Everyone in my family has been tattooed by Jonas. My son and I got infinity signs and my husband a half sleeve in memory of my daughter who recently passed. Not only is Jonas an amazing artist, the conversation was great too (not your normal hardcore biker tattoo artist). We will definitely be using Jonas for future tats.
Review Source:Lucky is an incredible tattoo artist. Â My husband went in last week with an idea of getting a tattoo in remembrance of his brother who passed away Tuesday from Lymphoma and Lung Cancer. Â Lucky took his idea and made it an AWESOME piece of art that he wears proudly on the back of his left calf. Â When I saw the ink I knew I had to have Lucky do mine. I've been wanting one for 3 years in remembrance of my mother who also died from Lung Cancer. So Saturday I took my idea into Lucky and he made my idea an amazing piece of art. It turned out even better then I could every imagine. Even though it was painful it was a wonderful experience. I will be back for more. I would recommend The Studio and Lucky to everyone who wants to put a little beauty on their body.
Thank you Lucky for the beautiful ink..
I had wanted to get a belly button piercing for a while, so I did a lot of research and settled on The Studio (mainly based on a recc from a friend who had tattoos done here). Â I called in and got an appointment the same day (I was really surprised to get seen so quickly). Â I came in and the man who greeted me turned out to be the piercer. Â He had me fill out some forms, prepped a room, and took me back. Â
Another surprise was that they have a room totally separate to use for piercings (they actually have a bunch of rooms); this is super nice because it made me feel more relaxed, and I didn't have to show my whole belly to everyone in the studio. Â He could probably tell I was a bit nervous; he was really conversational, nice, and calming. Â
I could also tell that he had a loooot of experience with piercing so this was no big deal to him (which made me feel even more confident). Â He was very clean, used gloves and tools that he unwrapped in front of me...all extremely sanitary. Â Once the piercing was over, he gave me detailed care advice and said I could come in or call if I needed any help. Â The care advice was great, I never had to come in for anything, and month's later I have a healed belly button ring! Â If you need to get something pierced, definitely go to this place.
I had an amazing experience at The Studio in Roseville! I have several tattoos from shop artists all over SoCal and the best tattoo I have to date is from Jonas Lynch at The Studio. Jonas gave me a custom tattoo. I freakin LOVE it!!! He did such a great job. Super clean lines, great shading, just a great tattoo. He was professional and talented. My style of tattoo was not his specialty, however he knocked it out of the park! I highly recommend The Studio. I have had work done by both Jessi Manuel and Jonas Lynch and I am a fan!!!
Review Source:I haven't actually gotten the tat of my dreams yet but my wife and I did make an appointment for that in a few days. When we walked in we were greeted by Jonas and he asked us what we wanted so we showed him the pictures we had made up. He answered all our questions about price, ease of the design length of time, etc. Which is more than I can say for the other places we have asked. After finding out we would not be able to get the work done in time for or other plans Jonas took the time to look at the shops schedules and found a free time where there were 2 artist in at the same time with the same appointment time open. I will update this review after my tat is done and give my review of the work itself. As it stands: the place is immaculately clean, busy enough to let us know people are willing to come in for (more) work, and the staff has been very friendly and obliging.
ADDENDUM:
My wife and I got our Tattoos done (finally). Lucky did my tat and Jonas did my wife's tat. I was impressed with Lucky's speed and accuracy. He ended up getting it done about 20 earlier that was expected and it looks great. He did a thorough job on the piece and, being as it was my first tat, he explained what was going on during the process. The tat didn't hurt at all, which from what I was told has a lot to do with the artist. Lucky told me of  a couple of his extra-ordinary tats to pass the time and answered all my questions. After my tat was done I went and sat with my wife who was taking a lot longer since her tattoo was a pretty extensive piece. Mine took just under 2 hours. Hers was 3.5 hours. Jonas was a joy to be around, he made her feel relaxed and explained the steps to her as he went also. He also explained why he jumped from one part to another and the back again (to maintain the colors). He let my take a break so she could take a couple swigs of soda and stretch out a bit. When he could tell she was in pain (about 2.5 hours in) he explained he had a spray that would take the pain away but it only worked for 30 minutes and when it wore off the skin would be even more sensitive so he was waiting to get to that point so he could spray it. That made my wife feel better and when he sprayed it on I could see the relief in her eyes. After all was done everyone in the room was rather impressed with my wife's tat. They said she got her bad-ass badge with this tat...lol. Should I feel emasculated? who knows. I am certain, though, that the next tat I get will be coming back here!!
