If you are looking to get a high quality, custom tattoo in Asheville, Kimi Leger is the artist for you.  She is super professional, super sweet, super talented.  Her personal tattoo parlor in Hyphen is located in a private room separate from the coffee shop.  There are 2 strategically placed windows that if left open, allow you to see the surrounding atmosphere while having your tattoo done.  It also allows others to watch Kimi as she transforms your body into a work of living art.  Of course there are blinds that can be closed if you desire more privacy.  Nothing but good vibes here.  The whole experience was intimate, comfortable, and relaxed.  Kimi tattoos by appointment only.  She is easy to talk to, friendly, and flexible.  Highly recommended!

We had an hour wait for breakfast but the hostess suggested the Hyphen Coffeehouse around the corner so we could have some coffee and a pastry while we waited. Very good suggestion!
Good variety of coffee at very reasonable prices. The basic cup of coffee was only $1.
The atmosphere was very inviting and they had live music on a Sunday morning. The owners have puts a lot into making this a cozy place.
    Recommended.

Really attractive venue in a busy, interesting part of town. The wide open front makes this one of the best places in the area for people-watching!

Dropped into Hyphen today on a whim, not realizing they had only opened this week! After trying a delicious "Maya Riviera" (that's dark roast coffee and foamed milk with vanilla, cinnamon, cocoa powder, and cayenne) I'll be rooting for this coffeehouse - which is also a yoga studio and tattoo parlor.

    Highlights:
    - Storefront windows open to Patton Avenue for breezes and great people watching.
    - Signature drinks are innovative but (if mine is any indication) well-balanced.
    - Comfortable furnishings, with two small bars and a lovely window seat.
    - Additional, spacious seating is in the next room, where the yoga studio and tattoo parlor are also located - nice and sunny in there, and it's not like you HAVE to watch people get inked while enjoying your drink.
    - Nice, non-invasive tunes.

I'll have to have a few more visits before I feel confident in a five-star rating; however, I'd definitely recommend Hyphen based on this visit.
