I'll never go here again, My boyfriend and I both got tattoos on our wrists at Vintage. When we walked in, the "artist" seemed annoyed we were there. When i told him what i wanted he tried to change it up. He free-handed the design and it looks terrible. He didn't say one word to me but breathed heavily on me the entire time i was being tattooed. I can't hide this tattoo. My boyfriend's tattoo bled under the skin and instead of offering a resolution, he continued to draw a thicker line on a thin line tattoo. We are NOT happy...and there is nothing we can do about it. Also, they are overpriced. Don't go here unless you want to feel like you are annoying someone or bothering them when they could be watching tv instead of learning their job.

my friends and i went to get some art done. there was only one artist "buster". at first he seemed friendly but after a while he seemed like he was getting irritable. i told him i didnt want my tattoo outlined and he told me i had to or it wouldnt look right. then i showed him what colors i wanted and he chose some really dark colors. when i asked him about it, he said its the ones i wanted and it would look fine. well it doesnt. its dark. when he placed the outline on me he didnt really listen to how and where i wanted it. it was a little off and he told me that he thought it looked better where he put it. it just seemed like when i walked out of there, i felt like it wasnt exactly what i wanted. now im noticing that he missed some spots so i may have to go get it filled in later.my friends and i are going to try Old Town for our next tattoo.

I've gotten many piercings done by Rich (Conch, rook) and he's done two of my friends (Belly button, double helix). So when I was ready for my next tattoo, I went here on his recommendation. The artist (Joe) was busy, so I chatted with Rich. He switched out some jewelry and fixed my friend's weird piercing. He'll pierce anything and does a great job.
When the artist was done, I showed him what I wanted. Since it wasn't too busy, we were able to discuss the tattoo a little. I found a photo of a bow on http://checkoutmyink.com and printed it out. It was to be put on my left foot. He looked at the picture, and re-drew it in a way that was very different, yet complemented my foot so much. I was impressed. Then we got down to business. The tattoo hurt so effing much but I'm so happy with the results. The shading is unbelievable (It pops out almost) and the color is beautiful. Check out the pic! He even touched up my first tattoo.

Also, my mom wants to get her first tattoo. I'm taking her here.

Highly recommended!

I got pierced here by Richard and he messed up my piercing. It's crooked, and apparently that's his style because he did my cousin's tongue ring crooked, too. When I pointed out the crookedness of my piercing he blamed it on the swelling. Obviously, once the swelling went down the piercing stayed crooked. I'd gotten pierced here before and the other guy did a good job, too bad I didn't know they weren't all up to par.

If you like to get ink, finding a tattoo shop and artist you can trust isn't easy. On top of that, many shops have attitude and forget that most people don't understand the process of creating a great tattoo - that often turns many people off to even entering a shop. Well, at Vintage these guys take the time to make sure you are getting what you want, explain the process of creating your piece and don't have the attitude that normally comes with other places. The shop itself is very clean, has a chill vibe and has a living room feel to it. The artists' rooms are private and not out in the open which is so much better than the bullpen feel of other places. I had a piece done by Buster Joe last night and he took the time to work around another tattoo I had on my shoulder, integrated my design and helped me visualize what it would look like. Krazy Kev also does some sick work, saw a couple of his pieces in action when I was there. Harmony also has some very cool silver jewelry, the piercing selection looked cool (no piercings for me) and they even have a snack machine in case you get hungry. Highly recommend the crew at Vintage. I'll be back very soon for more.
