I don't even know the persons name who tattooed me so you can only imagine the connection we had...actually I believe his name was Marc. Anyway made a one sitting appointment for a side tattoo fairly large. Quoted me $400 for finished product which was cool but then what do you know! At the end of my session (he just had another appointment coming in) he told me to come back to finish it and charged me $500!!!! Half finished tattoo for $500 PLUS A TIP when you told me $400. Ass. All they care about is their money there. Also I need to get various parts covered cause he can't tattoo a straight line or realistic things I guess.
Review Source:I was not at all impressed by the service or friendliness of the staff. When I showed James the tattoo I had drawn based off of a Pinterest tattoo idea, he was very condescending and rudely said he wouldn't do it because it was copying someone else's tattoo. He said he would only do it if he could redraw it. I felt very taken aback and embarrassed that I had even asked. I tried to give him a second chance, and said that would be fine if he redrew it. Then he asked where I wanted it. I told him on my foot and he immediately said "No, I won't do it." He said it would get washed out which was good to know, but when I asked where he would recommend instead so it wouldn't get washed out, he again spoke very sharply and rudely saying he couldn't tell me that because it wasn't his body. I had no idea where to put the tattoo so it wouldn't wash out since it would have been my first tattoo. Finally he suggested some places after making me want to walk out. I thought the consultation was supposed to be helpful and informative, not a rude person telling me I couldn't get my tattoo anywhere. I was still considering getting the tattoo, but to top it off, when I called and said I had spoken to James about getting my tattoo and would like to set up an appointment, they told me James was not a tattoo artist. Â I don't know why James talked to to me about doing my tattoo if he was not in fact the one who would tattoo me. I finally just gave up on getting my tattoo after that because I was wasting my time.
Review Source:This place used to be the go to place for piercings. This has definitely changed. All of their good piercers and tattoo artists left. The people that are being hired to replace them are so not up to the reputation Blue Lotus has gotten over the years. If you want to find the people who made this place great, look around. They're not hard to find. Some are even just down the street. Hopefully word will get out about how bad this place has gotten before too many people get messed up tattoos and piercings. When it comes to stuff  like this, you want the best not the quick find replacements for the best.
Review Source:I am writing this almost 5 years after I got this tattoo....
My first and only. I walked into Blue Lotus with my boyfriend and good friends. I wanted the artist to copy a chemical formula from one of my father's patents. He invented the antibiotic clarithromycin, and he passed away when I was in high school. I wanted the formula on my foot as a memorial.
I'm not going to lie... getting a tattoo on the top of my foot was a ridiculously painful experience; however! my artist was very quick and efficient. I had to go back two weeks later for a touch up (because the whole thing is tiny lines), and that was free.
I am SO incredibly pleased I went to this parlor. My tattoo is in perfect condition 5 years later, and that's a pretty rare thing for tattoos with such small and precise lines, AND on places that get a lot of contact, like feet. Â I had a lot of people warn against it before I went there, saying it'd be faded in a year or two.
To this day I get people commenting and asking where I got it done. I always tell them the parlor (although now I live in Washington... quite a ways away). I'd recommend this place to anyone: wonderful, talented artists, CLEAN and sanitary environment, and reasonable pricing.
Thank you for this piece of art that I will have forever. :)
First time getting a tattoo and I came here because I heard they did a good job.  I have no complaints.  I only got a small om symbol on my ankle, but Tony, my tattoo artist, did exactly what I wanted!  I am very pleased with how it looks and  would for sure come back for another next time
Review Source:Went in for a consult on a Thursday, had my appointment booked for the next day. Super friendly staff, and they really know their stuff. Shaun did a great job, exactly what I wanted. He made me feel very comfortable, and even touched up the original tattoo he was adding onto at no extra charge so the tattoo would have completely fresh color. Glad I came here :)
Review Source:My sister and I went in twice in a period of two days to consult and try and set up tattoo sessions. Both times we went we found the staff to be pretentious and incredibly douchey. Were they on a mission to make every potential customer feel stupid? We think yes. Not the state of mind you want to be in when getting ink done. We decided against Blue Lotus for that reason and chose a different local parlor where we were treated with much more respect.
Review Source:A little on the expensive side, but features a solid team of tattoo and piercing professionals in a clean, non-terrifying environment.
The tattoo guy was remarkably more-or-less not annoyed when I threw up all over the place, and the piercing guy, in an unrelated occasion, was even MORE understanding about the vomiting.
