I went here to get a very simple piercing, a stud in my nose.I asked if they did piercings,a guy named 'Pegger' said yes. Apparently they don't do piercings, because when it became embedded in my flesh, he said "well we haven't had a piercer in about a year, I'm a tattoo artist"... Then don't stick a f** needle in my face!!. I bled a lot, he claimed I might be diabetic??? What does that mean? He also claimed it didn't work because my nose was too fat and that maybe I just didn't have luck with piercings?? Fat girls get piercings all the time dude, it shouldn't be a problem.
He also claimed that this has never happened before, which apparently it has because there is a yelp review that sounds EXACTLY like my experience.
I asked him to put a longer stud in, and he said they didn't carry it and it was the owner's fault (whose name he refused to give me) who just "refuses to come to the shop and is never on time for his appointments and  never orders jewelry".... yeah fucking right. Maybe if you didn't suck ass at your job you wouldn't be to much of a pussy to mention your bosses name. BTW this guy had a shitty nautical star tattoo on his face, if he can't stick a needle straight I wouldn't be surprised if he wasn't heavy handed while tattooing!!!
DO NOT GO HERE. THERE ARE TONS OF OTHER PLACES THAT HAVE PIERCERS THAT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING!!!!!!
Ryan! Ryan! Ryan! Where do I even begin. I've been wanting this Halloween tattoo ever since I was in my early 20's. I walked in one night and discussed it with you. I gave you my ides and my printed out pictures and VOILA!!.....You came up with THEE dopest design ever. Adding in cool details I never would've ever have even thought about. Some how you crept into my mind and saw what I've been visualizing for the better part of 18 years and I couldn't be more impressed or pleased with the work you did. Thanks for an incredible job well done and I'll be seeing you soon to get started on the other side of my chest.....You! Are! The! Beezneez! (I uploaded a pic of your awesome talent)
Review Source:I came here around my 18th birthday to get my first tattoo and for that reason Inkers always has a place in my heart haha.
My artist, Richie, did a great job on my first tattoo and a year later I got another tattoo from him which was an even larger color piece that I also really love. Â The style is great, and the color remains vibrant today. Â
Great experience, and I'll need to revisit soon because I'm craving some fresh ink!
Popped in on a spontaneous desire for new ink. Everyone was super cool, super friendly, but booked. Totally chill, I was honestly there to price what I wanted. Ryan popped out from the back, asked me what I wanted, and told me he could do it right then if I wanted. Thing is, I wanted the same font as my baby sister's chest tattoo, who lives in Seattle. Within minutes, he sketched up a tattoo from a pic on my phone!
Very cool, very professional. It was only my second tattoo and first one I could watch being done (first ink was on my back) and I was totally at ease. Aftercare instructions were clear and very simple.
Bottom line, I came to Inkers on the recommendation of my cousin, who has gotten all of his ink done here since my mom recommended them back in the day, and I'll be coming back for all future ink!
Got two tattoo's done here. Great service! Friendly artists who really want to know and understand what you're getting. They reassure what they're going to do is what you want, very professional, and they'll tell you their honest opinion about what you want.
Too bad, Shredder (one of the guys that did my tattoo's), no longer works there anymore. He has a really great hand and eye. Their pricing there is awesome/reasonable. They are NOT shady at all. Glad someone showed me this place, I'm gonna try to keep coming back here.
I went into Inkers to get my lip pierced. Apparently that's why they are called "Inkers" because they should have nothing to do with PIERCING needles. The guy who worked there was not very friendly, seemed like he just didnt give a shit about much of anything. The piercer was young, but so am I, so I didnt let that scare me. Gave him a shot. He took my fourty bucks, told me to lay on the table.
He didnt really know what he was doing apparently, because immediately after I left the shop, I noticed that my lip stud was way too far up on the inside of my lip. He pierced it at a very extreme upward angle, which I know is not how it is to be done, after having it REpierced at Aztec Tattoo. (Go Aztec!!) Â He gave me really half assed after care instructions, and I just had an all around shitty experience.
So $40.00 later, a messed up lip, and the rights to shoot a dirty look Inker's way when I drive by every day - I learned my lesson. Please, if you care about your skin, go somewhere with employees who also care for it.
I got my eyebrow pierced here this weekend after finding it on Yelp. The place was really cool, and conveniently close to SDSU. I walked in Friday around 7pm and had to wait 10 or 15 minutes, so I played on their pool table with my friends! The vibe was cool and I enjoyed "The Zephyr Song" playing while I got pierced. The piercing was quick, clean, and felt about the same as getting a shot at the doctor's office. $40. All in all, a great experience. I'm taking one star off because I wanted a black ring, but they didn't have any, so I got a silver one. No big deal, I'm cool with what I got, but still.
Review Source:After picking up a rather large deposit on a paint job yesterday, the PSYCHO EX was itching for a new tattoo. Â "Please, baby," he pleaded. Â "It's been four months... it's the longest I've ever gone without getting SOMETHING done!" Â I gave up trying to internally calculate how much bare skin he would, at this rate, have left within the next couple of years and agreed. Â
I live in the College area, so we trolled El Cajon Blvd and I suggested Inker's (I'd had a bit of touch-up work done here years ago). Â Clean shop, mellow music, cool black and red paint job, good art on the walls, and the staff here are kick-ass. Â Like the reviewer below, we worked with Captain Dan, a young but accomplished artist, SDSU-educated, who carefully drew up and positioned the PSYCHO EX's knuckle tattoos. Â According to the client (also a professional tattoo artist): Â "Very professional, reasonably priced, courteous, efficient, knowledgeable of the industry, very clean, almost painless, looks great." Â
I should add that Dan had just returned from picking up a sandwich, and despite our protests, refused to take time for lunch when he had a client waiting! Â Really an awesome artist with a lot of passion for his craft... totally makes the customer feel like number one!!!
So... five stars! Â And we were able to walk right in, an added plus. Plenty of street parking, during the day, at least. Â Great place to get tattooed.
