I went to go get a tattoo here from the owner. He had me pay $60 for him to draw up the tattoo. When I came back to get the tattoo, he WAS NOT THERE! When I said that I wanted my money back, he said that he would NOT give me my money back because I paid for his "time". I will NEVER go back to this shop, nor will anyone I know! If you want to get a tattoo from a place that has a shady owner, by all means, go to this place. If you want a tattoo from a professional and honest person, go somewhere else, anywhere else!
Review Source:I came in during the summer of 2009 to get a black and orange nautical star on my left shoulder. Â The artist that did it was an apprentice at the shop- he was very friendly. Â About two weeks after i got my tattoo it began to fade; I wanted to give it a little more time before I went back in. Â The guy that did it said he would do lifetime touch ups for free. Â I went back down about four months later to get it touched up only to be told that the apprentice no longer worked there and that they wouldn't touch up or re-do my tattoo for free. Â I got it redone at a different shop and will not only not recommend Top Tattoo to anyone, I will make sure I tell people not to go there if they ask me where they should get one. Â I have gotten 7 tattoos, 5 since that star- if they would have taken care of their customer, they would have at least five repeat pieces, instead, I go elsewhere. Â Check out Industry Tattoo in Bellingham- long drive from here, but well worth it, they're awesome.
Review Source:So I read a review on here saying how horrible Mitch is...I'm sorry, but you are wrong. Mitch is so professional and KNOWS what he is talking about and doing. He gives his professional opioion, he won't just pierce you to get money. I've had almost all of my 14 piercings done by him and redone when they closed up from me taking them out! If you need someone you can trust and who will be professional. Go see Mitch!
Review Source:I've gotten 3 tattoos and a piercing here, all in a 10 year period. Each and every time I visited Top Tattoo, I was greeted professionally, and their artists/prefessionals who work there have always asked me the right questions accordingly. They even talked me out of a certain tattoo after they helped me realize I probably wouldn't want this particular word permenantly on my body. For that I thank them. They always keep your well being in mind, letting you know which places on your body hold ink the best and when covering an unwanted tat, letting you know what would make the best result.. They make sure to follow OSHA and WISHA standard (believe me, I am a medical professional and made sure) and use only titanium metal for their piercings which is he most compatable with the human body. I do not work there nor have I ever and I put 100% of my trust in their artists/piercing professionals.
Review Source:Ok so I am usually a big baby when it comes to needles and pain in general (even though I've delivered 5 babies, lol) but I have always wanted a tattoo or 2...or 3. So back in 2004, I think it was my mom, sister-in-law, and I all decided to go together to get tattoos. My brother told us to go here as this was where he got several of his tats done. one of us had tats so we took this recommendation and went. I was pretty darn scared. The guy at the front desk smelled my fear, or heard my mom and SIL laughing at me and told me I needed to go first because if I didn't I would chicken out as soon as I saw my family going through it. So I did it. I believe the guy's name was Greg or Craig who did my tattoo. I decided on getting my husband's name on my arm. Yea, yea I know what you'r thinking but at that point we'd been together for 10 years and here we are still going strong so I figure it was money well spent. The guy did a good job, he designed the name, I approved, a short time later and not nearly as much pain as I expected, I had my hubby's name forever inked into my arm. The same man did my mom's tattoo and she wasn't as pleased but the lady with purple hair who did my SIL's did a good job on her's so overall it was a good experience and I would go here again if it weren't for the fact I'm addicted to Yelp and have now seen other places I would like to try for my next tattoo.
Review Source:After a crap experience at Slave to the Needle (see my review), my friend and I ended up at Top to see about getting pierced, back in 2006. Mitch saw us, and was nonjudgmental (again, see my Slave review), professional, and--bottom line--gave us KICK ASS piercings: a Monroe for her, and my tongue. I have since removed my barbell, but my friend still has her piercing, and it still looks great.
This time I decided to get inked in the upstairs parlor. Jaime did an excellent job. My tattoo is quite small, but he spent a fair amount of time with me beforehand, as it was my first, and I was quite particular. He has only been working there a year-and-a-half or so, but seems to have quite a bit of experience. I had a great time, and I love my new tat! I would definitely recommend Top to friends.
Once I was a little lass, wanting my ears to be pierced. I went to the mall, got shot in the ear by a piercing gun, and was delighted at the cute studs they placed in my head, but suffered for years from allergies to metals, bad ear infections, and generally hated ear jewelry or anything that created artificial holes in the body thence forward.
Ten years later, I decide to get my ears re-pierced.
This place was recommended by my sister and everyone else I knew in North Seattle. I can't speak for the tattoo aspect portion, but if you want a piercing done (not just lobes... I've had friends get just about everything else pierced) and you want it done right, come by and see Mitch! Not a doctor, but has excellent "bedside manner" and rapport with customers.
He's beyond knowledgeable. Mitch appeased my fear of synthetic metals against my skin.
The only drawback was that the first time we came in, they ran out of jewelery or needles or something, so we had to come in the next day. (We had even called in ahead of time.) It's not really done by appointments. Definitely just drop in. Calling in won't necessarily help, unless you have questions.
