Yes I did come in here when I was on vacation and so wanted to get me a tattoo.
The accountant and her Mafia were out shopping on State Street so only god know how long they would take.
I have always been a rebel one way or another and this was a way of putting what I felt on my skin. The first thing I thought about was a Guns & Roses one, then a Superman, then a Raiders, A's, a Yelp Logo and even a butterfly on my ass. (jk)

Price?  Who care what it cost, If you know me then you know I don't really care.

Now the question was. Did I get one ??

Only by asking will you ever know

Ok so I came out to California from Colorado to visit my fiancé who is current working out here and I was so determined to get my tattoo done that I called around and was put on a wait list. My fiancé took me to a romantic get away for a night over in the Santa Barbara area and conveniently it was within blocks of the tattoo parlor. Long story short after researching about this specific shop and speaking with Shea he was able to get me in within 48 hours with Juan who btw.... Did an awesome job on what I was thinking.
WAY TO GO GUYS FROM Golden Eagle Tattoo!!

Ok...here's my story. I am new to the world of tattoos and, honestly, I was a little nervous. In addition, I'm considered high risk since I take a blood thinner called Coumadin. While visiting Santa Barbara, I met Mark as he was closing up shop one evening and asked if he would tattoo someone on Coumadin. He said he would. I went back to where I was staying to think about it and do more research.  I called several other places that were not very nice when I mentioned Coumadin and basically hung up on me. I went back to Mark the next day and showed him what I wanted. He was so sweet and helpful, and really made me feel comfortable and welcome. Mark took precautions, took his time and gave me a beautiful tattoo! 5 stars to Golden Eagle Tattoo and their staff!

Awesome painting from this cool place. I got my first tattoo on my right upper arm. Great service here. They were very patient for picking up the symbol for me. Highly recommend this place!

I've been here a few times, for both myself and for friends. I had my tragus pierced here in 2010; the piercer did a great job, though it was pretty expensive ($60, cash only). It was quick, painless, and healed flawlessly.

However, when I came back later in the summer to accompany a friend while getting her belly pierced, the piercer was really distracted and kept talking to friends who came into the studio. What really irked me was that they friends had a dog, and as much as I love animals I don't want them around sterile equipment.

This is probably the best place to go in SB, but they're quite expensive and I'd say it'd be worth it to work your next piercing in with a trip to LA.

My Husband and I have been going to Golden Eagle for the last 3 years now, our Tattoo Artist is Jason Bradshaw. Not only is Jason an extraordinary artist but he minimizes pain with his light hand and his timing is so on point that you're done before you know it. Jason is now in Florida but he does guest  spot a few times a year at Golden Eagle and I already have my next appt. set up in May with him. We drive up from Long Beach just for him... Enough said.

I had my nose pierced about a week ago by Josh, after reading others' reviews of his work. He is as amazing as other reviewers said - very professional and confident in his work. This was my first piercing and he put me completely at ease; the piercing itself didn't hurt a bit and Josh walked me through the after-care process entirely. I've already taken one of my friends to Josh to get her own piercing and she loved him as well.

Walked in on my 21st birthday (sober). Impressive. Had a good idea of what I wanted, with hopes that they could help me refine my idea a little better. Nope. They sat around while I worked with my idea until I finally committed to something.
Gabe was my artist. He was a chill guy who did clean work.  We didn't talk much. I guess he must not have found me interesting. After the tattoo I noticed there was a line, just a little out of place. So I asked him to fix it. He complained. Told me it was fine. But eventually, took out his gear and did it. I gave him my money, he said cool, and that was it.
This was my first tattoo, and I was ecstatic. I didn't even think at the time to ask him how I should care for my tattoo. But then again, shouldn't he have been forthcoming with that information? I mean, I told him I was virgin skin. Sweet, sweet, virgin skin. And all he said was "cool" after! Whatever, I hit google when I got home. Then google says, "Oh, would you like 400 google, yahoo, and wiki answers, all with differing opinions"? No thanks, just the wrong one please.
Sooo, I didn't apply much ointment the first couple days having read that it suffocates the skin and causes the ink to bleed. So instead I got a scab. I would've bled a couple extra drops of ink to avoid that stupid, itchy thing. Oh, and the tattoo looks okay. But with better care, even my mother might've liked it.

