WORST tattoo/piercing shop ever. They hire horrible employees who are rude and have no idea what they are talking about. All their jewelry is touched by customers and employees and then sold to someone who has no idea. They rarely change out of their jewelry. Every time I go in they have things that have been sitting in the case for YEARS. They had an artist that went by the name of "Skizzy" and just by the fact that they would hire HIM and think he was producing good tattoos....that says a lot about the low quality of this whole shop. I will NEVER support this business, they only want to take your money.
Review Source:I love BJP!!!! I got a recommendation from an employee at the Everett Mall Spencers because I couldn't find what I was looking for there. I have to say when I walked into BJP I was greeted and helped VERY quickly. The teamwork the staff displayed was awesome. I love the horseshoes I bought they are so comfortable I wear them all the time. GOOD JOB BJP!!!! I will be back soon!!
Review Source:What a rip-off.
The other day I found myself in somewhat of a body jewelry emergency and had some holes to fill for a wedding. I am somewhat new to the area and I normally order from a nice on-line establishment, but I was desperate and ventured into the mall to find something. My procrastination isn't BJP's fault, but their lack of knowledge and bad practices are shadier than an elm tree.
I was approached by a girl who was the human equivalent of a wet paper bag. Right away she had an elitist attitude which seemed surprising since she worked in a tattoo shop... at a mall... across from a Payless Shoe Source. She asked me what I was looking for, I told her simple and she took me to a display case of shiny, embellished crap. Maybe this wasn't my sort of place, but I was a customer nonetheless and didn't appreciate attitude when I had given none.
Their pricing was another cause for concern. Their ridiculously overpriced plugs are priced individually and when you buy a pair you get 25% off. This is not clearly stated to the customer and makes absolutely no sense at all and can only be classified as some sort of trickery. I can assure you that this is not a standard practice among piercing shops. I have had stretched ears for almost 15 years, have patronized local shops in every major city I have lived in and have NEVER come across anything like this. If you display jewelry in pairs you should price them as pairs. For what I paid I could have gotten a decently made pair of handmade wooden plugs from a reputable shop. Shame on me for being a procrastinator. I'd hate to know how much they think their large gauge wooden plugs are worth! Simply put, businesses that have to jack up their prices to pay mall rent do not give a shit about you.
I am hoping that someone reads this and decides to stay far away from this establishment. Do your research and go support a local business that offers clean jewelry without tricky selling tactics and Avenged Sevenfold shirts hanging on the wall.
While they have good customer service, they obvs don't know what they are doing. They sold me the wrong size in both my lip ring and a stud for my piercing on my ear. Ridiculous. And because of their "no return" policy, I am $20 out because of their stupidity.
I cannot even imagine getting a tattoo done there! While it smells like bleach, I can tell that they aren't that hygenic there just by looking around. Just because you clean the glass doesnt mean everything is clean.
I came in here the other day to get a replacement ball for my bioplast monroe jewelry. I was greeted by some girl whose name I found out was Kendra. She said hi and asked if I needed help finding anything. I told her what I was looking for and she said "they're over here," and randomly pointed to a display case.
UM OK...show me!
She walked over and said these 3 boxes (all on top of each other) are what you're looking for. I started looking at them and she took her time taking them out. She asked to make sure I had gotten my bar there (so the ball would fit). I picked a simple ball and she asked if I knew about the no return/exchange policy. I said yes as I get a majority of my jewelry here. (assuming I'm getting the right jewelry)
She checks me out, the whole time not smiling, kind of seemed like she had an attitude. I definitely did not feel like I was welcome here.
I got home and tried putting the ball in. It COMPLETELY fell out. I have other jewelry pieces from here that fit in just fine when I switch them out so I'm pretty sure I was given the wrong size.
I called today and some guy answered. I told him what happened and he explained the bioplast can sometimes stretch out so I told him that I had other jewelry that fit.
I always see their little sign saying "let us know how our customer service is."
Well I'm letting you know now, It's not good. At least pretend like you enjoy your job and smile. Maybe double check to get the right size, especially if you have a no return/exchange policy when i'm buying a $6.00 ball.
