I did some research around town and decided to go to this place. Â It was a good 40 min drive for me each way to get this tattoo, so obviously I could have gone to closer places. Â It took a few appointments to get everything worked out, but I got it done. Â I could have gone with Sarah Miller (appeared on Ink Master on Spike TV) but instead chose to go with Ryan Clark. Â When I told Ryan what I was looking for, he looked at the design and tried to put this together. Â When he looked at it and tried to piece it together, he told me that he could do it but he thought it wouldn't look like I would want it too. Â He told me that he would do it if I wanted it done but he also said he wanted to talk to me to make sure that my tattoo was the best representation of what I was looking for. Â
He changed the design based on our conversation and then sent me a basic outline of the tattoo via email (this way I didn't have to drive all that way just to see it). Â When I came it, he was very professional and you could see that he put his heart into his work. Â He took lots of time to make sure the details were right and it was great. Â In the end, I love the detail that he put into the tattoo and the recommendations he had. Â The tattoo looks way better than what I was thinking and am very happy that I chose him.
On a side note, there were 2 other experiences that happened when I was there which were interesting. Â First, a woman came in looking for a cover up tattoo. Â She asked about getting it covered and was told that because it was so dark, it would be hard to cover it up. Â They mentioned that they could do it but only a few things would cover it up. Â They also gave her other options about what to do with it, including getting laser treatment to lighten up the tattoo. Â Then they could do more with a cover up tattoo. Â I thought it was good that they gave her options instead of just looking to tattoo her and take her business. Â They seem to care about the art going on the body as it's a reflection of them.
2nd experience, a guy came in and wanted his eyelids tattooed. Â They all said that they weren't really interested in that type of tattoo and again, that told me that they weren't there just to tattoo anyone anywhere. Â I think it's good for a shop to do things like that.
All in all, I thought it was a great experience and will contact Ryan about my next tattoo.
This place definitely needs more reviews! Come on people! I went here last Thursday to get a nostril piercing for their $20-Thursday deal. I was greeted promptly and there was a short wait while another person was pierced.
Seth brought me over to his work area after he finished the other person. I signed the paperwork and gave my ID. He thoroughly sanitized everything and even waited the 10 minutes you're supposed to wait while disinfectants disinfect. He was super sweet and friendly, and I felt really comfortable with him. We had conversations about me growing up in the south, shared some laughs and made small talk. He felt like a friend.
Once I sat in the chair he explained everything to me and cleaned my nose and made sure the positioning was right for the nostril piercing. It went in, barely hurt and I was done! I absolutely loved the experience and felt completed once the piercing was done.
I've always wanted a nose piercing, and I am so glad I chose Seth for doing the job. He's an immensely talented and kind person as far as I can tell, and I will be returning for nipple piercings and a septum in the future.
I am beyond pleased with the service and prices here, so please, if you want piercings, go see Seth!
P.S. Tipping is nice, and bring cash to tip with! They use Square card readers for credit transactions and can't accept tips with a credit card.
What a great shop! I have a few tattoos and I have gotten them at a few different shops. Â I went to this shop because I followed an artist (Allie) from her previous shop. Â I must say I was impressed. Â The shop is very clean and organized, and everyone there is very friendly and makes it a great experience. Â I could see how comfortable it would be for a first timer (because I know that's not easy) or even someone that has a few tattoos to walk into this shop. Â They also took the time to show me that everything was sterile and clean. Â Also something that was important to me was the fact that they had restrooms for the patrons to use. Â Anyone who has sat in a chair getting tattooed for a few hours knows that this is important. Â In the end, I had a great experience and I will most definitely be returning!!