The Studio Tattoos definitely ranks among the top. Â The artists were very professional and knew what they were doing. Â I got a celtic knot meshed with an eight point compass. Â The lines are very clean and straight. Â Lucky was very meticulous in his work and didn't finish until both he and I were satisfied. Â I recommend the Studio Tattoos to all who are looking and am very pleased with the artwork.
Review Source:I don't consider myself seasoned in tattoo getting at all (I only have 2) but I just love this place! I got a dragon done here by Lucky that looks pretty damn amazing. The Studio is clean, has a nice layout, and is not as expensive as Something Wicked Tattoos down the street.
Tattoos here are gonna run you about 120 per hour, as opposed to Something Wicked where it is 150 an hour.
Lucky was awesome and is a seasoned tattoo artist veteran with years of experience, and I will definitely be coming back!
I've been researching my newest tatoo for a while and picked an image by one of my favorite artists, Audrey Kawasaki. I was a bit apprehensive to have it recreated onto my body because I didn't want to compromise any of its perfection. I finally decided to go with The Studio because of all the great reviews, and luckily they had time for a walk in. Going in everyone was super friendly and stoked off the image and Melissa Funk was the lucky one who decided to tackle the image. She was so sweet, very calming, chatted with me throughout the whole tattoo and made me feel extremely comfortable. She adapted the painting into a tatoo beautifully and I really couldn't say anything other than this tattoo is perfect. I will definitely be a regular of hers going forward!! Thank you Melissa!!
Review Source:I chose this shop, because my wife got her first tattoo here over last summer. Â I made an appointment with Brandon, who ended up having another appointment that ran late. Â Jonas, who tattooed my wife (and did a great job), called me and offered to take my appointment. Â He also got me in more than three hours earlier than my original appointment.
Jonas tattooed the emblem for my '61 Mercury Comet on my upper arm. Â He did a very detailed job. Â Since my skin takes so well to white ink, he added some tremendous highlights. Â I'm very pleased, and I'll most likely be going back in to see him for some little flourish tattoos to cap that same shoulder. Â Jonas then touched up my wife's tattoo and made it more solid and vibrant.
The shop is very clean and super friendly, which is more than I can say for other neighboring shops. Â Everybody in the shop is welcoming. Â There is no snooty, elitist attitude here. Â I love this shop! Â I'm not going anywhere else for ink work.
Brandon is AWESOME! Â My husband and daughter got matching song bird tattoos so it's a bird with music notes filling up it's body and wings, very detailed. Brandon took the drawing my daughter drew and re-created a perfect picture. Â She said it wasn't painful at all and was very pleased with the outcome. My husband hasn't had a new tattoo for a few years and said it was a little painful but not bad. We will definitely be back there for the next one.
The shop was very clean and I saw Brandon disinfecting the chair and switching out the needle between my daughter & husbands tattoos.
I've had two tats done at this location by Melissa, and I must say that I certainly was NOT disappointed! Â The first tat was a duplicate of one I'd found on the internet and she recreated the design very nicely. Â The second one was created by me, based on a kind of "cut and paste" design which combined three pre-existing tattoos together along with a few words and some flourishes. I'm no artist by any means, and I was delighted when I saw the finished artwork that Melissa was able to create out of my pastiche..My daughter has also had work done by Melissa so on behalf of both of us, many thanks! Â We both love to show off our artwork and I am very happy to be able to give The Studio a thumbs up. Â Nice people, clean studio, good atmosphere, great artwork. Â If I ever wanted another tat or piercing done, The Studio is definitely the place I would go to.