Fabulous experience! I walked in on a Sunday evening with just an idea for a sunflower tattoo (my first) on my foot. I explained it to Andrew. He said "that sounds like a great idea", left for a few minutes, and returned with a beautiful drawing for me to try on. He was super nice, knowledgeable, and did a gorgeous tattoo, better than anything I could have imagined. Everyone at Golden Eagle was wonderful, the shop had a great vibe, and Andrew did incredible work for me. It has healed perfectly. I highly recommend Golden Eagle, and Andrew in particular.

I had been considering a belly button piercing for so long, but was always too scared. I did not have an appointment, but walked in a few times, very undecisive for a few hours. When I finally decided to get pierced, I met the piercer. He was extremely friendly and outgoing. He gave me a pep talk, because I was still scared. The shop is very clean and organized, and all of the staff is professional. My piercing did not hurt at ALL, and I am extremely pleased with it ! Has healed beautifully, and I only got it pierced 3 months ago. There is no better place to go in Santa Barbara.

Josh pierced my nose in April and did an awesome job.  He answered all of my questions and is clearly very experienced and knowledgeable.  I never once felt like he was clueless or inexperienced and he talked confidently and made me feel at ease. I've been to other piercing places over the years and NONE of them are nearly as professional and CLEAN as Golden Eagle. Also, a lot of times at tattoo/piercing places they have tons of attitude and don't take you seriously if you don't have 50 tattoos and facial piercings.  These guys have always made me feel comfortable and I don't feel dumb asking questions about my piercings.

Johnny put jewelry back in my bellybutton after not having any for almost 3 years and it was super fast and easy despite it being clogged up a bit. He was also really friendly and professional.

And last but not least, Josh put a hoop in my nose after I went to a piercing place in Canada who gave me "the smallest hoop I could get" which was actually a really big, ugly hoop.  Josh changed out my jewelry to a nice snug hoop that fit my nose perfectly and it made me completely loyal to them haha.

I rarely write reviews on Yelp but these guys are just too awesome.  I do NOT take piercings lightly at all and I am very picky about who I let poke holes in my body.  I totally trust these guys and I won't go anywhere else!!

I have only gotten pierced there and I went to Golden Eagle because I knew Johnny worked there. I've known Johnny since I was 15, when he worked in Pismo Beach at Tiger Rose. I had gotten 3 piercings by his apprentice and I was always so happy with them. A couple months ago I wanted a piercing but my old piercer had moved so I thought who better to go to then his teacher, Johnny. He was awesome, he made me feel very comfortable and he's a sweetheart. He gave me a good deal on the jewelry and the piercing was fast and didn't hurt at all. I was very satisfied and will only go to him now. I definitely recommend going there for piercings. They have the nicest set up I've ever seen and the best jewelry selection as well. I only wish I had more money to spend there!! Also the tattoo artists are wonderful as well. They're very sweet and will help you with anything. I hope this review helps you choose this place if your looking because they will definitely not disappoint.

I don't have any tattoos... I came here specifically for the piercing studio, which is located upstairs.

    Now,

I've had piercings done at really shitty places because I wanted to save some money, and trust me... that was probably one of the dumbest things I could've ever done. Not only did I waste all that money because the piercing wasn't done right and I had to take it out, but what if I had some sort of allergic reaction to the jewelry?

Let me tell you that this place is legit.  They know what they're talking about and if they think that your piercing isn't going to be a good idea, they won't do it.  Every question I've ever thrown at them, they had an answer for and when you're in the studio, you are NOT ALLOWED to touch any of your piercings, regardless of whether they've been fully healed or not.

    Its CASH ONLY, btw.

