The location of this shop is quite sketch, but what do you expect? It is Riverside after all. But overall, this place is quite special to me since I got my first non-lobe piercing here.

The piercer was accommodating to the fact that this was my first real piercing, so he was very patient and calmed my nerves. The piercing procedure was very quick and the piercer religiously changed his gloves each time he grabbed different tools.

The quality of the ball closure ring of my helix piercing wasn't very good; but again, it was only 20 dollars, so I got what I paid for.

I initially chose to come here based on the fact that Big Mike's portfolio looked fabulous and that the deposit was only $50-pretty cheap compared to most other places. If I were to rate Big Mike on artistic ability, I'd give him a 5, but in terms of customer service, it was completely not what I expected it to be- it was HORRIBLE. I walked in the first day telling him of my idea of having a particular phrase tattooed on my inner arm and he responded with a blank (almost mean) look on his face and said "I don't know what that is". What is there to not get?? It's a p h r a s e. Words?  I re-explained and he whipped out a tattoo font book for me to look through and after figuring out which font to use (which was by the way VERY very limitied-only 5 different fonts at most), I made my appointment for the following week. I drove out the next week excited for my tattoo and he showed me his drawing of it and it was (partially) done wrong! I was very disappointed and straight up said that it couldn't work and if he could re-draw it. He said for me to come back the FOLLOWING week (1 whole week to redraw a little & sign? shoot.) I came back the following week and it was FINALLY done right. That night, I came 10-15 minutes earlier and Big Mike responded to me with a really mean look on his face and said "I'm not ready for you, you're too early". Really, too early? At least I'm 10-15 on TIME yeesh. But whatevs, my tattoo turned out looking lovely and while he was working on my tat, he FINALLY had a slightly chill (but short) convo with me. Finally. Tho for sure I will NEVER be returning-never felt so spoken down to in my life, my money could go elsewhere. Oh and for note, the inside looks hella shady. Just saying.

My friend and I went here to get our bellybuttons pierced, and I was really impressed by the prices. $30 for the piercing, the jewelry, and the cleaning stuff. However, the jewelry stained my skin, and now there's a pretty ugly scar, and I had to take my piercing out a month ago because the piercing was starting to close up. My friend's boyfriend said maybe he didn't pierce enough skin, which is probably true since the hole was so close to my actual bellybutton. The piercer didn't clean the jewelry either.

Basically, decent price, but not a great piercing job.
