I am not a fan of pain. I need to be drugged to rip off a band aid. So it may seem odd that I decided to get a tattoo, which equals many continuous moments of pain, needles, and blood. I was able to rationalize the decision by explaining to myself it was for art. I mean Van Gough lost and ear, I could certainly stand to loose some pigment.
Thrill Vulture is not a place to cater to my fears. The artists are tough  and somehow gave me the strength to not cry...too much. That and the fear I would be laughed at by my friends got me a sweet little tattoo the size of a quarter on my back. It feels big to me.
Regardless of my personal issues, this is a great place to get a tattoo. Miles away from the trendy studios downtown Thrill Vulture produces great tattoo's. My tattoo was a collaboration of an idea in my mind brought to life by Naomi. My friend got a tattoo that looks like it was stamped from the page of the book she found it in on to her skin. Both look great and are vivid with colors. I like how the artists will work with you to find just the right design.
The studio is fun and makes you feel like you are rebelling from your parents in its suburban location. The best part is walking distance from Graters so you can soothe your pain with an ice cream post-tat. Well worth the fifteen minute drive to Westerville, Thrill Vulture is a great place to get a tattoo.
