    Got my first tattoo here several years ago as a Vegas tourist. I had a general idea of what I wanted, but no specific design. When I went into the shop, I found a piece of flash on the wall and Johnny went to work. I was happy with it then, but now know that the quality wasn't great.

    Not sure if Johnny phoned it in since I was just a tourist getting some shitty flash tattooed or if his skills just aren't up to par... Either way, I wouldn't go back. There are too many great artists in Vegas to risk another mediocre tattoo (which I have now had covered up).

    I got it in my head back in September that I wished to get a tattoo! Me! the girl who always said NEVER!  My sisters and I headed to Vegas for a well deserved girl trip! I suggested they get ink too! We visited a few other locations and did our homework when we went to Atomic to see how they greeted us! We were pleasantly greeted by Johnny Vegas and Paul P.  The four of us are not the regular customers they see entering their establishment (think rather than Gen X more like Geritol!) But still fun!
    We asked a few questions and they answered them all perfectly. the prices were reasonable for the area, the place looked clean and they had decent reviews online.

    We left, talked it over and called later in the week to get our appointments. We came in for our ink, met with Paul and described what we wished to have done. Within only 15 minuted he had them all drawn up. A few minor adjustments and I was in the chair for my first ever ink experience! I think I had been so looking forward to it I was not afraid of pain. The location of my ink is on the inside of my wrist.. The outline was a bit of a sting but by the time he got to the colors and details I was so fascinated watching the process I forgot about the sting. The end result is exactly what I was looking for. Now after a week of healing it looks superb! My sisters tattoos are just as great and we are all very pleased with the outcome!
    The after care instructions were very clear and easy to follow too!

    My hat is off to Paul and the gang. we were treated really well and I would recommend this location to anyone wanting a tattoo in Las Vegas.

    This place is awesome!!!

    A group of friends and I went to Vegas for the weekend and wanted to get tattoos while we were out.  We were pressed for time so all 3 of us couldn't get tatted here.  However one other friend and I, did, it was awesome!

    Monk was our artist; he was simply amazing!  He was very detailed, yet quick!  The prices are awesome but the laughs are even better!

    (Live well Laugh often Love much - shoulder piece)

    I love you MONK!

    The reason I'm giving this place 2 stars is because I was not happy about my experience when I went to get my tragus pierced there.  I got pierced by that guy Johnny Vegas or whatever, and he didn't even introduce himself, or explained anything about the process, OR gave me any option about my jewelry, he didn't ask me if I was allergic to the freakin jewelry he was about to put in my ear. I wasn't impressed, but I guess you get what you pay for. I payed $20 for the piercing.  It just so happens that I am allergic to the cheap jewelry that was used in my ear, I would have gladly paid for good jewelry had he offered me the option. My ear bled, and was in pain for a couple of days. This Johnny guy really needs to work on his customer service skills....I was gonna get more piercings done the same day, but after the way he treated me I was like hellll nawww, I'd rather go pay more at a more professional establishment on the strip, like inside one of the casinos. The guy who answered the phone was really nice and professional though, that's the only reason I went there. I called before hand to inquire about the price, and he was really helpful.
       The area is really sketchy, there's some sort of apartment building or motel right behind the parking structure and the people that I saw looked like they were up to no good.
        I don't know about his tat skills, but for piercings, skip this joint or maybe you may have better luck with another piercer at this same place.

    Johhny Vegas Top Hat is the man. Great service, friendly staff and terrific work. No other shop in Vegas compares.

    For those that know me...I'm a clean cut guy.  I don't enjoy: smokes, cut off jeans, sleeveless shirts, loud harley davidsons, or (insert your favorite tattoo related stereotype).  Something really special had to happen for me to jump and get one.

    The woman and I had an hour to kill before our 'appointment' with an establishment down the street.  Looking to pass the the time, she suggested that we get a tattoo.  (note:  the previous night the woman spontaneously suggested that we head to Vegas to visit the location down the street...so the recent bursts of spontaneity was nothing new.  Being ever so adventurous and loving, I have been reciprocating the these bursts with "YEAH!" and "SURE"

    A quick Yelp search shows many reviews for Atomic City Tattoo & Piercing and call:

    Man on the phone: "Atomic City Tattoos & Piercing"
    Me:  "Hi, I was wondering do you guys charge for consultations..?"
    Man:  "Uh...no we don't - drop on by"
    Me;  "Oh yeah, and what time do you guys close"
    Man:  "10"
    Me  "OK thanks, I'll be there in a few mins"
    Man  "OK"

    Again, me being the guy I am, short answers make me feel a bit uneasy. but we pull in anyways.  The parking in the rear wreaked of bodily fluids that didn't belong in the open air.  Another feeling of uneasiness came about...but we continue anyways.  As we entered, we were greeted by a guy, whom I learned was Alex (nick named Diamond) and welcomed us.  He asked how he could help.  The woman and I both decided to get the date tattooed.  He said alright, not a problem and asked how we wanted it. Which is where the problem arose.

