I went into Phat Kat to simply get a piece of jewelry for my nose piercing. I knew what I wanted and should of been a very quick transaction. Â I was not acknowledged, after a few minutes I asked if I could get a piece of jewelry. I was told I had to wait for the piercer, which was fine, but the piercer went from one person to the next, they didn't want to help me in between. It would of taken two minutes. So, I walked out. Â I had gone back a few days later hoping for a better outcome, again, I was not helped when I walked it. I stood at the front counter for 15 minutes, there were 3-4 people behind it, all chit chatting with other people. Never once was I acknowledged. I walked out and will never step foot in Phat Kat again. They're rude, and apparently don't know how to treat their customers. Â I am starting to hear a lot of this type of stuff from several people about this place. Â People that have in the past told me to go to Phat Kat are no longer recommending them. I will go elsewhere for my tattoo as well. Save your money and spend it else where.
Review Source:The staff here is ignorant, rude and condescending. You walk in and are greeted by people cussing and talking in a very vulgar language about anything from their sex lives to celebrities. I came here to buy some jewelry, stood there 15 minutes before being helped, even though TWO people behind the counter who were perfectly capable of helping me pretended to be busy. I watched in disgust as a customer who just smoked a cigarette was handling the jewelry and holding it up to her lip, ears, nose and belly button. When the piercer finally got around to seeing me, he left me in mid conversation to pierce someone, and I was told I could wait 30 mins to talk to him. I opted to come back later out of sheer curiosity. When I came back, it was basically the same routine. After 15 minutes of watching the piercer talk and joke around with a buddy who worked there, very obviously ignoring me, I left. I have NEVER EVER had such a horrible experience in a tattoo/piercing shop. These egomaniacs need to get off their high horse and serve the people who pay their checks.
Review Source:Go to Phat Kat if 1. You want your tattoo artist on the cell phone the whole time your tattoo is being done(personally the noise of the gun helps the pain, and hearing the artist talking to his bud about getting drunk doesn't really "put me in the mood") 2. You want work done that SUCKS. I had a large peice done on my shoulder, and I was so excited to get it and after he put the stencil on I was totally stoked...but from stencil to his actual work on skin was a shockingly bad difference. Â 3. You want to overpay for SHITY work. I am all for paying for a good tattoo, but I paid $900 for something that looks like I paid $10 to a guy in the alley.
My tattoo sucks, I'm stuck with it for life. Thanks Phat Kat
