waited forever for just 'the right' moment in my life to mark my shell as my very own, and Josh at H.O.D. came *very* highly recommended.  Josh made my first inking experience as enjoyable as it could be...

i came in with my idea and a rough sketch, along with some reference materials, and was met with a very comforting and obviously knowledgeable artist in Josh.  he was very receptive to hearing out all of my anal retentive little details, and incredibly patient and 'gentle' during each of my sessions.  the establishment is clean and comfortable, and the operation is a real class act.  i couldn't be more pleased with my finished piece, as well as my overall experience.  i'm already planning my next piece and will certainly return to H.O.D. to consult with one of its fine artists.

I got a great tattoo from Jon Mirro at HOD this summer. The tattoo was pretty simple; a friend of mine did the design, so we just sized it and he tattooed it over the stencil. It was a word, in black ink, no shading, on my rib cage. It's kind of a painful spot, but Jon was great putting me at ease during the process. He was quick and did a beautiful job. It healed perfectly. The pricing was reasonable. I'd go there again. I have friends who have gotten more complicated work done by them and it always turns out great.

They also do walk ins certain days/times a week, which is great, since I know most of the artists have super long waiting lists.
