This place is excellent if you're looking to purchase some body jewelry at a great price.
Tucked away along the Columbia River Hwy. strip of "Downtown Troutdale" is this one-stop shop for all your tattoo and body piercing needs. The staff is some of the best around. Super helpful and friendly. The shop is clean and there's a ton to look at. Can't say that I personally have gotten a tattoo or body piercing here but have seen some of the work and their artists are amazing.
What I am commenting on is level of service and variety of body jewelry they have available. Both quality and quantity is there. Plugs, nose rings, belly rings, you name it and they have it. As I typically go in to get plugs I was pleased to know that they will indeed sell them to you individually. I am notorious for just losing one earring. The prices are great - the other day I was able to get a pair of coconut shell plugs, along with one diamond plug all for $30. You really can't beat that price anywhere else. I don't live anywhere close to Troutdale but do go out of my way just to come here if I need to pick something up. Definitely recommend.
I had a tattoo done this morning. Heather was the artist. She took her time drawing and adjusting it. Her next appointment came in while I was still getting it done. In noon way did she rush through it. 7 weeks later I came back to get a touch up that some color took to my skin weird. She fixed it right up with no problem. Tip your artist!!
Review Source:I just happened to drive by this place when exploring Oregon, and thought that I would go ahead and finally get my nose pierced. Â Normally tattoo/ piercing places are intimidating to walk into, but this place has a great and friendly atmosphere. Â Cheryl pierced my nose, and she was absolutely lovely. Â She took the time to place it exactly where I wanted and where it should be. Â I am beyond happy with my piercing.
My friend also got a tattoo at the same time. Â Heather was super friendly, and very willing to make sure she got exactly what she wanted. Â I will definitely be back here to get my next tattoo!
I've been going to TT&BP for years, but only for piercing. Â The owner has always been so very kind and patient. Â The prices are extremely reasonable and it's always been easy to walk-in and get what you need done quickly. Â
This review is more about the tattoo side.  I had decided to get some work done and went in.  I was helped right away and would have been able to get the work done just as quickly, but the artist was out to lunch (yet the owner still tried to contact her to have her come in, which I appreciated).  An hour later the artist called me and we talked through the work I had left for her to look at and we scheduled an appointment for a few days later. Â
This is not my first tattoo.  In my years of getting tattoos I've found one common link- Tattoo artists are coincided jerks (for the most part).  I've ended up with work that I don't really care for/is way larger than I wanted because the artist was so stubborn or acted like they were just put out to change anything.  I understand that it is your 'art', but I have to look at it for the rest of my life!  Heather at TT&BC couldn't have been further from that.  She let me literally cut and paste copies of the picture and play with them at the counter until it was just what I wanted.  She was very open to what I wanted but used her skills to point out things I wouldn't have thought of (placement/even look/text size).  After about half and hour of this, we finally decided on a design.  As we went to the chair she let me take all the time I needed for placement and feeling okay about the overall design. Â
Heather was so kind, patient, personable and attentive, I will be going to her for all my future tattoo work.  She made me feel relaxed and at ease- which can be hard to do when you have a needle that is about to make a permanent mark in your skin.  I am so very happy with the outcome and with my experience at Troutdale Tattoo.
I would give 5 stars, except that there was a $20 difference from the initial pricing to what it actually cost.  I know you can't 100% guarantee what the price will be when the artist isn't around, but the low cost was part of the appeal to get the work done quickly.
Came here to get my lip pierced. The one lady that does the piercings prepared me well for the piercing, cleaning and all. But when it came down to the actual piercing, I am slightly dissatisfied. She marked where to pierce me but when the needle went in, the piercing was off. On top of that, the needle was left in my lip longer than necessary since she dropped the part of my piercing down my shirt. I had to fish it out without freaking out about the needle still in my lip... Although I and many others have loved my piercing, it was not a good experience. I would recommend any other body piercing shop.
Review Source:I want to start off by saying I thought very long about posting this review.