I can't believe you as owners of this store treat your employees so horribly that they have all quit!!  I spend a lot of money in your store and i used to go in sometimes just to see the girls working there because they were so friendly and helpful and i would end up buying something when i hadn't even planned on it.  You should be ashamed of yourselves for treating people so badly!!  I will take my business elsewhere from now on and  i hope everyone else does also.  The only good thing about your store now is one piercer, jennifer and the tattoo artists.  Are you going to be so abusive that they leave too??!!!
Review Source:I wish I would've gone with my sister here after Cicada fucked us over on our appointments. I was in a pissed off mood so I didn't want to bother driving around to other shops. My sister and her boyfriend went on the day we were originally supposed to be tatted at Cicada and they were doing a deal that day but since my sister didn't have money they gave her and her boyfriend a raincheck (I was going to be buying hers for her birthday). This Saturday my sister and her boyfriend went and got their tattoos at a SUPER good price. The work looks very good too, I will probably get something done by them in the future.
Review Source:I went in looking for a pair of mirrorred plugs for my new job. The woman behind the counter was quick to show me the only pair in my size, which was a little off, and put them in a box. What she DIDNT show me was a closer look at the actual earrings. They had big scratches in the sides that I couldn't buff out, so they already looked worn, and they were pretty expensive in my opinion. I'm sticking to my online website and would rather pay the five bucks for two day shipping and still having my earrings be CHEAPER THAN ONE EARRING at BJP. Bleh.
Review Source:After reading the previous reviews, yeah I can see a bunch of mall rats coming in to say "OMG. How much is it to get, like, my nose pierced?!?" But that's the risk you take when you go to the mall, one of the many reasons why I try to avoid them at all costs. After a massive search for green semi permanent hair dye I ended up at BJP after a referral from a display and costume employee. The store was very clean and although there was a bit of a wait to be helped, the clerk took her time with another customer which is something I can appreciate- who, for the record, didn't try on the piercings. I had my daughter with me so didn't have the chance to look at the jewelry more closely but they had what I needed which makes me happy.
It's hard to find alternative hair dye in colors other than pink and blue so I'm so happy they not only had green but I had a choice between "Iguana Green" and "Limelight" which saved me a trip downtown. On the plus side, I'm always on the lookout for new tattoo shops and when I get the chance, I'll come back for a consult even if it is in a mall.
This store is decent. It's got a pretty good selection of jewelry, most of it's cheap(ly made) but some of it's sorta cool. It's overly priced for the pieces, but I guess it's less of a mark-up than a typical piercing shop. I like the fact that they have parts for jewelry, like extra balls...but only externally threaded. They never keep the same employees so it's a surprise of what kind of service you'll recieve. It's not too clean of a store, so every piece of jewelry I buy I scrub the heck out of it. All in all, it's an ok place if you need jewelry quickly. It's one step above the kiosk.
Elizabeth M.: I smell an employee/staff review?
This shop friggen kicks ass now!! They got new staff members who are highly knowledgeable and extremely attentive (not silly little kiddies they had previously) they have started tattoing and have super talented artists and the new piercer "Jennifer" is amazing! They eliminated the teeny bopper clothes and have added way more sweet-ass jewelry for any piercing you can imagine. Love this place!!
Review Source:Cheap nose rings....cause I like variety.  However I don't like how the salesgirls always touch all the jewelry with their bare hands.  I always disinfect mine after I buy them because I am not sure where they might have been but  4.99 for a cute little flower stud cannot be beat.
Some of the jewelry is a little trashy. Â I cannot wait to get my tongue pierced so I can wear a 69 stud. Â Ek!
This place picks up where Torrid and Hot Topic left off, or chickened out. Â
Decent body jewelry, piercing services at some locations, punk clothing/accessories, panties that say "It ain't gonna lick itself!" and other things you really need. Â
A REALLY good selection of basic hoops and studs. Â I needed a captive bead hoop for my nose and the chick there was really helpful and knowledgeable. Â Nice to deal with.
Wish this place had been around when I was in high school!