I have had the pleasure of working around the corner from Golden Eagle Tattoo for nearly 3 years, and in that time I have established friendships with some of the guys at the shop. When I decided it was time for my second tattoo in 2010 I couldn't think of any other place to go. I wanted a fox on my arm and had a very specific idea of what I wanted, so I asked Ben to help me find the right artist and he suggested Andrew. When I went in to talk to Andrew, he was very nice, attentive, sincere and professional. Shortly after the new year I went and got my fox, it covers almost all of the back of my upper arm and I have to say to this day I still stare at her ( I named her Silvia) every day, I couldn't be happier. People of all ages walk up to me and compliment me. Just last week (Friday the 13th!) I went back to Andrew for my second tattoo from him, this time it was a very sentimental memorial tattoo for my uncle. Again he was very nice, attentive, and sincere. Andrew is always patient with me when I start to bitch about the pain, and we always have good conversation. If you ever get the honor of being tattooed by him don't just sit there, have a chat, he is a cool and interesting guy. To top my perfect experience this last time, right at the end of my tattoo "try me" by James Brown came on, it just seemed to wrap up my session on the best note possible. Love the guys at Golden Eagle Tattoo, and Piercing. Very professional, clean, and just all around awesome people.

I got my tattoo here, and it was a very strange experience.  If you don't know how these places work, and what things should cost, it's easy to get taken advantage of.  When I went in the first time, Nathan came to the counter and helped me to decide what I wanted with what I could described to him.  He told me to come back a week later and he would have a picture for me.  When I came back, I didn't know how to tell him that I wanted certain parts in his sketch tweeked a bit, he was intimidating, so I just said it was all fine, and he put it on.  He took several smoke breaks, but hey, the tattoo was straight and perfectly aligned so I didn't complain.  I got a black and white celtic knot on my back, took about 2 hours, and cost me $400 plus tip.  I didn't know how to negotiate price, but everyone I talked to after said I got ripped off.  He said that after I had healed up a bit, to come back, and he would touch up whatever hadn't set in for free.  When I came back, the staff told me he had been fired... because he had been overcharging, and hadn't been paying his monthly dues?  Not sure, cause they wouldn't exactly say.  Either way, they did look at my tattoo, and thankfully it was all fine.

the guy COMPLETELY fucked up my poor mother in laws entire forearm. He was supposed to do a peacock feather with some words. The lines were terrible, the words were uneven/crooked and no space in between two words so it loked like one word. Granted my mother in law should have just stoped him and got her money back, but she didn't know better. She had to get it covered. Oh and he did it orange. I don't believe that peacck feathers ae orange.

I asked my friends for advice on where to get my first tattoo and I kept hearing Golden Eagle. So I checked it out and the people at the front were so helpful, friendly, and nice! I wanted to keep my options open though, so I checked other shops around only to find out that I didn't like their initial customer service so I finally made up my mind to go to Golden Eagle and I don't regret one bit! I did my Yelp research and kept seeing Andrew's name in all the reviews especially for floral design since I wanted purple orchids. So I went back to the shop to meet Andrew and make my appointment and put in a deposit. On the day that my tattoo was to be done, naturally, I was nervous (it was my first tat ever!) of the pain but mostly the outcome. When I came to talk to Andrew at his station I told him how I wanted it and even showed him a picture thinking that he was just going to mimic it but I should've known he's an expert and knows what he's talking about. He convinced me that the way I wanted the orchids wouldn't make sense since orchids grow outwards (mind you he's a floral gardener too) so he sketched out on my shoulder area and already I loved what he was doing! It accentuated my shoulder which I was going for and it exceeded my expectation on how I wanted it to turn out. The pain wasn't so bad either! And overall price was less than I expected! But yes this place is awesome, everyone is cool and Andrew is the shit! He's a man of few words but he knows wassup! I would most definitely recommend him to anyone whether it's your first tattoo or your hundredth! I am going back for a second tattoo from him sometime in the future! ;)

I randomly stopped into the golden eagle tattoo shop because i was interested in having a tattoo on my side (skull and roses) fixed. I met Andrew and made an appointment with him for the next week. I drew free hand on my side and then tattooed over it. I am so happy with his work and no longer feel insecure about my tattoo. I would highly recommend Andrew for any tattoo and I will definitely go back to him for future tattoos!

