lucky duck is a pretty good place to go if you want to get a piercing. i got my nose pierced back in december of 2011 and the people that work there are very friendly and try their best to make you comfortable and less nervous. the place is pretty clean and the wall art is pretty cool to look at (but you should never get a tattoo from wall art because you will end up regretting it 98% of the time). they sell the h2Ocean for piercing and tattoo cleaning, which is convenient because you don't have to go to another store to find it. they also sell nose studs, belly button piercings, and the likes (if i remember correctly). the guy that pierced my nose and his friend that worked there were very nice and made me laugh a lot, and they also took a picture of the piercing afterwards to add to their portfolio. after the piercing they gave me a paper that explained how to clean a piercing, how often, and what to use to clean it, which i found very convenient.
the piercings are cheap (mine was $20 without tip), but as for tattoos i've never gotten one here. some people have had good luck and some have had bad. unless it's a tattoo that is small and near impossible to mess up, be sure to make sure the tattoo artist know what they are doing (ask if they can draw it up for you) and ask to look at a portfolio, if they have one. all in all, i would come back if i decided to get another piercing.
