Went here about a year ago on 11/22/11 to get my lotus flower colored in with a touch up. I forgot the name of my artist, I think it was Alex or JR ? He was very friendly and helpful with all of my questions. But, during the healing process I noticed that the pink ink on the louts was already fading and even started to have ink chunks. I was worried that it was an infection but the artist was really sanitary with all the equipment. I'm pretty sure it's my own fault though because my skin doesn't take color well. Or it could be a bad quality of the ink that he used. A couple months after my visit from boulevard I went to A-Town Tattoos (review on my page) and got it all fixed up,and still till this day the ink looks fresh and vibrant. Maybe next time i'll give this place another shot, but I'm sticking with black in white ink instead. It seems like BLVD tattoos are known for script work & black and white designs. And also, the shop is pretty big, with I think about 2 rooms in the back and an open room in the center. The shop also sells dope graphic t-shirts too !
Review Source:So this place is very chill and the tattoo artist are quiet but once you spark up a conversation it's all good.  If your a conservative  and cholos beer and old school music bother you do not go there.if your a layed back person who doesn't mind a good time while u get tattooed THIS IS THE SPOT FOR YOU! Occasionally they will drink a little even ask you if u want a beer..kool people  I've gotten 2  tattoos from there my and uncle goes there and my buddy got his whole right arm sleeve from there..jr and smiley did mine ...you can't go worng with anyone there try all have there own style...try it
Review Source:I've been here a couple of times with various friends, family and for myself. It was a relatively great experience for me. I explained what i wanted and he didn't disappoint! Unlike the other comment i didn't see any gangsters or homeboys at the shop, i saw guys with a lot of tattoos but then again, its a tattoo shop; what else is expected. In my experience they were very professional!
I definitely recommend this shop; I took in a picture of what i wanted and the artist sketched it out, we went over it to make sure it was what i wanted! when I was sure then we began. I am in love with the results of my tattoo and couldn't be happier. I can't wait to go back for my next one very soon. Oh and the tattoo artist was Alex!
I came here with my friend who was going to get her second tatt from the same guy that did her first. Her first tatt was cool so I wanted to go with her with the idea in mind that I might get another tattoo. I normally go to Jen at Outer Limits in Orange who really is the best but I couldn't get in with her soon enough. So, I decided to get a tattoo at Boulevard Tattoo. I took with me my Camille Rose Garcia book to show the guy what I wanted..... JR is the name of the dude that worked on me. I am going to make this short because it pisses me off to think about it...
I told him what I wanted. Just the duck/bird drawing on the side of my leg. No, shading on the outside only in the inside. I watched him as he worked but when I saw some blood I turned away. Turned out he had begun to shade the outside of tattoo. He didn't listen to me. I should of been watching the entire time. I thought that he would of done what I wanted.  I noticed that there was another chick in the shop getting a tattoo. She was complaining about the pain. She was given some alcohol after she was told by one of the employees that they had some in the refrigerator.  I couldn't believe it. That thins out the blood.. To make things worse the guy that was working on me was  hitting on me. Even after I told him that I was in a relationship.... Then cholos rolled in and just hung out. Whatever I don't care I grew up around cholos so they don't scare me. It just seemed a little unprofessional for the staff to have their homeboys hang out.
AVOID THIS PLACE.
Now, I have to get the shading on the outside of my tattoo fixed......
Perhaps if I had spoken in Spanish then perhaps homeboy would of got the message and done what I had requested. Â Pinche pendejo!