I got my nose pierced today by Johnny and had a great experience. Although I'd pierced my ears plenty of times before, I was really nervous about piercing my nose. As it turns out, I had nothing to worry about.

Johnny was very friendly, explained what he was going to do and the after-care process thoroughly, and was extremely quick. And the best part is that it was nowhere near as painful as I was expecting. If you can handle getting your ears pierced, you can easily handle piercing your nose.

Golden Eagle is a little pricier than the other body piercing shops in town (my piercing was $60), but as far as I'm concerned it was worth it for the quality job.

The two downsides are that they're cash only (there's an ATM downstairs, but bring cash if you don't want a $3 fee) and the place, while very clean, smelled like cigarette smoke because of a group of people smoking right outside the doorway.

I highly recommend Golden Eagle and will probably go back to them whenever I'm ready to get a tattoo.

If you're getting a tattoo in SB, THIS is where you get it done right. I had my first tattoo there, done by Andrew. I gave him an idea of what I wanted and he sketched it out perfectly and knew exactly how to fit it on my ribcage. Yes, you may be paying a little tiny bit more than the other places...but it's on your body forever, so I'd pay the extra few bucks and not have to pay hundreds of dollars later for laser removal.

If you're going to choose to permanently mark your body with some art or something that has important meaning to you... You better choose the right shop and artist to do it at! I had one tattoo from about a decade ago that was a non-visible. I'd been thinking about getting one on my bicep for a while now. I had a pretty unusual design that I wanted... Jason helped by redrawing it and getting it appropriately sized. Jason Bradshaw was my artist and was awesome! The tattoo turned out awesome! Tons of compliments from both artists as well as your regular Joe and Jane Blows out on the town. The price was less than the originally estimated cost. I have had NO problems with the tattoo so far... It's been 5 days now and just had my peel last night and this morning. No real scabbing to speak of at all. I've gone by the shop in the days following and the guys were super helpful with care instructions and looking out for me and my tattoo. With this awesome experience I'm gonna be back for one on my calf soon. Ben the owner was/is super cool as well as everyone else that worked at the shop.
    Thanks guys!
And Congratulations to Jason Bradshaw on your son Caleb (sp?)! I was his first client after his week paternity leave. Funny, because I saw this cute bartender I know and she was complementing my tattoo. I really liked hers and she said Jason Bradshaw gave it to her as the last tattoo before his paternity leave... It's a small, crazy and awesome world we live in!

I had a terrible experience at Golden Eagle. I came here for a small piece on my foot - a black and white anchor, about 2" square. The "artist" who worked on it clearly didn't care very much about it because it was such a small piece (therefore he wouldn't make very much money on it...) and completely rushed through the piece. The lines were completely blown out and it looked awful. It looked so bad I have since gone over it with another tattoo that I did NOT get at Golden Eagle.

Don't come here if you're not throwing down for a big piece of work; they only care about the people who are there to spend $500+ on their tattoos.

Oh and it's cash only, which is pretty inconvenient.

I was at a conference in Santa Barbara for the weekend, and one of my close friends was meeting me there from Berkeley. I really wanted him to be with me when I got my first tattoo, so I decided to look up parlors in Santa Barbara. I found this place, and I'm glad I went.

I was running late. They were really nice and were willing to wait for me and stay past closing to let me get my tattoo. Unfortunately, I don't remember the guy's name, but he was fantastic. I originally wanted the tattoo on my ribs, but was terrified about the pain. He was really thorough in answering all my questions, and told me that the best place for the tattoo I wanted given its size would be on my left shoulder. At that, I was convinced. The process itself was pretty straightforward -- he traced it on my shoulder, asked me if I liked it, and once I approved, he got to work.