I had been told about this place from a few friends, I normally go somewheres else for my piercings, I do have a few and have experience getting them. But I decided to try this place out since it was closer to my home. My first impression was great, GREAT shop. Clean and tons of stuff to look at. I was greeted by a very nice lady, Sheryl, Think she is the owner and does piercings. I told her what I'd like and she got me set up with a guy named "CHRIS".  HE seemed to be OK little rough with customer service and wore dark shaded glasses as he assisted me. but at that time didn't seem to be rude. I sat down for about 5 min after paying for the services I would be getting, thinking I was waiting for Sheryl because there was a customer ahead of me. Chris then asked me to come on over as he was eating something. Oh well not to big deal I suppose. I had never been in the shop so I didn't know where he wanted me, so I stood there and he said go over there? Over where? but OK I made it to the chair. He seemed  very frazzled but we got to the point were I wanted the location of my piercing on my nose. He placed the dot and let me look, I looked for a short time and asked to go little lower, he stated that it should be there in case I want a hoop later on. I told him I never will want a hoop, I'm a nurse and can't have that. Then he again said that is where it's suppose to me. At the end of my nose crease. WELL my nose crease was farther back. I then told him that he was the PRO and if that's where it was to be who am I to know, that's where it goes. Right? Wrong
Not only when piercing my nose his clamp broke or something so I had to sit and wait with the needle or whatever stuck in my nose for about one min maybe little more, I get that's not his fault. So then I am done and I look and of course it's to high on my nose but I just walked out, I had a family get together right after that and everyone that was there even said o my that's really high. So I called the shop same day just couple hrs later and spoke with Sheryl, she was great and said they would gladly move it, just come back in Monday and it could be re done that day. I told her thank you and see them Monday.
So I go in Monday and I was greeted by another employee and let him know what was going on and he said yes gladly do it. He went over to Chris and let him know I was there and Chris came over and roughly asked who did my nose and I said he did, and then immediately said there was nothing wrong it was where it's suppose to be, at the end of my crease and NO it was not. Â I kindly just stated I'd like it farther back and was told that it could be done today. Â
He told me it had to be taken out and heal before he would do it again. I asked if its not going in the same spot I'm OK with doing it that day if OK. CHRIS then THROUGH UP his hands in the air and rudely said guess we are doing it today, he stormed off and could hear him slamming the tools and tray in the back area where they did piercings. At this point I was not feeling comfortable having him put another whole in my face. So I'm standing at the counter and I'm looking around and I see one tattooist looking to see what was going on and I just asked the other man behind the counter if someone else could please do it and he was kind and said yes. But I'd have to come back AGAIN. He also looked at my nose and said yes it could go back a little more.
So I left and sat in my car and had to take me nose piercing out myself :/
I will not go back due to the way Chris treated me.
They can keep my money.!
Overall if you don't ever have to deal with CHRIS the shop is great I think.!
My first experience at Troutdale Tattoo was getting both my nostril and tragus pierced - they ran a two for one deal! I was a little nervous about my tragus in particular since I had heard horror stories of the pain, but the piercer was very friendly and chatted with me, putting me at ease and all of a sudden I was pierced! My nostril piercing came with an extra piece of jewelry as a downsize, which I went in to have changed at a later date at no charge.
Second experience was getting my first tattoo ever done with Heather. She's fantastic! She did a great job and offers free touch-ups for the first few months. Pricing is good. $50 minimum, so the quote I got cost $80.
The whole shop is clean and the staff is very helpful and friendly. I've had nothing but positive experiences here. They run a lot of specials on their Facebook page, so make sure to like it if you plan on coming here!
$5.00 for new bling for my nose! Â
Best of all, it's my favorite nose jewelry of all.
It sparkles rainbows.
The other nose studs I bought somewhere else dull in comparison to this current one.
The piercer also did not charge me when he changed out the old jewelry for the new. Â
I did not have to go home and struggle with my orifices myself.
That would not have been any fun in this case.
3rd time's the charm, truly.
Customer service? Whats that?
My partner is coming to town next week and I want to take her out to get her first tattoo. Just moved to Troutdale so I stopped in here to check them out. Walked in the door, nobody even looked up. Nobody tattooing, nobody piercing, just two people in the whole place, total dead zone. Still being ignored I walked up to the counter and had to say something before anyone would speak a word. Usually when you walk into a tattoo place that is worth a crap they are all about talking to you, not this place.
I don't know if the guy working just sucks with people but even after I told him I wanted info on scheduling something for my partner he continued to act like he just didn't give a crap at all. Wasn't until I said lets schedule something that he really paid any attention. Funniest part was, he didn't care AT ALL what the tattoo was. Never once did he ask me what kind of tattoo or anything....
While I did schedule something, I won't be keeping that date. I only scheduled something so maybe they would be a little more interested and chatty and I could get a better feel for the place, obviously that didn't work so well.
If these guys want to stay in business they should really take a class or something on how to interact with people. A tattoo is permanent, getting a tattoo from someone who doesn't give a crap is just a bad idea, unless your really drunk...
We here while in Troutdale. Â My fiance bought some gauges here and the staff was very helpful and accommodating.
They had quite the selection of various sized gauges. Â Also, a selection of body jewelry if you like.
He bought a pair of double zero gauges for $20, I thought that was a steal.
