Love this place. I've gotten two tattoos here, one by Josh (who I don't think is there anymore) and one by John (the owner who is fun to talk to). They both turned out fantastic. I also got a rook piercing from Heather (who is an absolute sweetheart) which went well too. I have also bought gauges here. I always recommend Gothic Body to my friends. Good prices too.

I love gothic body. They are clean, reputable and accurate. I have had several piercings here, and they have all been done very well. I got microdermals a couple years ago, and unlike cheaper places on the east side, they use a punch instead of just gouging around. They did a great job and it all healed great. They are comforting if you're nervous too.

I just went in a couple weeks ago and got a memorial tattoo done for my brother. Clearly I was emotional and they were very understanding. He did a wonderful job and it was perfect.

They are a little more expensive than places like atomic, but the difference in quality is clear. Pay the extra few dollars and get something done here that you will be completely happy with.

i stopped in looking for a tattoo artist to complete my next tattoo. The young woman behind the counter was friendly, but she could be only marginally helpful as they have no artist portfolios in the shop, only on their Facebook and website.  I personally would rather look at an artist's portfolio in the shop, and potentially talk to him/her about possibilities rather than looking online.

The shop seems to be pretty clean.

They do piercings as well, and the prices seem to be pretty decent.

I went with a friend here and we each had a piercing done.  When we first walked in we were both really nervous. We felt a little intimidated, but there was no specific reason for it.  Immediately when we came in it was a very relaxed environment.  You can see right away that they offer a lot of different piercing jewelry, along with different products for cleaning and preventing infections.  When we sat down the employee who helped us was really knowledgeable and she explained exactly what was going to happen.  She could tell we were nervous and instantly calmed our fears.  I know it was just a piercing but it's a hole in your body! When we sat down the seats were really comfortable.  With each thing she did it was explained.  From the different materials she was using and throughout the hole process she told us when she was going to pierce etc.  It was quick and painless.  When we were done she explained the different products for us, told us what to you and what not to use.  We ended up both buying a different product for our piercings.  I bought a liquid type and my friend bought a lotion type to prevent infection.  They both were great.  We were also provided with material on what to do and not to do.  Along with tips and contact information in-case something happened..nothing did!  Everything was priced correctly, and wasn't expensive.  I ended up going back 4 months later and had the same lady switch the jewelry out.  Overall great experience- I would recommend it to anyone!

I have had nothing but good experiences with Heather, the piercer who did my industrial and a couple of lobe piercings. Her area is clean, she's efficient, and is great at explaining what she's doing. She's also pretty great with putting in CBRs and I am not, so I just pop on over if I'm putting in some new jewelry and she takes care of it for me. Parking can be tricky depending on the time of day; I tend to go a little bit later in the evening and don't have an issue finding a spot on the street nearby.

I can't comment on tattoos, other than that the blond fellow (I really should get his name one of these days...)  is always friendly when I walk in the door.

Two years ago I was looking at portfolios and getting quotes on a quote (Ha...quotes on a quote) that I wanted tatted on my arm. I was talking to a male at the shop when the female standing behind him said, "Oh, that's real original." It really pissed me off. Last I checked it doesn't matter WHAT I want on my body, I am paying them to do it. I said that to her face. Ultimately, I was asked to leave, but that is quite alright because I will NEVER go back there again. It is a shame because the guy with the blonde dreads is a sweetheart and has actually tatted me in the past, but this broad put a bad taste in my mouth. Not impressed.

    I love my nose piercing!

I was terrified at first (because it was the first piercing I got that wasn't on my ear), but the girl was really sweet and told me the procedure in detail. The price couldn't be beat either. And the result looks great. I'll check 'em out when I finally figure out what I want to tattoo on my body.

I've been pierced twice at Gothic Body. On my 18th birthday I got an eyebrow piercing at their Mukwonago location (which I think may have gone under). I later found out that I was pierced by an unlicensed piercer who had lied to gain employment there and my piercing migrated out after about a year and I was left with a nasty scar on my face.

The second time I had a labret piercing done at the Farwell location. The head piercer (I don't recall his name) did it, and while he was steady with a needle and very nice, the piercing is off-center.

I won't be coming here again.

Upon hearing about my friend's 17 year-old younger sister go out and get a (horrible horrible ugly badly done) tattoo in Chicago, I felt the need to get out there and Yelp the good body image places I've been to and crucify the bad.

    This is a goodie.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE you guys at Gothic. The location is a little skeezy for this downtown Chicago girl, but mama j. appreciates quality, service and expertise having 11+ piercings and a (few) tattoos in her lifetime. I'll make the 2+ hour drive to Milwaukee just to get Ms. Emily's services.

The few times I've been here, they've always been professional, courteous and always answered every question (baby if you're getting a hole stuck in you down THERE, you better ask questions) with genuine concern and knowledge. They're clean, thorough and serious about after care instructions.

Greg did my ex's sleeve dragon to balance out the other on his other arm and not only did it not scab, the red ink still showed beautifully years later. He did a touch-up on the other arm for free, pierced me here, here and there, and quickly too! Greg also did my tattoo when I came back the next summer and worked around my scars to give me a free lance scattering of stars that made me feel better about said scars.

Ms. Emily handles the female sensitive needs and is a sweetheart too! She gives feedback on what others have said, her own opinions on subjects and makes sure you're absolutely comfortable with what she's doing, and the results.

It's not overpriced and glitzy like the place down the street and their prices are just insanely low. I'm coming back little by little for my back piece. There is a lot of competition right around the corner too but the service and the hustling I got at these other places made me run (and I don't ever run) for the hills.  I live on the west coast and yes, it's worth the trip back every friggin' time.