My pain tolerance isn't as high as I thought it was. Thankfully, my friend was there to hold my hand, haha. I'm really, really, really happy with the results and if I'm ever back in Santa Barbara wanting a tattoo, I'd be sure to go to them. They were definitely worth the tip!

My friends asked me to come along to Golden Eagle as he got his sleeve finished. I had never been here not heard of it and was kind of pissed of that he didn't use my tattoo guy. By the time the sleeve was finished my opinion if the place has completely changed. He got his work done by the owner George And he was amazing. His sleeve looks great, he was very nice and professional, the helping staff was excellent and I couldn't say anything bad about the place or the work done. It was very quick ( less then 3 hours for him to draw everything, place it and do the work.) In my opinion, all the work he got done was very cheap! What I like most about this place is that George didn't care about the money, he cared about doing a great piece of work on someone and them loving it. Other then my tattoo guy, I would tell you to go to George.

While driving down 1 over the weekend, I stopped in a bunch of random beach towns, checking out local businesses and eating as much of the local favorites as time and stomach capacity could allow. By the time I hit Santa Barbara,  I decided that my experience would not be marked by a memorable meal, but by a new piercing.

I hopped on Yelp, and thanks to my fellow Yelpers, I discovered Golden Eagle Tattoo. Situated on bustling State street, next to an adult bookstore, Golden Eagle has an exceptionally inviting vibe, with its open front and casual vibe. I was quickly directed upstairs, where he piercings were done.

I was greeted by a casual, yet professional guy, named Johnny, who promptly introduced himself, asking for my name and remembering it through my visit. (Nice touch, especially when I have pre-piercing butterflies.)

I got the cuff of my left ear pierced with a small hoop, a piercing that I have had before, but let close. The piercing room was very clean, with instruments packages from the autoclave. There was an emphasis on cleanliness and sterility- always comforting in a piercing studio.

With a one, two count and a few deep breaths, the piecing was done, before it began with little to no pain. It looks awesome and is healing nicely.

Overall this has been my best piercing experience, and it is a shame I live so far away, because I would go again the next time I want something pierced.

    Thanks Johnny!

I live in San Diego and went to Santa Barara because my cousin wanted to get her first tattoo. We stopped at Golden Eagle Friday night at the beginning of our pub crawl. We came back at 2 on Saturday to get our tattoos. (her first, my third). Andrew was on time and worked with us both to finalize the artwork to ensure our satisfaction. He did my cousins first, then mine. The work was outstanding. I just keep looking at it impressed with the detail that he put into it. Andrews work far exceeded my expectations. Prices were fair. Shop was clean. Staff answered all our questions. I will be going back to get another one from him soon. I highly recommend this shop and Andrew in particular. Cool guy, great art, and tons if bars on State Street to drink the sting away. Go there and get one this weekend. See you there.

I have gotten many a tattoo and piercing at this State Street fixture and never been disappointed.

I went in on the fourth to get a few additions to my earring collections and they had changed thing a bit since I had last been around. Apparently business is good because they had started using the upstairs space for piercings and the downstairs for tattoos. Exciting!

Ted has been interested in getting his first (and supposedly only) tattoo for a while now and was willing to get it today since we were in the area of my preferred place. Ted told him what he wanted and the guy directed him to the font book to choose a font. This makes sense to me but Ted was disappointed. He, having never partaken of a tattoo, assumed that the man was an artist and that he would be able to draw something based on what Ted was saying. Ted didn't get the tattoo and he walked out very disappointed. But this isn't the parlors fault, this is Ted's fault.

I went upstairs and Josh Misery helped me choosing the perfect location for my two new piercings. Within ten minutes of sitting down in his very sterile piercing environment I was out on the street again and very pleased. He was precise/accurate and friendly and the two piercings didn't break my bank. For all my piercing needs I will definitely come back here!

I've lived in Santa Barbara on and off for about 5 years now and have worked next to Golden Eagle for about 2. I've gotten a few random smaller script tattoos at other shops around California, but when I decided to finally stop dicking around and get a full graphic tattoo, I knew exactly where I was going to make an appointment.