Review Source:I'm trying to be more cautious about dishing out 5 star reviews...kind of like your freshman algebra teacher that refuses not to give anyone an A based on the principal that there is always room for improvement (wabi sabi bro), but The Studio is deserving. I dropped on twice in the last couple weeks to get work done by El Brando, and it's by far some of the best I've ever gotten. Dude just knows how to tattoo, doesn't dig super deep, great steady line work...just all around way on his game. I think the location throws some people off, but they are definitely stacked with talented artists. I'm heading back in this week to knock out a couple more pieces. Would highly recommend working with Brandon / El Brando.
Review Source:Jessi is amazing, to say the least. I love an artist that is strong and confident in their work, and Jessi was just that. I walked in off the street and told her what I wanted. I wanted to get my wrist tattooed with something that my late mother had written in a birthday card for me. I was concerned that it is the only tat that I have visible on my body 24/7, and that it needed to be perfect. Jessi assured me that she would do her best. and boy did she ever. I got to sit and watch her set up her station, was assured that everything was clean and new, signed my paper work and we were off.
The shop minimum is $60, and it took her less than 20 minutes to do my tattoo. Today it has healed nicely and I am in love with the way that it looks. I would recommend Jessi and The Studio to anyone who wants to get a tattoo. Love this place. I will be back for more.
Great work at a great price! Shop is clean and friendly. I've gotten a couple pieces from "El Brando" and have always been happy with the work.  He is always willing to work with you to get exactly what you want which is huge. I have several close friends who have gotten work from Brandon  as well and they all have been more than happy with the work. He also suports the military and as a result offers a military discount, to quote him " support the troops...tattoo the troops!". If your looking to add some artwork to yourslef this is the place to go!
Review Source:SO GLAD I FOUND THIS PLACE! JESSI IS AWESOME!
It had been a long while since I had gotten a tattoo. Jessi was amazing right from the start. I knew what I wanted, but wasn't 100% on what I wanted it to look like 'exactly', so I was open to suggestions. She was SO very accommodating, friendly, and just all around made me feel comfortable and relaxed. I recently moved to the area so I just decided to take a gamble and try this place out since it had good reviews. IM SO GLAD I DID! Now Im here telling YOU how great this place. My tattoos look AWESOME and the people that have seen them agree!! Jessi is my go to girl for my NEXT tattoo! THANK YOU JESSI!
I was hanging out with my sister in Roseville when I decided I wanted to get tattoo #5 done. So we drove and walked around old Roseville, and found this place. El Brando did my fifth tattoo. I wanted black silhouettes of Peter Pan, Wendy, and her brothers along my left forearm. It took half an hour, a bit of pain (especially when the pin got closer to the crook of my arm), and around $80+.
Review Source:Got my first tattoo done here by Jonas, I had read other reviews before coming and they seemed okay so we dropped in. We were taken care of pretty fast, staff seemed friendly. Over all a great experience, to anyone as scared as I was its really not as scary as it seems. I have kids and its not as bad as a contraction. Lol.
Review Source:Just got my first tattoo ever done by Jonas Lynch. He did an AMAZING job. I came in with a little picture on my phone of what i wanted and he drew up an amazing tattoo that i just love. He made me feel super comfortable and told me we could stop if i ever needed a break. You can tell he really loves what he does and he liked my tattoo so much he took a picture of it to post on his website. Its awesome when the artist really enjoys his work! He also does free touch ups after it heals which is great. The shop was ultra clean and everyone in there was really nice. I definitely wouldnt go anywhere else! I will definitely be back when I work up enough courage for my next one:)
Review Source:Clean. Friendly. Awesome tattoo artists.
Melissa, the owner, did my foot tattoo a few years ago and I love it so very much! Currently she is working on covering up a half sleeve that turned out horribly. We aren't finished yet, but in one session she already made it look a million times better and truly captured the vision I had for my tattoo!
Everyone in the shop is incredibly friendly and sincerely nice people. I feel very comfortable going in there and I always have a great time!
If you want an amazing piece of art, this is the right place! I was so impressed by how professional and polite they were and the clean and comfortable waiting area. If you want the absolute best in tattoo artists, ask for Melissa Funk. She is so amazing and actually listens! Â I get so many compliments!!! Thank you Melissa.
