Went here for my first tattoo. Brought in a picture of my concept and Marcus worked around what i wanted and even made it better. Went in the day of my tattoo and left very very happy. The staff is very friendly and does a damn good job. I left a picture of my tattoo in the photos section(black wings). Marcus was very personable and made my first tattoo a good experience. I highly recommend this tattoo parlor.
Review Source:I got my first tattoo here yesterday and I could not have asked for a better experience!! A great sign was a longtime friend of mine recommended Laguna Tattoo even though it has been 15 years since she got her tattoo here.
I knew what I wanted but was unsure of how to have it drawn. I showed Steve two pictures and he went in the back and returned with EXACTLY what I was hoping for. He was so patient, funny and kind. There were other customers there who put me at ease also and said it was the only place they would come for tattoos. (They had beautiful ones done there) Steve did an amazing job and I would recommend the shop to anyone, whether it's your first or tenth tattoo!
It's spotless, the artists are courteous and meticulous, and the prices are extremely fair. I can't stop admiring Steve's work and I am excited to "enjoy forever"!
My husband and I had talked about getting matching tatoos for years. Â We decided that it would be a good time during a weekend getaway in Laguana. Â Devin took such great care of us when we walked into Laguna Tatoo without an appointment. Â He designed exactly what we wanted, and cleaned up the lines on an older tatoo. Â The shop was wonderful!
Review Source:I have been coming to Laguna Tattoo for many years, and I will never go anywhere else. Â Not only are they extremely professional, but their art work is beautiful. Â I came back recently to get a few of my older tattoos a touch up and Stephen did a beautiful job, and of course I added a few more:). Â If you want professional talented artist's who do an excellent job then Laguna Tattoo is where you need to go.
Review Source:After reading all these great online reviews, I stopped by Laguna Tattoo on vacation to check it out for a small fix-up on one of my simpler tattoos. The shop was busy, but Steve took the time to chat with me, check out my tattoo idea and invite me back the next day. Â The price quoted was fair and, in fact, less than what I had anticipated paying. When I came back, I felt very much at ease with the unhurried pace of the shop and felt confident with how the tattoo would turn out because of the time and attention to detail that Steve had in clarifying my concept with me. Â It's a small thing, but in other shops I've noticed that since none of my other tattoos are usually visible, I get treated like I'm not a serious customer. However, I felt very welcomed at Laguna Tattoo. Â
What really made this experience for me was actually what happened when I went off with my fresh ink, sat with it through lunch and realized within a few hours that despite Steve's careful questions, the tattoo wasn't quite how I had wanted it to be. Â This had absolutely nothing to do with Steve's considerable talent and everything to do with how precisely (or not) I had explained the concept to him. Embarrassed, I went back to the shop and asked if he could tweak it a bit more-- he did so without a fuss and without charging me extra. I appreciated Steve's polite, respectful and professional demeanor throughout the whole process, and would definitely go to him for a more elaborate piece the next time I am in the area.
I went in with my dad to get matching tattoos a few weeks ago. Â The tattoo itself was to be an exact copy of an almost minuscule heart drawn by my mother on an old card. Â Steve did both of the tattoos and they look amazing! They look exactly like the original image and exactly like each other. Â This tattoo was very important to us and were both very happy with the establishment. Â It was both of our first tattoos and Steve was very helpful in calming our nerves, especially my hesitant father's! If you're looking to get a tiny, delicate tattoo, Steve is great. The lines are clear and intricate just like I wanted despite the small size (smaller than a penny) He even gave us a discount because they were so small and we were both getting one. Â I would definitely come back for another!!
Review Source:I've been getting tattooed at Laguna for 14 years. Since Lindsey left to go elsewhere a while back I've had both Brian and Steve do work for me, all have been great. The shop is mellow even though there's tourist traffic outside. Even my parents have come to hang out when I go in. But it's important to note that you can't bring a whole group of friends with you when you go - the shop is small. I'm always getting complimented on my tattoos, even on ones that I've had for many years.
I don't live in California anymore, but when I'm in town I actually make my plans around getting work done if I have a new piece I want. I simply have no interest in going to anybody else.
Do not ever go here, I was on vacation and went in and had Brian Taylor tattoo 3 diamonds going down my arm, normally I research a place before I go in but I figured it was such a simple tattoo what could go wrong. Im not pleased with it at all, the lines are not even straight and his shading is horrible, I could have drawn better diamonds, and on top of that he charged me 140 for a tattoo that took 5 minutes, I'm getting this tattoo removed in a week. HORRIBLE artist. Beware, spend your money else where
Review Source:I now have 4 tattoos from this estiblashiment.  My first one done at random just after gettting divorced, (your typical rose on the ankle). Since then, Steve Crome has done all of my other tats and has treated me so well, always making sure I am comfortable and handling the pain. Come on now,,,,we all experience some level of pain. Planning on going in on Sunday to show him my  idea of my . final tat that I plan on ever getting....a tribute to my Mom,,,,one I can share with her while she is still alive. Steve  is such an amazing artist and human being. Thanks Steve for all your art work.
Steve and I met while I was and still am, working at Canyon Animal Hospital in Laguna Beach taking care of his amazing dog. Â Gone on any cave explorations lately See you on Sunday. Kat.
Headed down from Los Angeles over the weekend to get a tattoo from Steve at Laguna Tattoo. I was very impressed with everything about the experience, which began a few weeks ago with me giving him a few elements that I wanted to include in my tattoo. He came back to me quickly with two different designs, making sure to check the spelling on the banners, and was very accommodating when I needed a change to the design.
When the moment of truth came, I walked into the shop and was impressed. The shop is immaculate, well-organized, and there's a lot of really great vintage flash on the wall that my friend and I enjoyed looking at as we waited for him to get everything ready. I watched out of the corner of my eye as he took all the necessary universal precautions, and was very happy with what I saw.
My tattoo took about two hours, during which he was friendly and talkative. Good music playing while he worked. :-) During the last half hour, I became Pansy Girl and approached my pain threshhold. He was very patient and allowed me to take a short break and stretch my legs.
I am extremely happy with the end result, as well as the price (keeping in mind that good tattoos aren't cheap and cheap tattoos aren't good!), and I recommend Laguna Tattoo to ANYONE in Orange County and the surrounding area. Don't waste your time with anyone else. :-)
Cool place. I got both of my tattoos here and am always being complimented on it. Steve did my tattoo and he is awesome. The details on my tattoo are very intricate. Â Steve is real laid back and makes you feel comfortable. The place is clean and on PCH with a nice ocean breeze if you step outside.
I want to go back for more tattoos. My brother and a friend of mine also had theirs done there.
Sadly, the artist that did my tattoo does not work here anymore, but I couldn't let the best little tattoo shop go with only one review.
This place is clean, professional, eclectic, intimate, and focused on tattoos only- no piercings. Â The ink is high-quality, and the artists are wonderful. Â I worked closely with mine and we emailed ideas back and forth, until one day he emailed me the perfect drawing that I was proud to wear on my body as art. Â I loved this place so much I even asked them if they needed a receptionist! Â I would definitely recommend Laguna Tatoo for anyone considering going under the needle.