Over the years, I've heard nothing but flawless reviews about Golden Eagle. I got my lip pierced there a few years ago and was exceptionally impressed with their professionalism and hygienic environment (without feeling like a clinic). My tattoo experience was even better.

Andrew did my work. The piece itself involved an insane amount of fine crosshatching and fill work. I gotta say, even knowing the shops great reputation, I was trying to keep my expectations low because of the complicated nature of the tattoo.  An hour and a half later all I could say was damn...Andrew killed it, the tattoo turned out unbelievably well, it healed perfectly and needed no touch up what so ever. Definitely check out his portfolio online (mines the one with the bull).
My girlfriend was getting work done too by Johnny (sp?) and hers turned out just as good.

Long story short, if you want your work to exceed expectations and be done right the first time, look nowhere else. You're probably going to wind up paying ~40-50 bucks more than some of the other shops I've hit up in California, but come on, its a tattoo and I can't think of anything else worth shelling out a few extra bucks for, especially when all these guys know exactly what they are doing.

Oh, and don't forget to tip. Well. These guys are badass,

I was so intimidated when I first came here.  I had just moved to SB for school and within a month of living here I made the decision to get a tattoo.  Oh, where have my carefree college days gone?  Granted my tattoo is something I had thought about for a couple years and is just a single word, not as exciting as the beautiful pieces of art many others get, I would go here again.

As intimidated and unfamiliar with the tattoo world as I was when I first entered, everyone at the shop made it simple.  They were so accommodating and very busy - both are good for a shop to have.

During my first visit, I explained what I wanted and they told me they didn't have time that day, but to come back the next day at a specified time.  I returned and worked with Neal.  I flipped through the script they had in the books at the shop and none of it really stood out.  So I ended up describing to Neal what I wanted and showed him a mix of 3 or so different types of scripts and the qualities I liked from each.  He was able to freehand an incredible font that they didn't have in any of their script books.  I've received many compliments on the script and have no regrets.  I've been thinking about getting another tattoo and would definitely return to this place for it if I'm ever in the area again.

I got a very rad traditional tattoo at golden eagle.  i'm so pumped about it.  the artist was jason bradshaw, and i am already planning to come back.  he is a super artist and a super nice guy too.  what more could you want?  i want more tattoos from him!  yay for all of us.  i'm going to write jason's name in capital letters because he is that deserving of props.  JASON BRADSHAW!!!!!!!   i have had work done in real special and super rad places  (i'm super cool like that, no just kidding) but i am used to a caliber of artist and a cleanliness and a professional-ness when i get a tattoo.  i'm picky!  golden eagle is right up at the top of my list.

Was in Santa Barbara for the weekend and decided to randomly get my 5th tattoo after passing Golden Eagle. Went in on a Saturday afternoon and they were immediately available for me. I'm a complete and utter jackass so I can't remember the name of my artist - tall guy, glasses, mostly deaf in his left ear - but he was awesome. He did a great job and was quick and totally social. I love when I have an artist I can talk to. Price was fairly reasonable....not too over the top.

professional, not dick-y when i was asking genuine questions about stretching my 4 gauge ears..
    free stretching when buying jewelry.
well the hoops i got were not available in anything smaller than a 4 so i couldnt get the free stretching which sucks cuz thats what i really wanted but whatever. the coffee colored glass hoops in a small size 4 are cool..
josh the dude who was gonna stretch my ears was cool.
    $40 + $10 tip = $4 atm charge for me!

I don't remember the name of the man who tattooed me because he never introduced himself. I think he is new because he's not on their website. I went in for a simple line drawing. I didn't have an appointment but it was a weekday so I thought I might be able to get one later. I came back a few hours later but still had to wait another hour (obviously not anyone's fault, but still annoying). I paid $100 + $20 tip for a simple line drawing which took less than 10 minutes from him copying my picture to telling me I was done. I thought that was pretty steep, but I don't think it's polite to argue with artists so I didn't. I got home and noticed the lines were bleeding (meaning the black was bleeding into the surrounding skin, there was no actual literal human blood, at least no more than is usual for a tat) at one part. I hoped it would heal away. When it didn't after a month, I went back. I did get a free touch up by the same guy but he seemed pissed off when I showed up and when I left, I'm pretty sure he called after me "no tip?" even though I'd paid him $120 already for still less than 30 minutes of work total. I've heard good things about this place, but the artist who helped me was just not good and I won't be returning. I wish I'd learned his name...

