I've always wanted a nasal piercing since I was a teenager but never did it. When my 50th Birthday started creeping up on me I decided to take the plunge but the big question was "Where would i go?" I asked around until my friends/Stylists at my Hair Salon on El Paseo told me that I absolutely had to go to Adornment and have it done by Jose. So, I made a Consultation Appointment with Jose to see the shop and ask him questions about the piercing. He was extremely kind and professional and not only answered my questions but made me feel completely at ease. (I only have my ears pierced and that was when I was little) The shop was immaculate and he had an array of very lovely pieces of jewelry. We had several appointments after that to pick out jewelry, make the actually appointment, and answer any last minute questions. Well, the Big Day finally arrived and my husband and daughter came with me for support. Jose was fantastic! Everything was sterilized and he wore a mask and gloves. Within seconds of sitting in the chair and getting ready to exhale it was done! It was that quick! I can't even tell you if there was any pain because I don't remember any! Anyway, I walked away with a beautiful, gorgeous, diamond piercing in my left nostril that was professionally done by Jose. I love it and I would highly recommend Jose and his Studio. The staff is also extremely friendly and make you feel welcomed. So, if you are looking for artistically done tattoos and piercings this is the place to be. I feel I got a blessed gift for my 50th Birthday! Yay!

This review is long over due and I apologise .. I came back in Feb 2013 to Adornment Piercing and Tattoo, this time for a tattoo with James Haun. I wanted a bow tattoo under my collar bone and showed him some pictures Id found online. He looked at the pictures then proceeded to freehand draw the bow. I wanted a lace bow and he drew all the intricate lace details and it was beautiful! It actually was a little bigger then I had originally wanted but I couldnt ask him to resize it because I was scared I would lose all the detail and it was really beautiful! James was super professional. He was a little quiet it at first but after spending about 2hrs together he warmed up! We had some good convo and he was super patient with my friend who came with her son and was watching my two daughters. His work was so good my friend even returned 2 weeks later to have him finish her half sleeve. James is a amazing artist and Jose popped his head in to say hi during the tattoo also, the atmosphere in this place is great. Friendly faces and amazing talent. I will be back hopefully soon to start my half sleeve!! Thanks guys!!!

While visiting Palm Springs my boyfriend and I decided we wanted to get cheesy traditional palm tree tattoos, but didn't know where to go. We were eating at Native Foods and noticed the guy at the register had a new piece on his arm that looked really well done. He told us he got it done at Adornment by Temo and we didn't hesitate to cruise by and check it out. It was a little hard to find since its on the back side of a office building, not viewable from the street. Once inside we liked how clean it was. it felt just like being at a doctors office. It was unlike any shop I have ever been in and reminds me of shops in Europe where it feels medical. There was even a girl wearing scrubs. It Felt like it leaned more towards a piercing spot rather than tattoos. we were greeted promptly and we were able to be seen quite quickly. The problem was that after going through the portfolios of the two artists there we found no traditional work. We get that traditional isn't very hard to do, but we still would prefer someone who does it primarily. So we decided to continue our journey and check out a couple other spots that had good reviews on yelp.

Bottom line is this place is very clean, professional, and has some talented artists. They just didn't have what we were looking for.

It doesn't get any better than this when it comes to tattoos and piercings! Jose owns the shop and he is also the person who does the piercing. He is very clean friendly and eager to help. The store also carries a ton of beautiful jewelry which i might say is very hard to find, especially in the desert area.  I also recommend Temo the guy who did my tattoo he does great work. Actually all the guys who work there do excellent work.   Very clean and a very friendly environment!

I went to Adornment last week to get quite a large tattoo. Timo, my artist of choice, wasn't sure if we could complete it in one visit though he knew I desperately wanted to leave with a finished piece. He stayed the extra time and made it happen, it took almost five hours. He did not compromise his quality of work one bit in doing so. It is a work of art, everyone I know is jealous and that makes me happy. Every single person there is friendly and welcoming. The cleanest and most professionally run place I've been to. I will never go any where else.