    I didn't really have any set style...I was under the impression that they would "just know" like on some of these TV shows...again I am n0ob.  I began to describe what I had in mind, but felt that I didn't give it justice.  He pulled out a book of sample fonts and asked that i take a look at a few and maybe something will be appropriate - as I wanted something Edgy, but not in your face, but refined/classy at the same time  (yeah, i know...thats alot)

    After a few minutes, we both found something we liked.  This is when Johnny Vegas stepped in - he drew out what it would look like and placed it on the locations that we liked.  We both agreed and the tattooing began.  I really didn't know what to expect with the whole experience.

    I had no clue of the length of time it would take, the amount of money spent, the care, the recovery - Nothing... but when it was all said and done - the price was right and the quality was great, I couldn't ask for more - however they provided more. Despite the foul smell in the back, and the short answers,  the crew at the shop made me and my woman feel welcomed.

    I later found out that the guy who answered the phone was Fat Andy, and he's a good guy.

    Thanks again to the crew at Atomic City for adding to the experience of that night, next time I'm in Vegas and want a tattoo - i will come back.

    ---Oh and if Johnny or the other guys are reading this, Thanks for witnessing our
    "appointment"----

    I'm confused as to the many many spectacular reviews about this place, but I know it all comes down to a particular set of circumstances. The thing is, I went in with high hopes based on reviews from other yelpers.. I was sorely disappointed with what I ended up with. I can't go into too much detail because I do believe that the particular 'artist' that did my work, really was to blame for the shoddy work. I couldn't even let him finish with the color, because the outline was so bad. I don't want to ruin the rep of all of the artists that work there, but this one was really bad. I liken him more to someone that can trace a design and transfer it to a stencil. When it came time to do details, it was really very amateur looking and childish in design.

    I got a koi on my forearm to go with alot of the other Japanese style art on my arm, and when it came to the scales and shading on the fish, and the detail on the fins.. it was all really, really bad and looked as though someone had doodled a drawing on my forearm.

    Not cool for a permanent tattoo.

    I had to go to another tattoo artist after I called Atomic a couple of times to try and get it worked on, and was repeatedly told the artist would be away or out of town.

    Eventually I gave up trying to go there to get fixed, as the money I spent was no where worth what I got and  they kept blowing me off. I have found another artist at a different shop who has been working on me since.. and to paraphrase what he said when he first saw the tattoo that i got at Atomic City..  "I'm just glad you are still wanting tattoos after having such bad work done like this".. yeah it was that crazy looking.

    Please consider that there are so many awesome artists and the one guy I got to work on me at Atomic may not be the one you will get/might talk to. Just consider that we have so many artists in town that are amazing.

    One star reviews are a nearly 'never happens' kind of thing.. but this is permanent and I am having to spend more time/money getting the tat fixed rather than enjoying what I thought would be an awesome piece. Better luck to you.

    When calling to have a tattoo done we were told stop by at three pm. Once arriving shortly after three someone else had taken our spot. No biggie we were late. We were told to come back later and waited another couple hours. We decided not to make the artist sit in the shop all night so we came back early the next morning. The tattoo artist that worked on us was friendly, considerate of what we were looking for and took his time prepping the work before beginning. Once starting our tattoos, he was fast and the work is excellent. Out of all my tattoo's the one I received here is my favorite. I would return and most definitely recommend this place to anyone. Oh forgot to mention we received two tattoos for under 150 with a tip. Haven't got a price like this in years.

