Getting a tattoo is not a spur of the moment decision, or is it? Â Typically most people like to do some research on the shop, artist, design, etc...well, unless you are drunk of course.
I have been looking for a good shop in the Orlando/Tampa area for over a year now, and by chance, I was planning on going to Ybor for my wife's b-day. Â We did a search on "tattoo ybor" Â Would you believe there are literally more than 20 shops in the area. Â Decisions, decisions right?
The Yelp page for Las Vegas Tattoo was a little scarce, so I took a look at there facebook and actual websites, and that is when i realized that this was my shop, and Fish was my artist. Â His work is so amazing and does the best photo realism tattoos that I have seen. Â We decided that we were going to get couples tattoos.
My wife and I walked in and were greeted by Doc, the owner, and a very nice guy. Â He kind of reminds me of senior from American Chopper. Â We explained to him what we were looking for and showed him a few pics and he immediately began to sketch the designs.
Fish then took the designs and made some imprints for a lock for my wife, and a key for me. Â They were incredibly realistic. Â She decided to go first and was done in less than 50 minutes, and mine took about 45. Â I am extremely happy with the results and professionalism of Las Vegas Tattoo Co. Â
They have earned a customer for life!

Three of us girls went to LVTC to get three very different tattoos. We went in for an 8pm appointment on a Friday night. Belle helped me make the appointment, and she was extremely nice and exceptionally accommodating. We arrived and one of the artists, Fish, immediately started chatting with me about my tattoo (based on a photo I had emailed to them the day before). He was patient, friendly, and all around awesome! His work is AH-Mazing! (You can check out his portfolio on the website). My friends were also both extremely satisfied with their pieces and the service they received! We had a great night with everyone at LVTC and I will definitely go back there for my next tat! Professional, kind, fun, and great artists!
Review Source:This was a long time comin'! I wanted to get the "petite" tats on my left arm brought together and freshened up. I also wanted to look for a new artist as I had relocated to Tampa Bay from the DC Metro area. I did a lot of research as I didn't need a rookie to practice on me and my first tat was done by an "inexperienced" boy! After much study, I was drawn to Mike Parsons. I loved his work, the colors, his chrome technique, his creativity and imagination. Now I had to take it to the next level.
I emailed Mike and let him know what I was looking for. I ended up stopping by his home base at Las Vegas Tattoo Co. in Ybor City, Tampa. We talked and I left with an appointment and was pumped.
When I met my appointment, we sat and talked about what to do. I emailed him earlier with an idea for a coverup but he advised me about the restrictions due to the ink and location. We mulled over the alternatives, and he actually told me that we could reschedule. I appreciated that. Then he said, "Wait," took out a Sharpie and started drawing on my arm. He showed me his concept and I let him run with it. This artist caught a vision. Do you really think I would not jump on that? Flash is great but an inspired artist's work is on higher ground.
Mike took to the needle, and when he finished, I truly didn't realize what he had done. He reworked my logo and the infinity sign, framed my Apache weave in a leather banner, and added a sea of red (very symbolic of the Nebraska football fans.) The logo never looked that good. Check out my photos. My left arm had taken on a new look and I loved it. Mike and I rocked to Ozzy, Deep Purple, and introduced me to a new sound in Jake LaBotz while he inked me. Bonus, Baby! Dude inked with a rhythm! Seriously!
My experience was more than i asked for. I felt bad about having a true artist do touch up on me but Mike said there is more canvas there to make up for it! :) I cannot wait for my next session with more original work from Mike. Mike Parsons, you are the Man!
I can also tell you that everyone was great at Las Vegas Tattoo Co. I look forward to a long friendship. Much respect to you all and thanks for a great experience!
