about 3 years ago Heidi did my left full sleeve. we spent many an hour together that summer. Â She is calm and intelligent, focuses on you and has a way of making you feel so comfortable. Her art is unbelievable. she is one of the best true artists i have ever me. Jayme has been working on my right full sleeve and I am just as happy with his work and personality. It is very important for me to feel comfortable and not be annoyed by obnoxious music or flighty distracted personalities. This studio has always been focused, professional and welcoming. You feel like you belong there. Â As for safety, cleanliness and professionalism this shop has the most i have ever seen and i have been to 5 other shops in sacramento for work. The price is comparable to other shops yet your final product is always worth so much more.
Review Source:Came here to get my tattoo reworked as I was unhappy with it. I got it a couple years before at a different location. I made an appointment with Jayme, his next appointment wasn't for a couple of months but it was well worth the wait. He was really great about listening to my ideas and gave me great suggestions. He spent a good amount of time making sure the placement of the new part would fit well with my existing tattoo and was all around a really awesome guy. It was a really great experience and I am in love with my tattoo now. As long as I live in the sacramento area I will get all my work done from him. Oh, and the entire shop is nicely decorated and clean.
Review Source:They don't take appointments by phone because you have to make a deposit so if you're not in the area, you'd have to walk in like I did, or maybe ask if you can mail in a check or something. They all charge $120 an hour. Know ahead of time that Heidi is usually booked a couple months in advance.
I got my first tattoo here and the artists aren't intimidating and make you feel comfortable. Heidi saw my friend standing watching me get tattooed and she grabbed a chair for her. At one point the light bulb went out and Corey said "Whoa!" which I guess sounded bad and Jaimie came rushing over there lol. At least I know if I passed out or something there would be people there right away to help!
I had Corey do my tattoo, which had a lot of lines, and he was very careful and took his time trying to make them straight. He would constantly tattoo, stop, step back, have a look, tattoo again, stop, step back and have a look. It took him nearly an hour but he only charged me $60, which my best friend paid for lol. He was very nice and easy to talk to. He wasn't heavy handed at all.
I still need to get my tattoo retouched a little bit but haven't had the time to go there. I know I can get retouched for free but didn't know it was for life! That's pretty sweet!
By the way, they use porous dri-loc bandages to cover the tattoos; no saran wrap. Corey told me that saran wrap traps in bacteria, which makes a lot of sense. I know that you won't have it covered for long but why use saran wrap when there's something safer? It's just more expensive for tattoo shops to buy bandages versus a roll of saran wrap and I guess some don't want to put out that extra money.
Since finding this place, I've had two other people come here for large pieces but they worked with Heidi. My friends have told me that they want to go to Pretty in Ink next time they want tattoos :)