Well i'll start this with mentioning my artist Jason Bradshaw. He is absolutely amazing. We have been working on an entire leg sleeve on my left leg for about two years now. The piece has come out "speechless" amazing. The entire staff and artist there are always quick to chat up a storm and always quick to remember you.
Tattoo detail is awesome and the artist all have amazing skill.

Talented and sanitary!  Way better than those guys across the street..

To the person who gave them 1 star...It's a tattoo shop, not a puppy store.  What were you expecting?

To the person who complained about the $80 minimum..It's the same anywhere else around town. Paying $80 for a tattoo thats going to be there FOREVER is NOT expensive.

Golden Eagle is damn awesome.  My husband and his brothers got tattoos here this summer and since then have each gone back at least a dozen times.  Sometime in between, I got a few myself.  Everyone there is awesome (really!) but I was amazingly impressed with Andrew Cornish, who is good at a lot more than just tattooing.  I don't think I ever expected that my tattoo artist would be sensitive to petty nervousness about the permanence of his work, but he was.  By the time my tattoo was done, I was sad to go!  I love my tattoos and I love the fact that they were done by such an awesome person.  Thank you Andrew!

I went to neil for my second tattoo, on my shoulder.  He did an amazing job, he was very friendly, made me feel very relaxed.  The shop was clean and organized.  When i went it to get info about price, make an appt.  The manager was  surprisingly professional and kind.  I wouldn't expext "professionalism" from a tattoo parlor, but it was very nice.  The only beef was the minimum was $80 which i think is a bit high, but if you want good work, pay for it!

I got my first tat here in July during the Solstice celebrations in SB. There was a guy by the name of Neil I believe who did it. I brought in my own insanely intricate and thin linework that I wanted done and it came out perfect. Lots of really really narrow lines and this guy nailed it.

I was able to walk in and 20 minutes later was getting inked. When it's busy though, an appointment might be a better bet. And, as mentioned by another reviewer, this place is cash only but they have an ATM. And if you're worried about price, most of the artists are willing to negotiate. I managed to knock about $50 off the cost of mine.

I've had several friends get piercings and tats here as well. All the piercings were spot on. Gauge is an effing sweet piercer and he's done some cool things to one of my friends.

All in all, I haven't seen any mistakes or bad things come out of this place!

My buddy from highschool, Andrew Cornish, has been here for probably about three years now and has been adding to my arm for quite awhile. His lines and shading are absolutely perfect.  Others who work here are always very nice and are extremely talented from what I've seen. The atmosphere has always been very inviting and laid-back.
The lot on the corner of State & Palm is fairly cheap and 9 times out of 10 has room, and it has a good coffeeshop next to it.,,,,

I got my first piece at Golden Eagle in April. I am so happy with it! While this was my first piece here, it was my 2nd by Jason Bradshaw, who I met when he tattooed a block from my house in Isla Vista at Kustom Ink.

Jason is my favorite and I am trust him so much I drove 600 miles round trip to have him do this piece! He has a way with figuring out when I mean when I am using all the wrong terms and coming up with something way better than anything I imagined. I believe his favorite styles to do are Japanese and Traditional.

The staff was really nice, one guy even did a bunch of video for me! There is also some nice local color, like this retarded guy that hangs out at the shop! Bonus! I had such a great time I had to have Jason stop tattooing while I shook with laughter on the table a couple times.

The do piercing and have a pretty decent selection of jewelry, too.

Cash only folks, they do have an atm and don't forget to tip your artist well.

Check out the videos from my last piece on YouTube!
