John Hashey's School is outstanding, I traveled from across the country to study with him and I can honestly say he is the most amazing Permanent Makeup Artist and Instructor in the world hands down. He works on cancer survivors for free daily and the classroom was as clean as any doctor's office I have visited. I trained at another school and learned more in two days then the entire three weeks at the other school.
Mr. Hashey also corrected the horrible permanent makeup that was applied to my face by this other horrible school. Not only did I learn more than I thought possible his equipment is warrantee for life and he custom fit it to my hands that have arthritis. It was amazing to watch him work on burn victims and how he blended color into the skin with results I never thought could be achieved. I cannot say enough about this man and his generosity to others and knowledge light years ahead. I was present when he was interviewed and featured in the New York Times, he has so many articles there is no more space to put them on the wall. I spent six hundred hours at his school and never paid another dime after the first five days of training. My cost per hour came out to four dollars and thirty cents an hour before his cost. I am proud to say I am a graduate of the finest school in the United States and his school is licensed by the Board of Education. Highly recommend you train with this master!

John Hashey isn't a fraction as talented and knowledgable as he thinks he is. His work is not very good, and he doesn't understand makeup or color. Â If he understands anything, he doesn't teach it. Â He is also a very lazy teacher, and seems to not care at all if you learn anything after he gets your money. Â If you can even get him to answer an email, you're lucky. He is terribly greedy, and basically forces the student to buy his overpriced equipment. Â His website makes him look like a doctor or something, but he's actually just some guy who does tattoo that thought he could make some money from permanent makeup. His "school" is just a room in his tattoo parlor that's in some run-down shopping strip. His "reference material" is so poorly written, it's difficult to understand. He is also crass and rude, and every student I've spoken to complains about his gruff, bigoted behavior. Â I'm embarrassed to give him even one dollar. Â Don't waste your money or time on this guy, he doesn't want to spend his time on you either. Complete waste of money and time.