    I came here with my friend and watched as he got pierced.  Never heard of the place until he told me about it.  I drove right past it and had to make a U-turn, but the real annoyance was finding a parking spot.  Nonetheless, I found one.  I ended up parking at Arepa's and walking over to Atomic City.  I don't know how I missed this place when the exterior is painted fluorescent green.  Upon entering, I noticed the shop was pretty small and looked very clean.  The Tattoo artists were set to the left with facing the window (I believe I counted 3 different stations.  behind the 3rd station was what looked like an exposed storage room.  It was roped off, but had a sign near the roping that indicated it was an Art Gallery of sorts.   Next to that was a little end table with the most random things on it that was for sale.  It almost looked as if employees of the Tattoo shop gathered scavenged through their closet to find things that they wanted to sell.  On the table (just to name a few things):  a pair of shoes, colored pencils, Prisma markers, an old book, and some shoelaces.  To the right of that was a door.  I later learned that it lead to a locked bathroom (you have to ask front desk to access).  You walk through a mini hallway and end up at the bathroom.  I had to urinate bad... luckily the associate was kind enough to let me use it.  To the right upon entrance is a glass counter with the associate lounging behind it.  Inside the glass was some body ornamentation (not too many pieces, but again very organized). To the right of that, your typical poster-style display of some generic tattoos that you can flip through. The Tattoo artist took a quick break to pierce my friend and did so in literally 3 minutes (super pro).  He wasn't up for small talk and just gave my friend sanitary procedures to follow.  After that he left the room and went back to tattooing.  Staff was not too interactive w/ the customer, but they get the job done quickly.  A- Ok !

    Pros:
    *  Clean Shop
    *  Quick with piercings
    *  Bathroom available for customers
    *  Art Gallery (well, sort of)
    *  Random items for sale
    *  Decently priced

    Cons:
    *  staff wasn't too talkative
    *  parking sucked!  Next door is a motel that threatens to tow the cars of those that are not a guest
    *  There's a sign to park out back, but I couldn't find it. Confusing!

    I want to start by saying that I am as picky as it gets when it comes to the little things. That includes type of coffee I drink, the cream I pour into the coffee etc. So, you might imagine that I was extremely picky when it came time to get some ink.

    I went to a few places at home (in the Bay Area) and they were world renowned, highly rated here on Yelp and I thought I found my guys. After going in for a one on one chat, I just didn't get a good feeling and to make matters worse, they didn't understand the vision I had.

    So, I was headed to Sin City for a lil belated b day vacation and I found Johnny Vegas on Yelp, so glad I did. I made an appointment, called a few times to give him the heads up, chat about my vision and he was on the same page. When I got there, he listened to my vision (for the 3rd time), expressed his opinion and sketched it out. It just felt right and that's how I choose my artist, on feeling. So, I was getting my dogs paw print on my arm and we went through quite an ordeal just to get his print on paper. Johnny taped the print to his chair and checked that print every few seconds just to make sure he was getting it exactly perfect.

    Johnny Vegas did a fantastic job, I love the ink and the next time I get inked up, I will fly all the way to Vegas just to see this guy. He's that damn good!!

    Every time I visit Vegas, I get new ink - but only after scouring reviews of shops here on Yelp. I'm glad I listened to the Yelpers here, because I have only raves for Atomic City.

    My new ink from Johnny Vegas is gorgeous and the experience was ace - the shop was super clean, and Johnny Vegas was professional, friendly and obviously talented. His prices are reasonable, and I'll guarantee that you'll pay much more if you inquire into shops on the Strip. He specializes in traditional designs, which I stuck to. I called ahead to make sure they were open and to make sure they took walk ins (they do). Last I checked, they were closed on one weekday so you may want to call ahead before stopping by.

    The shop is right on LV Blvd, and the Deuce bus stops about a block away.

    Overall, thumbs up. I'll visit again during my next trip.

    Johnny Vegas is the only choice in my opinion. I just got back from Vegas, and landed on Atomic Tattoo based on research I did prior to my trip. It was my first tattoo, so I was obviously being cautious.

    Just talking to the guys in several parlors on the strip immediately made me leery. Atomic Tattoo on the other hand felt like the right place. The shop was clean, the rates were half that of shops on the strip, and the quality of work was top notch.

    I was in and out in no time and it turned out great.  Thanks to Johnny for making my Vegas experience first class.

