Eternal Tattoos

I have been wanting a tattoo for a very long time and had anxieties about getting one that was done well and by someone that had the artistic ability and professionalism I wanted. Although the tattoo I chose didn't require much, it was important for me to feel like my vision would be accomplished. My nephew has been seeing Jay for his art and I felt confident to book an appointment and finally get the tattoo, I had been wanting. Jay was very professional and my tattoo is amazing. I couldn't be happier. I have another idea for one more tattoo and am certain there is no other place I would go, but to Jay at External....

This is my favorite tattoo shop of all the places I've been. It's clean, the artists have good reputations and great portolios to back them up.

There are two things I think people scoping Yelp should find on Yelp regarding tattoo shops. Cleanliness and reputation.

The rest of the research you have to do on your own. Go to the shop and ask to see portfolios or see if you can peek in on somebody else getting tattooed. Look with your special eyes and see if you like what you're seeing.

Gloves, ointment, ink cups, proper plastic shields on all bottles and ridged items, clean environment, solid work being done. You can't necessarily find that on Yelp.

Ask the artist why they use the soap or ointment they use. Ask what their aftercare instructions are. Talk out a price you're both comfortable with. There's my advice.

I have been getting tattooed here for years. I have several tattoos done by Jay as well as several from Dennis, who also works here & is equally as amazing. Jay is an amazing artist and I wouldn't go anywhere else. I've also had friends and family members tattooed and pierced here. The shop is clean and professional and I highly recommend any of the artists!!
