FILTHY and overpriced!!!! Went in for a lip piercing ($70) first impression was it really needed to be clean, dirt and dust all over the floor. Plus for me geting pierced and tattooed is a very private and intimate thing  and from outside you can see the work station so basically you're exposed to everyone walking by (defiantly not the place to get a genital piercing) Got pierced by Bones who was pretty rude and didn't make conversation or anything.would NOT go back
Review Source:I had a tattoo done for my son there last October. awesome experience. Bones was super professional and great to work with. all these haters and filtered reviews are skewing the excellent professionalism of a legit tattoo shop and artists. My wife and I are both planning on going back for more work. even if it is a drive from Sacramento.
Review Source:My original, glowing review was written while my tattoo was a few days old.
What happened next, however, warrants an update: My tattoo became infected with staph a few days later. Â I have 13 tattoos now, totalling 80+ hours of work.
Subculture is the only place I got a skin infection from. It required oral and topical antibiotics. When I went to have it touched up, I got a second infection.
The art itself was executed well but the infection permanently scarred my skin and discolored the ink.
Fury is a really nice guy, but between poor sanitation practices (touching the uncovered speed knob on the power supply with a gloved finger), chronic lateness (he was more than 1+ hour late every time) Â I cannot recommend the shop.
I went in with a gift certificate that could not be honored because it was "too old". It had no expiration date and I was refused by one guy as the other had his feet up in a completely empty shop. I was then told to contact Fury to see if he would accept it, since he had donated it at an event. After several attempts, I was never contacted. This is very unethical and unprofessional. Knowing this was a donation, I was prepared to leave a large tip, but I will never be back.
Review Source:This place will rule over you with an iron fist. (i may or may not be bias) But Seriously if you are into amazing tattoo work  and an atmosphere that will make you nostalgic for  your glory days then head to Santa Rosa and stop in to SUBCULTURE INDUSTRIES. Any of the artist there qualify as "TRUE TILL DEATH" artists but if you want to have someone with 21+ years of experience and mellow attitude and a top notch record of artistry perfection hit up"BONES" and I guarantee you will not be disappointed . This man can do it all, color, black and gray, traditional, insane detail, cover up's ect. ect. ect. also ect. Check em out for your next tattoo and you will not regret it~
