talked me into doing dermals instead of a bar on my neck and charged me $40 (bar price) each instead of $60. That's what's up. Plus, a bar would have left a crazy scar and my mom now wants dermals too.
I get all of my piercings here and I've never had ANY sort of an issue.
The facility is well maintained and clean, the piercer (Nemo) is professional, meticulous, and really good at what he does.
The rest of the staff, though I don't have any tattoos, have done some of the best work I've ever seen.
The boys are friendly, funny, and productive. It's a tattoo shop and they don't pretend it's anything it's not, which is nice. They serve every purpose they're designed to and I really haven't met anyone who has been disappointed in their work.
Prices are affordable, hours are convenient and I'd recommend their services to everyone.
I've been here before for some cheap body jewelery and met the piercer, Nemo, he was friendly and professional not to mention really cute ^_^
When I decided I wanted my hood pierced I thought I'd try out a new place. Â The piercing was quick, almost pain-free, and a good price. The only reason I am rating 4 stars instead of 5 is because this shop only pierces with and sells externally threaded jewelery :(
i'm a total snob and a half when it comes to body mods... but after a terrible break up i decided i NEEDED to get a piercing. my beloved enigma wasn't really an option at that point, so my friend suggested EC tattoo. i gagged. then laughed in his face. i don't want hepititis. thanks. however he said that's where he got all of his piercings, and he def wasn't referring to the one across from parkway plaza... so we were off on our merry way.
i wanted double anti-eyebrows, but he didn't have the jewelry available. boo. so i decided on a labret. after joking with the handsome young gent for a few he took me back and we got started. thankfully he was as ocd as i am about placement. after struggling with the perfect placement, he clamped, and stuck the needle through. not too shabby.
he told me i can come back in two weeks and we'll change out the jewelry and what not.