So I had some extra cash over the holidays, so I decided to fix a hot mess, prison style tattoo I had done on my shoulder. I had been referred to Evan, by my sister, and he is awesome.  His consultation left me feeling very confident that he can transform my wimpy flower tattoo into a colorful, awesome piece of art. When it came time to actually tattoo, Evan did an AMAZING job, I almost fell asleep on the table. I wanted it done as quickly as possible, and he was down with the program, swiftly but carefully resurrecting my tattoo. It took approximately 2 1/2 hours, and by the time it was done I could not believe how much more amazing and epic my shoulder looked! Its one thing to walk in and have an artist give you amazing fresh ink, but to have to live with a butchered tattoo, then finding someone who can transform it into something beautiful, you then look at the artist more like a savior. Taking something that you see in the the mirror EVERYDAY and have it irritate and frustrate you, and turning it into something you love, with beauty, depth and meaning, it really does change your life. Seriously, I cant give him enough credit, considering the mess I showed up with, he made it colorful, vibrant, realistic, and just amazing. He charged me very fair, so with that I decided he deserved a fat tip. If he was able to transform such an ugly mess into a beautiful piece of art, I know he will beable to give me epic fresh ink- will go to no one else from here on out. Evan, you will be very busy as soon as I get my tax return rollin. On that note, the studio is very clean, everyone, including Jose, is very welcoming and the whole vibe of the place is extremely comfortable. It doesnt feel like youre walking into a random tattoo shop frequented by bikers and 1980s wash ups, it feels like you are in a clean, private studio, and everyone here is extremely professional and friendly. I would highly recommend Adornment, and Evan in particular, I cannot wait until my next piece, I will be sure to post an update. Adornment customer for life!

I have never been so disappointed as I was on January 2nd 2013. I called many times to make sure I could get my wedding ring tattooed on. My wife and I have been married for 29 years. I can not wear a ring in my work it to dangers. When I got there I was told he couldn't get to me until 7 pm that night. The guy running the place said oh he didn't send you an email I said no I never got any email BUT I TALKED TO YOU FOUR  F#^K-N TIMES  MAKING SURE THIS WAS GOING TO HAPPEN. Bad vibes here and bad attitude. Oh ya something going on here they don't answer their phone they call back ? Save your self a bad time go some place else.

The first time I went into this shop for a piercing, Jose was kinda rude to the two friends I brought with me. They told me not to go back to him, but he did a great job with my piercing and was pretty nice to me so I didn't take their advice. When I went back the second time however, Jose was extremely rude to me and spoke to me in a very hostile tone. When he finished fixing up my piercing, he sent me out of the room and slammed the door without saying a word. My boyfriend was so upset about the way Jose was talking to me that I had to restrain him from going back in and saying something. I thought the way he handled everything was super unprofessional. Although Jose is an amazing piercer and this is a great shop, I will definitely not be going back there now... which is unfortunate because I really love the piercings I got there. Bummer.

Brought my wife in to get a nose piercing and to replace an eyebrow ring.  Jose--owner and piercer extraordinaire--knows his stuff, and is enthusiastic about his craft in a major way.

The shop is what I'm guessing is a former doctor's office and is tucked away in the back of a rather obscure business park-type building.    Not too difficult to find, but definitely not the sort of environment you would expect to find a body art establishment (perhaps I'm just used to the typical type of tattoo shop you find in L.A., where I've gotten most of my work done), and definitely the sort of place that is going to be best discovered through word-of-mouth than by simply passing by.  The fact that a tattoo/piercing shop could not only survive but actually thrive in a place like this is undoubtedly a testimony to the skills of the artists who work here.

So anyway, we got there, sans appointment, at a little after 8:00 on a Wednesday evening.  Jose wasn't in, but one of the tattoo artists (whose work I got to see a glimpse of, and he's got big time skills) called him up and he was in the shop in 10 minutes.  BTW, although the Yelp listing says they're open til 10:00, the hours on their door listed a 9:00 closing time.  So I'm going to suggest you trust the latter number.

Now, I'm not an aficionado of body piercing--I stick to tattoos, and I've had a grand total of one piercing done (and that was a long time ago)--so I can't speak as someone highly knowledgeable in the practice.  However, as a typical consumer, I can say that everyone was very professional.  Prices were reasonable, and all of the folks there were welcoming.  As with any reputable shop, they were big on cleanliness and sterility.

I can't say I'm going to become a regular here--I don't live in Palm Springs, and I don't get body art done very often--but I wouldn't hesitate to have it done here if I was in Palm Springs and had a sudden urge to get inked.
