pretty expensive but for the cleanliness & service it's pretty worth it. you can just smell that everything's sterilized & clean. I only got piercings there & had good & very friendly service & they answered all questions & concerns I had. also they provide you w/ free salt to help clean & heal your piercing faster. they also gave you all the possible info on dealing & caring for your piercing.

Tigger has pierced for me both times I've been here. I really like her service! I've gotten my cartilage and tragus pierced. It's also conveniently next to campus. They also have deals from time to time. The only reason why I gave High Priestess 4 stars is because one time I had to wait for about an hour to find out that Tigger couldn't change out the post since my tragus was still sensitive. I was a little upset because of the wait for nothing. Otherwise, I have had good experiences here.

I went in to downsize my nose piercing and told them I had a problem with the post sticking out of my nose.  They offered to cut a new piercing that would fit in my nose better.  It wasn't till I was laying on the table with my previous piercing out that she informed me that she was upsizing me and then shoved a wider needle into my piercing hole.  After she did that she told me that I was barely healed....but had upsized me anyways.  On top of that they charged me $25 for the new piercing when I know most tattoo parlors charge $5 for nose studs.  Not only was I ripped off, the upsizing was very painful.  I definietely do NOT reccomend High Priestess and will never go back.

I had a very good experience getting a piercing here. Tigger was kind, professional, caring, and terrific.

I love High Priestess, I've gotten a total of 7 piercings from them both in Corvallis and their Campus location in Eugene.  The Corvallis location is especially clean and comfortable.  They can be pretty busy some times because of all the college kids, but over all they are awesome.

Yes their jewelry is EXPENSIVE.  But if you ask them, "hey dude, what's up with the pricey jewelry?  I can get blah-blah-blah for so much at this other joint."  They will kindly tell you that they only sell jewelry made from high quality materials.  If you know anything about your body you will know that punching a hole in it, then stuffing something made of questionable materials is a BAD idea.  All their stuff is internally threaded (google it, you'll see why it's better) and highly polished to make sure it doesn't irritate you.  If you want to be a cheapskate, you probably should not be getting pierced or tattooed.  Would you go in to a doctor and ask him to cut corners?  No, because it would be bad for your health.  That's why you pay more to make sure your piercings and tattoos are don't right.

I know lots of people here really like Chris, however I'm not a big fan of him because I have old piercings in my ear that he stretched out despite the fact that I told him they were half closed and weren't done properly the first time.  Could have been a simple mistake, but he also pierced a friend of mine (a man) in a VERY sensitive place (if ya know what I mean) and did it WRONG. That alone makes me leery of the guy.  However, I have had him do some piercings that turned out to be done well, so I guess for me, it's a mixed bag with him.

Anyway, Tigger is great!  Best piercer ever!  She has done my tongue, nose, and ears several times and I love her.  She's always super friendly and informative.

I agree that the counter staff can be catty (I don't look like your average customer either Stephanie K!), but I usually just ignore their attitude. Lately, the staff seems to have been replaced anyway so it's been much better.  There is a youngish guy in there who is super nice.

They're spendy but worth it.  And hey, if you're gonna punch a hole in you or have something engraved in your skin, you want it to be good right?  You get what you pay for here folks!

I took my daughter here to get her ears pterced for her birthday. She has unusual earlobes, and Chris knew exactly how to pierce them right. Very good, expert service.

I am a little torn about this place. The piercer, Chris, is hilarious and good at his job, but the woman with the insect tattoo on her chest is a raging bitch. I get that I don't look like the typical person who frequents tattoo shops, I probably look like a rich, yuppie bitch, but you don't need to judge me for that. I actually have quite a few tattoos, none of which are publicly displayed, and none of them are tramp stamps or stupid Chinese symbols.

The girl was rude from the start and even let four people get pierced before she even bothered to look up and ask if I was ready. After the piercing she was giving me attitude because I told her about the $5 off coupon I saw and Yelp and she didn't know about it.

And then the price...$82 for getting my ears pierced, nothing fancy, just the basic piercing is expensive!

I love Chris, but other than that, I probably would have been better off going to some place like Claire's.

This place is great. Ive been getting pierced and whatnot since '96, lived with a professional piercer, etc etc so I know what to expect at these types of businesses.

The staff was very friendly, and went out of their way to accommodate me and answer my questions. All of their jewelry was high quality, and the work areas were very clean. My piercer (Tigger) re-pierced my lip, and did an excellent job. It was not all that painful and everything was lined up straight. She was very personable and did a good job going over the proper aftercare.

Edited to 4 stars rather than 5. Went back 2 weeks later to have my piercing resized. They told me at the counter $10. While I was sitting there waiting, I read the sign that tells you to tip, and on there it says resizes (and a couple other services) are free. wtf? Got up and left, went home and did it myself. switching out jewelry only takes about 30 seconds anyways, not like I haven't done it before. Oh well.

I am a fan of this establishment. Truly. The people are extraordinarily personable, their collection of jewelry is nice (especially if you're a fan of non-metal options for the larger ornament, etc. and let's face it- who isn't? ;)), and they are very knowlegable.

I had my septum re-stretched here, and even though I've been to quite a few shops, this is the one I'd return to if I ever wanted to take it up another notch.

Price range 'moderate' you say? That's what you get when you refuse to sell anything sub-par.

Don't let the strip mall exterior turn you away! Just enjoy that you're on Monroe and have a parking spot, you ungreatful pincushion!