    While in Vegas, my husband turned to me and asked if I wanted to get a tattoo.  I was surprised because I had considered it in the past, but never thought I would actually get one.  But, we went on yelp and did some investigating and settled on Atomic City Tattoo.  They suggested bringing in a print out of what we wanted a tattoo of.  Being HUGE sports fans, we decided on a sports related tattoos.  I wanted a mean looking Fred Bird tattoo, the St. Louis Cardinals mascot and my husband wanted a Milwaukee Brewers logo.  We were able to print out the pics we found at Harrah's and we hopped in a cab and drove to Atomic City Tattoo.  It's not real close to the strip, so I recommend getting a cab there.  This being my first and only tattoo parlor, the place seemed very clean and orderly, with many choices of tattoo artwork available to look at.   When we got there, Monk was the tattoo artist there at the time.  He looked at what we picked out and said it should be no problem.  Monk was very nice and did everything possible to make me feel comfortable, from asking me if I wanted to change the music to asking me if I needed a break.  It took about 2 hours to finish my tattoo, and it was totally worth it.  The shading was amazing!  I would definately go back to Atomic City and have Monk do another tattoo.

    My cousin got his first tattoo here tonight. I cannot tell you how impressed we were with Johnny Vegas' work, and what a great guy he is. The shop is very clean, Johnny is very professional and makes you feel very at ease. The ink came out beautifully, it was done pretty quickly and very reasonably priced.  It was such a great experience, we are so happy to have found this place! We're already devoted and loyal customers and planning his next tat so that we can go back to Johnny!

    Just got my 15th tattoo at Atomic City Tattoo & Piercing. I am visiting from NJ for my husband's 40 birthday. I got a tattoo of my son's footprints. Johnny Vegas was great, very professional and his pricing was fair. The shop was easy to find, parking  was available behind the shop, and it was clean. Overall, I was very pleased. The tattoo looks amazing! I love it. My husband may go within this week for a piercing.

    These are the coolest motherfuckers! my two friends and I decided to get matching tattoos since we were in vegas, so we came in and showed them what we wanted. It wasn't a big tattoo so the guy said $50 for each of us, so we totally talked one of the guys to get the same matching tattoos with us so we could all be BFF's!!!!!!!! we were super excited that he got the same tattoo as us he was so cute for doing it, and the guy that did the tattoo is super awesome too!!!!! I feel bad because I don't remember his name but I love both these guys!!! Definitely come here if your in town and want a tattoo!

    Went to Vegas this weekend and knew I'd be getting a tattoo.  Had the line art ready just to make it easy.  Hit up yelp and ended up going to Atomic City based on the reviews here.  SO happy we checked here!

    We got in immediately, the shop was super clean and after letting him finish his cigar he got right down to business.  My tattoo came out beautiful and I loved that he spent a bit of extra time making sure the colors were right because stopping in for a touch up wasn't going to be easy since I live in CA.

    The price was more than reasonable, the guys in there were all nice and friendly (and funny) and the quality of the work is worth way more than 5 stars.  I'd make a special trip to Vegas JUST to have my next tattoo done there.

    Texas Bob is an amazing artist with a light hand and beautiful line work. I arrived to my appointment to find a dude who just loves what he does. The shop and his station are clean and sanitary. It's only been 5 days since I got my new ink but it's healing quickly and looking great. I'll definitely be returning to Texas Bob in the future. He loves doing Americana tattoos so if that's your thing, run, don't walk to Texas Bob!

    Our last day in vegas and 5 hours before our flight...  Already checked out of the room and done alot in Vegas all week.  While walking down the strip we ran into Vince Neil's shop and decided to walk in.  Saw the sign 100$ min, thought ok thats not too bad.  A friend picked out her tattoo and asked for a quote, they came back with $400.  We all looked shocked and walked out.  Went down the street to eat and decided to head out to end of the strip, we saw some shops there yesterday.

    Walked into Atomic, great staff, looked very clean and we started to chat about tattoos.  My friend got hers first and the same tat quoted for 400$ was done for 140.00.  I then decided to get my sons bday on my chest plate, i paid the shop min at 80.00$  Mine took about 20 minutes and im happy.

    I do have to say the lines on mine aren't as chrisp as my friends are, but nothing that cannot be touched up later...

    GREAT PLACE
    GREAT PEOPLE
    GREAT PRICES!

