I'm straight up going to let Jon Murray tattoo my entire body. Not only is his tattoo work phenomenal, but his art outside of tattooing is astounding. That's saying a lot. Please take the time to check out his portfolio.

Great artists and environment. Jon Johnson and Jon Murray are amazing artists, each with their own style. Steve, the piercer, is excellent as well. The rest of the staff, including those in the store, are really helpful. They also have the largest selection of body jewelry in the city. One of the best shops in Milwaukee for sure.

The year, 2006. I was 20 years old and dating someone who I thought I was completely in love with. We went to Starship to get a matching tattoo. He would get half a heart, I would have the matching piece.

They charged us 120 dollars for a god damn heart. And my awesome boyfriend at the time didn't have a job so I got stuck fronting the bill.

The female tattoo artist proceeded to make fun of my skin when it got really red while she was tattooing it, and flirted with my boyfriend while working on his.

Suffice to say, I never returned.

Moral of this story? Never get tattooed in a shop that sells clothes and does tattoos.

Also, don't get tattoos with boys when you are 20.
