    Do not ever EVER get a piercing here. Yesterday I went with my friend to get our tongue's pierced. We walked in and the piercer (tall, old, gray beard) right off the bat seemed like an arrogant asshole. But we stayed because we figured tongue piercings are so standard that they can't be that hard. My friend got her piercing and it was fine. He didn't really ask her how she was doing or if she liked the position or anything; he just pierced it without giving her any notice. Then I laid down to get my tongue. I have thirteen other piercings; I am not a wimp when it comes to this stuff. Especially for a tongue piercing which I heard was the least painful and easiest to heal. So he goes to pierce it and is fucking with my tongue for a little too long. It starts to seriously hurt and he has me sit up and has failed to pierce my tongue. What he succeeded in doing is puncture it diagonally all the way through and then pull the piercing out so that my tongue was profusely bleeding for about ten minutes. And I mean profusely bleeding; my entire mouth was drenched in blood. I start panicking and crying because it is a very scary thing to deal with. He never once apologizes or admits to COMPLETELY FUCKING UP MY TONGUE. He tried to say it was my fault and that my tongue was thicker than he thought. Then, when we tell him that he fucked up, he begins to yell at us. He says "you guys better get the fuck out of here, I've had enough of this shit. I'm going to call the cops". WTF??? He just COMPLETELY FUCKED UP MY TONGUE and then tries kicking us out?????????? So we left without him even giving my friend the talk on how to properly take care of your piercings. He should have his license taken away, and I will be sure to do everything I can to make that happen. I am getting authorities involved for sure. Take this as a warning; THIS GUY IS A COMPLETE ARROGANT ASSHOLE WHO FAILED TO PIERCE MY TONGUE AND TRIED TO BLAME IT ON ME. Do not EVER EVER EVER go here. There are so many other places right down the street. Seriously, FUCK this guy.

    Nick is amazing! I would highly recommend him to anyone... he did a rose on my back and is doing a sleeve for a friend of mine... Very professional and reasonably priced!

    Cruising down Garnet with a friend, he randomly decided he wanted to get his lip piercing redone. It was around 9-10pm on a Sunday night, and Enigma was closed. [He's gone to that place before] We kept driving, and saw that Edgewater was open..yes! The people were nice, the place looked clean, the prices very reasonable, and goddamit I just HAD to give in to my urge to get another piercing. Afterall, I'd been wanting to get my tragus done for a while.

    Mijah was our piercer, and she's awesome! Highly recommended. Think she only works weekends. Fun to talk to, explained what she was doing, changed her gloves often, and made us do breathing exercises with her before getting pierced. That was a new one. This is my 3rd piercing at an actual shop and I really wish I'd known earlier that it's not normal to feel like a number when getting a hole in your body.

    Yes, Zebra's in Berkeley, I'm looking at you.

    It's been almost a month, and my trag has been giving me no issues...no swelling, no pain, etc. Living in between the Bay Area and San Diego, I'm glad to have found a trustworthy tattoo &piercing place in SD. I am most definitely coming back, and who knows, next time it might be for another tat. (;

    Went here to get some jewelry changed out in my wrist. They have a HUGE selection to choose from. Dustin greeted me at the door and hooked me up with the guy in charge of piercings. He changed out my jewelry. It took a while cause it was hard to get a grip on the dermal post. but he eventually got it and then I was on my way.

    I took my time and went and talked to Dustin about some tattoos and checked out the painting he was working on. He was VERY friendly!

    Gave it 4/5 stars cause all I got was jewelry changed. When I go back for a tattoo or piercing, I am sure I will able to give it a 5!

    I got my most recent tattoo here from Rick, who happens to be hilarious btw.

    I can never stick with the same tattoo artist, because for some reason I've never found one that I can trust with all my bigger pieces I'm planning on.  Anyway, after a long day of going to, and calling all tattoo shops withing five miles of me, we decided to try out Edgewater.  I had gotten a referral from a friend, so I figure why not see what these boys are all about.  Called, and they had an opening, so we headed over.

    Rick gave me a very fair price on a piece, and we were in and out in a few hours.  Months later, the color turned out really good, and it didn't scab or peel at all.  He had a heavy ass hand though, which hurt like a bitch, but it was all worth it.

    The whole time we listen to classic rock, and rick sang all the tunes with his thick Brazilian accent.

    I got my first ever tattoo from Diana at Edgewater. She was very assuring, as I thought I would die from the pain, it didn't hurt not at all! The coloring is absolutely beautiful still, and its been 2 years. The cost was very negotiable for the size and detail of the art work I wanted done.
    The only reason its been so long since I've gone back is because I was under the assumption that it was closed, which, thank goodness, it isn't! So I'll be heading down there again today! Huzzah!!

    i got my third tattoo here today. i'm still planning to stick to avalon for when i get the rest of my arm filled in, but i didn't feel like waiting on this one.

    i called around a few places asking if they had any openings. everyone said no. so i called edgewater and the guy asked me what exactly it was i wanted so he'd know if he had time for it because he was the only one in the shop. i explained the tattoo and he said to come down and show it to him.

    i wanted a smaller version of the picture i brought. one that'd fit right under my collarbone. he re-drew it by hand and brought it out to me. looked perfect so i said alright, let's do it.

    it went by super fast and the cost was $60. i tipped $20.
