this is really like a 2.5 star place. i feel like its 2 stars but deserves better than that. anyway, i went in today to get my cartilage pierced and the place is kind of dingy but i didn't really mind. when i got it pierced i don't think he even cleaned my ear beforehand. i told him i wanted it to be an 18 gauge stud but he kept insisting that it be 16 gauge and he wouldn't let me get an 18 g piercing! its my piercing not his! i wanted 18 g because all the jewelry i wanted for it was 18 g from http://amazon.com and he said that amazon sucked and he should've kept his opinion to himself. he wasn't very friendly and i wanted to take a video to show my friends me squirming around but he said i couldn't. i definitely didn't like the experience at all but at least it looks good. it bled but he didn't clean up the blood but i don't really care.

my dads gf also got her rook pierced and it looks great and he actually cleaned that one but still, it wasn't a very nice place but it sure beats paying $60 at blue moon for the one piercing. in the end, the total was just $40 for 2 piercings, $20 each. the cost includes jewelry so its great that its cheap and looks good. 1 star for experience and 4 for actual piercing.

Went here on Sunday with my girl . It was a slow day, OC was there and available right away. We wanted matching tattoos on our pinkies and they turned out perfect! OC was super nice, clean, and professional!! He even touched up an older tattoo for me for a good price. I went here a couple of years ago for a piercing and let me tell you, they have IMPROVED!!! Good job guys!!!!

I agree with the other yelpers on this one. Should be a ZERO rating. Went in to switch out nose piercing jewelry. I was concerned that my current jewelry was too small and was getting lost in my nose. There was one other customer ahead of me and I was willing to wait but when the guy working there asked what I needed he just pulled the jewelry out of the case and started to work on it without asking me what my concerns were. I had questions about the size and he didn't even take a moment to listen to what my issue was. All he said was 'I don't deal with other people's piercing!' We walked out of there and went straight to Blue Moon instead!

Yesterday I rushed to "Pins and Needles" to fix my ear piercing that broke out of my ear. I reach the shop by 2:15 to not be greeted by the guy working at the time. Without greeting/acknowledging me, he told me to come back in an hour when he's done with the tattoo job he was working on - Ok... understandable, I guess. I come back in an hour for him to glance at my ear and tell me that the piercing closed up - and that I'd have to wait a month for it to close up completely to get it re-pierced. BUT THE EARRING FELL OUT JUST AN HOUR AGO! HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?? The backing of the earring was still stuck to my ear. Feeling discouraged, I leave and call up a friend to vent. Going off of her advice, I google surrounding shops and found "Blue Moon". I go there and met the nicest staff ever!! A girl named Laila took great care of me and in less than 5 minutes she saved my piercing! I left from there completely satisfied and faith in humanity intact by 4:30. DO NOT GO TO PINS AND NEEDLES if you care about your time and money. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND GOING TO BLUE MOON

There is no zero stars rating. Too Bad. I got my navel pierced here.
The guy who pierced me no longer works here, thank god.
I went on my 18th birthday and was so excited that I looked over the fact that the guy looked like a tweaker. Its crooked. My navel ring sits slightly to the left. Thanks... Didn't get infected or anything but I am not happy that it is crooked and there is no way to fix it.

I have pretty neutral feelings about this place. I got my first tattoo here, and feel like I still respect it, but am not thrilled with it either. First of all, if you are going to get a tattoo in Tracy, understand that both the customer base and professionalism of the suburbs is different than a more urban area. I got a phoneix here on my upper arm that I had chosen from a sketch I found. The artist didn't put his own touch on the work at all. He did do an excellent job of staying on his lines though, and the work is still very smooth and shaded beautifully in black and gray. The design was simple but well done. The dude really didn't seem too enthusiastic about it.

I had a friend get tattooed here with me, and her symbol was inked in the WRONG COLOR! She requested black but got a medium brown colored ink. Therefore her work sticks out from the rest of her ink, like a lot. That's kind of an ameteur mistake. What happened, guys?

This place isn't bad for a place to get inked in Tracy, but I would be likely to recommend a parlor in San Francisco. It's worth the trip.

Also, I had my eyebrow pierced here, and that was great. Awesome piercer who was very friendly and right on the mark!

SOME GIRL F'd up MONROE piercing!!! i had to go to the ER when i found out one morning that my lip ring was lost in between my lip the little holes were both closed! I called Pins N Needles every week to ask them when the swelling will go down, and they kept saying "eventually". Well eventually turned into 1 1/2 months!!! (i kept cleaning it how i was told to by the owner himself!!) I went to the shop so they can see for themselves and I was told by the girl who pierced my lip to go to the ER and i did not want to go b/c i did not have insurance.

When i got my $600 bill from the hospital i sure took it to P&N's and made sure they paid for it. One of the girls that worked there paid half the bill and the other girl that actually pierced my lip was fired b/c one of the girls said that she messed up a girls NOSE piercing as well.

What i dont understand is HOW is the owner hiring girls that dont know how to pierce????????!! THIS IS NOT A SAFE PLACE TO GET ANYTHING PIECED!!!!!!

I have been here a few times. The first was to get my friend's nipple pierced, another for jewelry which they said they had when I spoke with them over the phone, but when I got there ( ALL THE WAY FROM LIVERMORE ) they didn't have it, and lastly on my 23rd birthday to get my trigus pierced.

I recommended this place to my friend because I heard it was good/the price was right. His nipple piercing healed perfectly!

The place is in need of some serious deep cleaning and maintenance!

I went and got a tattoo here about 4 months ago, I think it was maby March... Anyways, I got a black panther on my hip, came out nice, I cannot recall the person who did my tat though.
Inside has a very gothic, dark feel to it, where you get the work done is very "sterile" looking, I didnt like the fact that when I was getting tattooed, about 3 girls came in for their belly button piercing, they were a little younger and quite annoying. so it is not the most private of enviornments. Overall, the work was good, not the best in the world, but the cost was affordable for sure
they have parking lot which is nice so no need for street parking
also a vast selection to choose from on designs

This is where I got my first 2 tattoos back in 2005. I like the atmosphere, it's decorated like a medieval castle inside. Their music can be a little loud and probably annoying if you're not into heavy metal, but it's no big deal.

The only gripe I have is with the owner. He may be the man in charge, but it seems his employees tattoo better than him. My boyfriend got work done from him quite a few times, which have all been mediocre. Good quality, but not great. Let's just say we go to a new tattoo place now.

It's clean, very clean, superbly clean.
Also, the guys are cool with telling you which other local shops have had cleanliness issues.

They seem to act too cool, though. I felt like a dork two years ago when I got my first tat. I wanted something different. I wanted something to represent my kids. They did a fine job, but still gave me the "too cool for you" vibe.

Whatever. Reasonably priced, good quality work, good after care info, VERY CLEAN
