  I have been to numerous shops around Long Island, and none have ever presented such a clean and professional atmosphere.  The artists are all very helpful and good at what they do.  Out of the 4 artists that work in the shop, 3 have done tattoos on me and I could not be happier.  If you are looking for good, professional work, done by people who love what they do then this is the shop for you!!!

  While the Smithtown community was apprehensive about a Tattoo Shop on Main Street, Liberty Tattoo Company adds a clean artistic environment that fits right in. My Husband & I have been clients of Dan Lavery's for some years now, and when we heard he opened his own shop we had high expectations, and all of those expectations were fulfilled completely. The tattooers are of upmost quality. Their skill level surpasses those of most shops. Any walk in would feel welcome and should know they are in good hands. The traditional feel of the shop is what I like most, the fact that it is not gimmicky or intimidating is great. You don't feel like you are at a carnival or in a grimy dark place - Liberty Tattoo Company is a large space of clean lines, cool colors and the buzz of tattoo guns sounding in your ears constantly. Cleanliness is not an issue, everything is sterilized and safe. If you are serious about getting a quality tattoo, there is only one place I recommend to my friends & family, and that is Liberty Tattoo Company in Smithtown.

  A great local business to say the least! This studio is clean, and professional. I have been following artist/owner Dan Lavery's work since I was 18. The work that comes out of this shop is truly expert. High detail and quality inks are put into even the smallest pieces. Friendly staff are always available to answer your questions or show you a binder containing there work. If you are looking to add to your collection, or start a new piece I highly recommend you step foot in the studio or check them out on Facebook.

  Got my first tattoo here by suggestion of a friend that has gotten seven tattoos from the owner Dan Lavery. The shop is very clean and open, all the artists are very helpful and friendly. I had Dan do my tattoo which turned out wonderfully and just as expected. He is very chill and fun to joke with, but at the same time very calming and professional. I will definitely be paying him a visit again in the future. Visit them on Facebook to see some of the art they do.