Review Source:The staff at the Studio have been great every time I've been in. I'm on my 3rd session for a large back piece with Melissa and love it. The shop is clean, colorful and very friendly. Melissa is also very friendly and knowledgeable, working with me on my tattoo through changing skin textures and pain tolerances. Â I recommend this shop highly to anyone in the Sacramento or surrounding areas for a great tattoo and friendly service from creative, talented tattoo artists.
Review Source:I went to get my nose pierced here, and I was so impressed. I'm not one for tattoos, but this place seemed like an extremely pleasant place to get some artwork done. This place is very clean too. Jonas was the guy who pierced my nose and he was so incredibly nice and made the experience way less intimidating. He also informed me about how to take care of my piercing. Not only that, but I was charged only $30. Most places charge between $40-50 for a nose piercing.
Review Source:A tattoo studio cannot get any better than this. Â It's not only a tattoo shop but an art gallery as well. LOVE! Â It's always pristine and very well organized. Â I go to Jessi for all my tattoos and I will NEVER go to anyone else. Â She is a genius with color , creative and knowledgeable in what things will look like once on your skin, etc. Â She is very laid back and every time I visit I feel comfortable hanging out there. Â
She always spends some time talking about what you want and makes it a point to give some ideas so your tattoo is unique to you. Â She drew my large rib tattoo solely based on an explanation of what I wanted and she NAILED it. Â I trust her completely and always recommend people to see her. Â Absolutely worth your time to make an appointment. Â I'd give 10 stars if I had the ability!
I was able to get into the Studio and had the luck of having Myke Frigerio do a coverup and extend my tattoo. He really worked with me to get just what I wanted. He is by far the best I have ever worked with. We discussed another tattoo that I will be getting and some how he figured out in ten minutes what I was trying to come up with for the past couple of months. This is a first rate place with first rate artists. I will go back to Myke to clean up  some other 'artist' work. My only regret is not getting more of Myke's card... I have only had this tattoo for 3 days but have had so many compliments.
Really like the feel of the studio.... Go here...
I have had two tattoos done by Myke Frigerio who works at the Studio. I have a dragon on my upper arm that is protecting a cherry blossom tree and the second I have from Myke is a dragon fly on my shoulder blade that has my sons name put into one of the wings. He is an absolutely amazing artist, and I do mean artist! I love the environment at the Studio. You are able to have fun through the whole experience. Talking to various artists about their tattoos and their artwork at the Studio also helped add to the relaxed atmosphere. If you are looking for someone to do quality work than this is the place to go and don't forget to ask for Myke! :-)
Review Source:Very clean shop with friendly artists. If you want original pieces that are designed specifically for you, this is the place. You won't find any flash on the walls, but instead artwork by local artists for sale. This place is more concerned with doing exceptional custom work than anything else.
I've been in multiple times and have had countless hours of work done by Myke. He's patient and incredibly talented. It's hard finding a good artist that always meets or even exceeds your expectations. He's one of those artists that cares more about the quality and end result than the money. You won't be disappointed.
First off... My friend and I came here to get a tat by capt lou and the shop looked clean and nice... We were excited to get our work done and so did the artist. My friend went first and he took us to a back room where she would feel more comfortable getting her butt cheek done. Everything went well until it was my turn and he acted like he wasn't planning on doing mine that day. I wanted to add to a tat i already had and it was very minimal work. So he drew the design on me and we both agreed it looked good. We went back to the room and got my work done. Now i dont know about other people but i hate needles and i was nervous. This was my 3rd tattoo and i dont know why but i felt much more pain than before. I moaning and groaning bc it hurt so bad and since we were in a room i didn't care. just as we finished this chick from inside the shop opened the door and started  saying i shouldnt be in THAT much pain to have made that much noise and that im scaring her customers away. She mentioned a massage spa next door and said im inconciderate bc theyre going to complain. She threw in some cuss words and other rude comments that i wont mention on here but i felt completely uncomfortable and wanted to JAM outta there.  I was so out of it i didnt even remember what she looked like so while i was paying i felt weird...i just knew that if i did i would have said something. To make matters worse, after we left i thought about how I didnt remember him changing the needle from my friends tattoo to do mine. I wasnt worried bc were best friends but i still felt like wtf.... i was concidering my options but decided i would just let it go...
Only positive side to this place is good ambiance and fair prices.
Awkward experience.