    It's too bad I can't give Atomic City Tattoo 6 stars!  Before the US Rockabilly Rave in 2008, my friend and I wanted to get matching horseshoe tattoos and everyone I asked said to go to Atomic City Tattoo and ask for Texas Bob.  The day we went to the shop, it was closed but we found out why... Texas Bob was at the Rockabilly Rave and coincidentally I met him and he gave me his business card (a wooden coin).  A year later, my husband and I planned a trip to Vegas for my husband's annual hockey tournament and contacted Texas Bob to tattoo a memorial tattoo for my grandparents.  I emailed him a sketch of the basic concept and was totally blown away by what he came up with.  It was absolutely perfect and far better than my original concept.  Texas Bob was very professional, friendly, and passionate about tattooing.  The tattoo came out perfect and is healing nicely.  I would definitely recommend Atomic City Tattoo and Texas Bob to all of my friends visiting Las Vegas.  Texas Bob is one of the best artist I have come across and now my favorite.  Oh, and for the girls who care about this sort of crap, Texas Bob is a hottie!

    This place is a six stars, if I could give it that much. There were three of us, I called atomic tattoo to ask if they can take walk ins, and he said 'sure, just come on in' with such a welcoming voice, I already had a good feeling about this experience. I had little pictures saved on my phone for some ideas, and he sketched exactly like how we wanted them. Johnny Vegas made us all feel extremely comfortable as he tattooed us, I didn't even think about the fact that I was being tattooed and I'm such a wuss. I think I will fly all the way to Vegas for my next tattoo just so it can be with Johnny Vegas.

    My friend and I were staying at the Stratosphere and after going to a couple of tatoo parlors we stumbled across Atomic City Tattoo.  We both got tattoos on our first visit!  We met with Texas Bob, who actually worked in Boston for a few years (it was meant to be!!!) he was a perfect gentleman, the shop was very hygenic and are tattoos are pretty great!  Not to mention their prices are a lot cheaper than some of the sketchy parlors in the area.  You also can't go wrong with Johnny Vega, I went back the next day for a touch up on an old tattoo and he was more than happy to help me and just as awesome as Texas Bob!

    Oh and I love the fact that they have "Swine Free" painted on their window!!

    Mom, my sister and I were on visit to Vegas from various parts of the states. Its was a big birthday for mom. So my sister and I decided to convince her to get a tattoo with us. It was a half tongue-in-cheek idea, but I researched a few places anyways. Atomic definitely sounded more like our type of place; off the beaten track, responsible, and quality.

    So, last day of the trip mom suggests to US to get tattoos. Fantastic! We drove over to the shop, circled around a couple times to find the little parking lot in back and walked in.

    Johnny Vegas drew up exactly what we were describing the first go. Theres a few sketchy pizza places near but we went and got pizza anyways before going back in while he cleaned up and got ready for us.

    I paid on the card and he worked with mom first. Him cracking jokes about going slower if mom kept winging actually helped her settle down. Sis and I followed. They all 3 turned out perfect.

    Johnny Vegas was neither condescending nor flippant. He made double sure we were sure and then went for it. A couple people walked in while he was working on us and no one else was in the shop so they had to wait a while. But he was responsive to them when they came in.

    All-in-all a great, memorable 1st tattoo for mom, and certainly a high quality experience for sis and I who already have a few.

    If you want no nonsense and quality go to Atomic for certain!
    Plus Mr. Vegas is a cutey. That certainly helps the cause!

The price was very reasonable and the tattoo came out great. Oh yeah, since it was my first tattoo, I thought I'd be real intimidated but Johnny was pretty nice and friendly. I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone. Next time I come to the Vegas, I'm coming back.

    How have more people not left reviews for these guys???

    I havent been to any other tattoo shops in Vegas...except for that stupid H & H one at the Palms a couple years back. I didnt get anything there but was completley turned off at the prices they were quoting for such little work. But whatever, this review isnt about those tools.

    So my girlfriend and I wanted to get tattoos while in vegas and werent sure WHERE to go. We knew where NOT to go, but were still doing research on shops. On the way to breakfast Sunday morning we drove  by their insanely bright "Atomic Green" shop and had to stop in.

    During the day TEXAS BOB works the shop. Extrememly nice guy who worked me in that same day after we discussed my piece. The price was great, and the art he produced is amazing. I'm definitetly going to be coming back when I want more done.

    Great shop.  I can't remember the owner's name but he was a very nice guy and he maintains a very clean and sterile shop.  There are tons of designs to pick from.  We took in our own designs and he replicated them with no problem.

    The shop is in a seedy area between the north Strip and downtown...but then again, what tattoo shop isn't located in a seedy part of town?  Skip all the high priced places like Vince Neil Ink and Hart & Huntington.  Those jokers want 5x the price.  You can find great talent like the guys at Atomic City for more affordable prices.
